Well-organised: good check-in instructions (keysafe code sent by text with directions) and lots of useful stuff (fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle), plus breakfast materials, in room for people who still want reduced contact; bar and restaurant also open and cooked breakfast available for people who don't. Good location for me as I was walking on the Peddars Way trail and it doesn't pass by or go through very many places but Willow House is quite close. Big Tesco nearby for supplies too. Would probably also work well for work-based stays, as easy to come and go at any time of day.
Nothing. I was initially a bit confused by "DIY breakfast" but it worked really well. Don't be put off by that.

In-house continental breakfast was appreciated - cereal, bread (for toasting), preserves, orange squash, yogurt, and tea & coffee. Ideally situated for our needs.
Nowt, really. Will happily stay there again.

I have stayed in this hotel few times and the room and all staff is very friendly and goes above and beyond to help. The food is out of this world. This time I decided to have hot breakfast and now I regret if that I didn’t do it on my previous stays. The gentleman that served me breakfast was so polite and genuinely friendly. I would definitely come back here again.
The mattress is a bit hard but that’s my personal preference. The only minus I would say is the constant noise in the room (like some kind of water system) I did notice two blue barrels on the roof so maybe the noise comes from them.

Good continental breakfast provided in your room. The room was welcoming and warm. The staff were very helpful and made sure you had everything you needed.
Nothing I can think of

Good breakfast for overnight stay but prefer to eat in a dining room. Spacious clean room. Comfortable bed.
Bathroom very small. Shower base very shallow. Hard for a large elderly man to use!

The location was perfect to where I needed to be! The room was clean and well equipped.
I didn't know the BnB wasn't properly open on a Monday, no meals were being served.
There was a fridge in the the room, which was really handy however, it was incredibly noisy throughout the night and kept me awake!

Only stayed overnight. The accommodation was clean and tidy, although the en suite was a bit cramped. Great cooked breakfast in the morning.
Cramped en suite and carpet was stained in places.

It's in a perfect location, visiting my Dad. This is only 10 mins away. Next to town got lovely shops and bakery. Plus, mini Tesco's opposite for any think may need.
Had great stay and visted beaches only 1 hour away.
Staff are lovely , I would stay again 🙂
The bed was a little lumpy for my liking. So, I did not get a full night's sleep. (That's just my preference) as my mate slept like a baby.
There is a little mould in the bathroom that needs a dressing (for price the room expected better) plus the red paint marks by window looks like not fully painted over.

Breakfast was really good ,lovely choices and great value for money. Staff were very helpful and friendly
Outside area was undergoing refurbishment and area was a bit untidy. Music from neighbouring property was a disturbance

It was just a lovely place.
The extractor fan in the bathroom didn’t work (Room no 5) and the cold tap in the shower is needing replacement.

The property was clean, quiet, & the beds were super comfortable.
The food was great & the staff were friendly. We had everything we needed.
We had to leave the bathroom light on after we left just to keep the fan running due to the mass of condensation all over the floor but this was a small thing.

Breakfast was varied and enough - cereal, toast, jams, yogurt, orange juice, tea and coffee.
Location was exactly what we were after.

The staff at The Willow House is very friendly and helpful. They go above and beyond to make you feel like home. The pub next to the accommodation serves the best food we have eaten in long time also the young lady at the bar was very polite and friendly so definitely an excellent addition to the property. Also the housekeeping lady deserves to be mentioned as she was so nice to left our room to clean last so we could get ready.
The mattress are very hard what made our sleep uncomfortable.

Perfect location to visit my family.
Someone had turned off one of the bedside lamps. The plug is under the bed so inaccessible for me.

Good breakfast and varied menu for evening meals, all at reasonable prices
The outside was untidy and a little run down

Lovely main building although the placing of the marquee at the front (which was not in use during our stay of 2 days) does not add to the property.
The room was of a reasonable standard and was clean. During our stay (Jan. 2023) we did not see anyone linked to the accommodation as the covid principles were being applied. There was good text/email communication for instructions to locate room etc and to make contact if needed but felt impersonal as the situation has moved on in relation to covid and no contact is no longer a requirement. There was a basic breakfast in the room, however the fridge had a perculiar and unpleasant smell which affected both the milk and the bread. The jams were sticky to the touch which meant that we did not use these things. The grounds were untidy with rubbish littered around (unused or discarded equipment and fixtures and fittings such as old radiator, pieces of wood and even an old rubber glove) and outside looked generally worn. Hopefully this is because we visited out of season and these things are being fixed. As stated above it was possible to contact the owner but to note we did not do this during our stay.

We’ve stayed numerous times before. It’s perfectly located for visiting family and sharing an evening meal.
The room we stayed in was a good size. The duvet cover was white and had a couple of dirty marks on it. The carpet has numerous stains outside the ensuite it clearly needs replacing. One of the two brown tub chairs had a tear in it. It’s the worst room we’ve stayed in.
4.1
Comfort & cleanliness
Gravelled approach & parking.
4.1
We had a kettle, microwave, toaster and fridge in room. Crockery and utensils also.. Bread, yogurts, cereal and milk in bottle's , enough for both cereal and tea and coffee etc and biscuits, jams for toast included in price. Bed was very comfortable
Draft from gap in front door. TV controls broken, also batteries needed replacing. Furniture in room not clean. We have stayed there before and this room was not upto the standard of previous visits.
