Pleasant room. Good breakfast. Excellent staff.
There is nothing negative to report

The bed was very comfortable but the room was quite small. The bathroom was a reasonable size.
It was a good location for walking into the city.
The price almost £200 per night (week days) without breakfast.

Lovely old building which retains original design and features. Room was spacious, well furnished, warm, comfortable with a lovely bathroom. Staff were all excellent in particular the reception guy who checked me in, made time to ask how my Day had been, telling me the info I needed & a little of what I could do in the city.
Breakfast was delicious, again staff were friendly and helpful.
Parking on site, which is a huge advantage, courtyard garden with lots of seating. Convenient location for city.
I’ll definitely stay there again
Nothing to dislike

A beautiful property, very close to the centre of Winchester. Breakfast was lovely and our room was comfortable.
Housekeeping came and made beds and tidied around, but didn’t clean the bathroom - which needed doing.
Child’s fold up bed was very low to the ground.

A nice central location . Friendly staff
Disappointed with the room. Scuff marks on walls, and chipped skirting boards.
8.0
Courtyard dining, comfy beds
Breakfast was as is the way not hot, warm but not hot, I like a breakfast to be sizzling

The location near to the centre of Winchester. The garden and the quiet location, no traffic noise. The car parking was very close and convenient. We liked the overall ambiance of the Hotel.
The bathroom was very basic with a single bath/shower. The shower was a large down spray which my Wife disliked because it made her hair wet in spite of the shower cap. There were no grab handles or rails which for an older couple like ourselves in our mid seventies is essential.
The bed was very uncomfortable and lumpy and the pillows were very basic
My Wife noted the yogurt at breakfast had only a day to go before it expired.
The room was very cold from the air conditioning which was controlled centrally. We asked reception to increase the temperature in the room and then the room was too hot as the air conditioning never came on. Again we contacted reception and asked them to adjust the air conditioning to make it cooler. It was so cold in the night I had to get up and put my clothes on to warm up.
We found it all so unpleasant that we decided to go home a day early.

The hotel was in an excellent location and our room was amazing
The little extra touches like the Ferrero Rocher with the coffee machine and l'occitaine toiletries, including pillow mist and lip balm were lovely
The outdoor courtyard was beautiful and a great place to enjoy a glass of wine in the evening
Highly recommend
We found nothing not to like

Location, staff, room is perfect. Traveled with a child - the hotel provided us with a cot and towels for the child.
No lift hence might be tricky with a pushchair

Bed was very comfortable although the room felt a little cramped, plenty of space in the bathroom though.
The barman is worth a mention for his good customer service.

Room very comfortable
Restaurant menu very limited, and not great when served.
No atmosphere in restaurant

The full English breakfast was a little…..underwhelming. Great location for central Winchester.
The hotel is starting to look just a little tired and could do with a refresh……

Room looked newly decorated and was super comfy and stylish. Great service in the bar and it was a treat to have well priced champagne. We had a snack at the bar and the fish finger sandwich was one of best ever tasted. The barman from Scotland was super nice. Great location near to train station. Will be visiting again!

Full of character, ideal location near the town centre.
Disappointed that the bar area was not as comfortable or attractive compared to other H du V hotels we’ve stayed in.

We had been given an upgrade but I feel even that wasn’t worth the money we had spent. I think we would’ve been very disappointed with the room we had paid for.

Excellent room
no room in bathroom for wash bags
Food at dinner left a lot to be desired. seemed like a trainee was given the job of using a microwave.

Helpful concierge- Suzanna very good.
Mastic peeling off the screen at the bottom of the shower.
Lack of public rooms. Only one comfortable chair in room.

I booked my boss and his colleague into the hotel. They loved it, impeccably clean, lovely rooms and the staff were a credit to the hotel. Definitely would recommend and definitely would book again.
Thank you.

Good location, reserved parking, friendly staff
Pillows/headboard smelt horrible, not sure if protectors had been washed in a while.
Bizarre air vent above the bed (head level) kept sending out random blasts of cold air - full of dust inside and other things I’d rather not think about.
Couldn’t even have a decent shower in the morning, rain shower head with no wand, set so high that by the time it reached 5ft 4 me, it was barely a trickle of water.
Toilet seat also broken, was like sitting on a bucking bronco.
Definitely not the luxury we had paid for or were looking forward to.
