Absolutely stunning lodge, It had everything needed, and more for a stay away, wonderfully comfortable beds & sofa, shower was great. So many little extra touches that we didn't expect made the lodge so homely and comfortable. Beautiful location, the grounds and parking area maintained beautifully. Loved watching the birds on the feeders each morning using the binoculars provided at the lodge.
We had an amazingly comfortable stay here!
Hollybush lodges really exceeded our expectations, and we would definitely return.
Highly recommended 👌
There was nothing we didn't like

We booked all three of the cabins for a family trip - from here we spent our days at Longleat and in Bath (both approximately 20-30 minute drive away). The cabins were in a rural, quiet location which was very relaxing.
The properties were all immaculate and comfortable. Unfortunately we had a lot of rain during our stay but the garden area would have been a lovely place to spend some time in the sun. Check in and out process was very straightforward. Really nice touches from the hosts for our arrival.
I would not hesitate to recommend and would be more than happy to return!
- The wifi wasn’t reliable and we couldn’t get the smart TV to work.
- Larger towels and a tea towel would have been good (but I appreciate this is personal preference/a very minor observation).

The accommodation was brilliant. You can tell the owners want to give you the best possible experience and have real pride in their venue. It was Clean, quiet, spacious, comfortable and every little detail had been thought about. The extra little decorations here and there and the Easter egg on arrival were all features that make this place stand out from anywhere else we have stayed. I would definitely stay again and for even longer next time.

beds were super super comfortable, great location, had everything you needed. little goodies left for us, and even supplied gluten free goodies for part of the families allergies.
wouldn’t say there was anything we didn’t like, just issues with the hot towel rail right next to the toilet seat which was a challenge with my young child. floors seemed dirty as turned socks very dark on the bottoms, few stains on one of the bedsheets. overall the place was lovely and will visit again.

Clean and beautifully presented self-contained two-bedroomed wooden lodge with good facilities in a quiet location.
We would just have liked good reading lights in the bedroom and light over the kitchen worktop.

The location of rhe lodge was peaceful and beautiful with lots of wildlife.
Inside was so very comfortable and has everything you could possibly need.
Towels could have been bigger.

The lodge was beautifully maintained, and the area was so peaceful. If you want tranquility this is definitely a place to visit.
I can't really think of anything I didn't like, it was a lovely break

The location, cleanliness, size and the amenities. Really child friendly and perfect for a quiet getaway but not too far from what Somerset and Dorset could offer. These lodges where absolutely what we were looking for.
Nothing to be fair. Price was fair for size and location. Far better than Center Parcs.

The lodge was immaculate and equipped with everything. Absolutely stunning. Lovely walks and the local pub was a short walk and friendly landlord.

The lodge was lovely and secluded with very little noise. There was loads of wildlife outside the front door which my daughter loved. The lodge was spacious and clean.
On arrival or during the stay we never saw the hosts once, I thought it would of been nice for them to see how our stay was going been as we were there for 4 nights.

We couldn't have wished for a nicer stay! The lodge was exceptionally clean and was equipped with everything we'd need for a self catering holiday. The beds were very comfortable and there were so many thoughtful touches around the lodge like binoculars for bird watching, decorated wheelbarrow to transport luggage, chocolates on the beds and a basket of treats on arrival. All these extra touches made our stay even more special. My daughter loved the lodge so much she couldn't wait to get back to it every afternoon after our day trips out! I highly recommend this to anyone looking for self-catering accommodation in Somerset.
Absolutely nothing! It was perfect.

Highly recommended! The accommodation is fantastic, well equipped, very clean, and comfortable. The peace and quiet (it is rural) was exactly as hoped for. Thank you!

Easy check-in with key in lockbox. The lodge was spotlessly clean, spacious and well-equipped. The decor was lovely and appropriately-themed. It was warm, inviting and had a fresh, subtle fragrance in the air. The beds were very comfortable. The lounge area had enough room for 4 people. Our lodge had a small, rattan-style seat near the corner sofa, not the matching armchair shown on the website, which would have been more comfortable. A lovely view of trees, plants, wildlife from the lounge doors, kitchen window and the terrace - with views of some fields further away. No washing machine, but that wasn't a problem for us.
Quiet location. We weren't disturbed by anyone in the other 2 lodges nearby - being in the first lodge, we were only aware of neighbours when they were passing our lodge - No noise apart from nature and the occasional car driving by. Outdoor lighting was useful and the car park had a security camera, which gave us a sense of security. Car park spaces are unallocated, but with 2 spaces available per lodge, there was plenty of room for everyone.
Some lovely touches like chocolate on the beds on arrival, welcome bowl with some tea, coffee, biscuits etc and some milk in the fridge. Double room had a storage cupboard with some hi-vis vests to borrow if you want to go for a walk (country roads - no separate pathways along the road).
Having only one bathroom/toilet was not very practical in the end, for our family of 2 adults and 2 teens (not a fault of the lodge, just a learning experience for us).
The heated towel rail was next to the toilet, so you had to sit at an angle in order to avoid your thighs touching it - whether it's on or not, it was uncomfortable. The toilet roll holder was also a little too close, so you had to lift your left elbow to get to it (even our smaller teen found it awkward).
Husband found the lighting in the bathroom insufficient, especially for shaving. The main mirror was above the side of the toilet, with a small pull-out mirror beside the sink.
Not enough storage in the bedrooms. The twin room had a narrow chest of drawers and no hanging space (unless you count the hooks behind the door). A similar set of drawers in the double room. The previously-mentioned storage cupboard was so cold that we didn't hang up anything in there and it had limited space. In the end, we just used our suitcases as storage.

I visit family in Bath regularly with my two children. Now I have stayed at Hollybush barn I will not be staying anywhere else. The location is perfect, the lodge itself is stunning and clean.
During my stay the staff were very helpful...
There is nothing to dislike...

Perfect setting ,my family and I absolutely loved the lodge ,it has everything you need for a family getaway.
Hard to find fault, the only thing that would of been amazing would be some kind of fire but of course being a wooden log cabin i completely understand this opens up many risks.

Loved the lodge, the layout and the way it was furnished and equipped. Felt really safe with excellent cleaning and Covid safe procedures in place.
Nothing.

Beautiful cabin in a gorgeous location, very well equipped, very comfortable.

We loved the rural location. Very relaxed and the lodges were beautifully furnished and very comfortable!

Very little
too small
No washing machine a necessity in my view the excuse being no available cupboard but there is
Unsuitable for anyone with mobility issues
No spare towels and those provided were of a poor quality
Lighting poor and even when supplied with an extra lamp that didn’t work
Extremely overpriced £150 per night out of season
Owner needs to rethink !!
At the exorbitant cost guests are still expected to strip the beds
5* price for 3/4 * facility
Car definitely required
If staying at peak season it would be difficult to avoid other guests
Owner has no input except for collecting the cash
DO NOT BOOK
Much better self catering facilities locally for a fraction of the cost
Very very disappointing and a very expensive stay

A beautiful cosy clean lodge with everything you could need for a nice break. It’s located in the lovely countryside and the perfect hub for exploring different places. Beds were very comfortable and has all the amenities you could think of. Can’t wait to return!
Nothing it was excellent, thank you!

Loved the location, everything was super clean and tidy. Super cosy. Internet was good. All the facilities were great - really comfortable bed. We had an amazing time and would book again for sure.
One small thing was the noise coming from the outside drain when it rained. Me and my boyfriend had some trouble sleeping on that night unfortunately. I think because it is curved when the water hits the bottom it makes a loud noise.
The sofa could be a bit better and the shower spills water even with the glass put in place.
