Good location, quiet and peaceful. About 20 mins walk from the station. Great walks directly from the property. Local shops supplied our needs and the cafe was great.
It could sleep 3, but some things like the breakfast bar was for 2.
3.5
Close to all facilities
Very basic, the kitchen was in need of a good clean.

Location, ambiance
The shower curtain was inadequate and unsuitable for the installation

Pretty location and modern well fitted out cottage. Neat little back garden and stair gate good for keeping dog downstairs. Fantastic local pub where we had some of the best meals ever. Good location for Buxton and Bakewell too.
Needs a shower mat and extra shower curtain but otherwise fine.

Wonderful place to stay, so easy to get to many attractions and sites within half an hour. Great walks from the property. Kitchen really well equipped. Bed was comfy. Great bathroom. Living room cosy perfect for after a long days hike. Easy to park but it is on the road/where you can find a spot - we never had difficulty.
Neighbours dog didn't like ours so we didn't use the garden at all. Also dogs not allowed upstairs, fair enough and ours was fine sleeping downstairs but just a warning in case you have dog that needs to sleep near you in new places. Could do with a new frying pan.

was very cosy and close by for many walks for the dogs.
couldn’t say a bad thing.

The view is great, the house is well maintained and decorated, we had everything we needed. if you have a dog, they have a special cupboard with all sorts of toys! The check in/ check out was easy and convenient . We had a nice stay!
The house could have been more clean, hair on the floor and dust on the furnitures, it seems like they clean only what we can see; as you see the dirt if you open cupboards (especially in the kitchen) so a bit disappointed about that.
if you wish to be in the center of the village, the location is not the best as you have to walk 10/15 min from the village to access the house. it’s not a big deal but the main road is really dangerous to walk on (we almost been hit by a car) as they are no lights and the other way to go to the village is a little path in a forest and no lights as well so not really convenient especially if you want to go out during the night.

Good clean and comfortable rooms. Great location and close to super markets.
Nothing major

Lovely little house. Good neighbours. Owner really nice to do business with. Recommend!

Beautiful cottage in gorgeous Location. Two lovely pubs a 5 minute walk away that also serve food. Good idea to book a table in advance as they get very busy!
Hot water wasn't consistent.
4.5
Quaint little cottage, perfect for an escape from the city. Lots of lovely walks for the dogs.
Directly opposite to a works site, lots of lorries passing the property.

The cottage is beautiful. And what you would expect from a holiday stay. The surroundings area us beautiful. Plenty of places to walk the dogs and enjoy the natural world and explore. Chinley is a lovely village. Will definitely come again.
The only thing I can say is there wasn't a broom and the vacuum didn't work. I would if preferred more cleaning items.

The location was central to so many wonderful walks

Excellent, two nights away in a new part of the country for us. Property exceeded expectations, great location and excellent value for money.
Wi-Fi was fiddly to connect, for future reference you are looking for a Vodafone router (which will probably be asleep/powered down). Not a biggy and fine once we had spent 15 mins deciphering it!
4.5
Excellent location and very suitable for our 2 dogs - with dog bowls and towels provided!
2.5
the location was brilliant for
the village, walks and pubs
needed much more attention to
detail when it was renovated as there was a sharp corner in bathroom where tiling and metal fitting came into a sharp point and I cut my hand. The bath was very slippery and no shower mat. shower was very poor and
difficult to get right temperature. there was a dirty towel on floor
of bathroom when we arrived and wet pants in washing machine.
Garden poor with old mop head and discarded plastic plants thrown there. This could be a very nice property but
needs good management and
care.
3.5
very nice inside, very nicely decorated and facilities were good, great that we could bring our dogs and towels were provided for them.
there is a factory over the road with traffic going in and out, neighbours have access to pass through the garden, sofa was small
5.0
The cottage was in a great location for us to explore the surrounding areas with our dogs. The owner was very thoughtful and had provided towels for the dogs too. Kitchen was well equipped and the cottage was well insulated. Will come again
Nothing to fault really.
4.0
Bright, clean and tidy cottage, in a small, friendly village - ideal for visiting the Peak District.
Situated across the road from a factory with lorries coming in and out and worker's shift changes (day and night). Could have had a chest of drawers or something in small bedroom - nowhere to hang your clothes. A rug in the lounge would have made it more cosy.
4.0
Great location. Lovely space that was well maintained. The garden was also dog friendly and secure
There were a couple of maintenance issues ie the bathroom sink did ot drain well and the extractor hood did not work in the kitchen
4.0
Handily placed for local villages. Easy to park, the cottage was nicely presented. Dog friendly and even towels and bowls for him.
The 2nd bedroom has no storage facilities, the sofa is uncomfortable. There was no hand wash in the bathroom. Early morning noise from factories opposite.
0.5
The cottage is located across the road from factory premises with lorries coming and going all day from 6am. Difficult to find a suitable parking space as the neighbours all have several vehicles. Cottage was uncomfortable and not very clean. Far from being a home from home. Nothing was provided by way of grocery items or a welcome pack. The shower was outdated and had a horrible shower curtain around it. The neighbours had a number of dogs which were kept in an outhouse and barked until late at night.
5.0
Everything was clean, the house it self is beautiful and the area is nice too. Only a few suggestions, the sofas
