Clean, Comfy rooms and very quiet.
The place was a little dated but didn’t bother me that much.

Breakfast - Clean freshly decorated room. - Shower - electric but powerful. Peaceful location
Bedroom : Fakenham - separate building - dont mind "vintage" furniture but not with stains and rings on the surface - felt as though room was furnished with the cast off's and afterthought. No sense of comfort.
4.5
The setting and grounds were beautiful
Could do with a net curtain st the bedroom window fir privacy

great hotel and grounds. staff very friendly. good food and generous dessert portions 😀
only stayed 2 nights

Everything was acceptable and I had a comfortable stay.
Breakfast was not served until after we had left. A packed Breakfast was given - but the contents were a little miserable in choice and lack substance! It would have helped to know at the time of booking that Breakfast is served at 8.30am. We needed to leave at that time. So felt a little short changed on this!

The room was a good size, clean and tidy. Dinner was very tasty and the dining room was nicely decorated. I arrived in the dark and left at 0930 and so didn't see much of the gardens or rest of the hotel. But it was good to see and stay in an old country house.
Countrywide we all suffered some extreme weather during the week I stayed and as a consequence my comments might be viewed as unfair, but as a hotel you are responsible for guest health and safety. The walk from the car park to the hotel was treacherous with very slippery ice. All that was required to fix this was a sprinkling of salt across the car park. The hotel was cold and I found myself sitting in the dining room with multiple layers of clothing on, e.g. shirt, jumper, gillet. During the night my room was very cold too, even though the heater was on full. I think they turn off the heating at night? Despite contacting the hotel in advance of my stay about my gluten and dairy intolerance I was disappointed to be told at breakfast that they had sold out of gluten free bread the night before. There was also very little choice of gluten free breakfast for me i.e. cereals, dairy free milk etc.

Great staff. Great views from my room
The shower wasn’t good enough to use. Struggled to rinse my hair and being male there is not much of it.

Friendly staff.
Nothing to dislike
4.5
Very nice location, room comfortable
& very clean. Staff very helpful &
friendly. Very reasonable price.
This is not a dislike or criticism but
to note
breakfast starts at 8.30 on the
weekends. I had an early start so
was unable to have, even though
I was B&B board.
