Great choices for Breakfast.
My room could have been warmer .

Have to pay separately for breakfast not included. Went out to Spoons near cathedral for breakfast as the hotel was a bit expensive for us. Having said that it was a nice friendly hotel, the receptionist was very helpful, and it was peaceful when we were there. Large comfy bed. Nice crisp clean linen.
The bed was quite high to climb onto if you are a shorter person or have weaker legs it might be difficult.

Room very comfortable and breakfast choices were excellent
Mountaineering all the stairs to get to our room - top floor - I think either 44 or 48 steps up and sometimes down to reach it.

The great location and affordable parking. The beds are very comfortable. This is the 7th year I’ve stayed and will come back again.
Noticed that the room where the magazines etc were was very dusty. Being a single room perhaps it’s not used as often.
I had requested rooms on the 1 st floor which when I spoke to the receptionist on the phone a few days before was possible and she apparently reserved them for us (my friend also had a single room) but when we arrived we were put on the 3rd floor meaning we had to use the very old fashioned lift - which the receptionist often has to run up to retrieve as the inner door gets left open!
I did not eat in the restaurant this time.

Excellent location, and well presented/equipped room.
Disappointed in the food. We had dinner on one night and the first course I had, Scallops, was spoilt by the plate being only luke warm. Don’t know if that was down to the chef or the serving staff delaying delivery to table. Other food was ok but not of the standard, in our view, to justify the pricing. Also, a mistake was made with our desert order; the docket for the order had not been submitted to the kitchen. We were offered free coffee's as an apology, but this shouldn’t happen in a well run restaurant of this standard. During our stay we noticed that the restaurant did a brisk trade for afternoon teas and pre-theatre meals, but was pretty empty during normal dinner service. We’ve stayed at other Harbour Hotels and this restaurant didn’t make the food standard for us, even though the staff were pleasant in their interactions with us. Finally, building work was going on at the hotel so the small car park at the rear of the hotel was probably more restrictive than normal. Car park at the hotel is very convenient and reasonably priced for Chichester(£10/night), but it’s a bit of a lottery if you can park there due to its small capacity.

Our room was extremely comfortable, though a little small.
Location in the town was extremely good with a choice of restaurants near by, but not near the Harbour!
Our breakfast was first class, tasty and good portions.
We will use the hotel again when we visit Chichester...
Next time, will ask for a larger room, if available.

Clean good location
No air conditioning rooms was very hot

Convenient for city centre
Room was a beautiful Georgian high ceilinged room with original marble fireplace but room completely lacked any paintings or ornaments/flowers and was bland and rather “undressed”.
Covid is no excuse anymore for blandness!

the position
room very small. no air conditioning just an electric fan so room was very hot. my room next to lift which was very noisy as it had a metal gate which had to be closed when leaving could hear the person above my room walking and bath filling up

The face we had to pay £10 per night in the hotel car park, this should be advertised on the website when you book.

Lovely room and bathroom, very clean.
Friendly staff.
The view from the bedroom was horrible - dirty moss / roof/ aircon units. The room was hot and although there was a fan the window was so small you could not open it to get air in.
The wifi for the TV didn't work and although i asked someone to look at it, it was not fixed.
Cleaner woke me up at 7.30 by knocking on the door.

The hotel was central, close to the park, the city centre, cathedral and restaurants.. complimentary GiN was a winner.
Breakfast should be included in the price of the room

finding the room. my husband hit his head on a low beam in the corridor near our room. other guest did this too. should have been warned!!!!
4.0
The location and car parking
The lift is not quaint or charming but hopelessly inefficient. An upgrade is needed.
Our unasked for upgrade to Room 19, a small suite was a disaster. The trek up and down stairs and corridors to find a room with a stupid bath in the corner and a ceiling that was too low was not welcome.

Staff friendly, the room was lovely. They gave us an upgrade to a superior room. Breakfast was fabulous! All in all, a great place to stay.
Nothing!
