Staff and main hotel, restaurant and breakfast were amazing
My room, Sadly the matress was one of the most uncomfortable I have slept on. It also had fan that ran all night under my room. I will stay again just not that room

Excellent room, comfy bed, great breakfast
More of a grumble really , the floor boards were a little noisy /squeaky, but what do you expect with such a beautiful old building

Good!
We were really impressed that, when we came in after our concert, when the restaurant was closed, the staff looked after us with excellent fresh-cooked fish and chips. They could not have been more helpful.
No issues: parking was a bit tight!

Characterful bedroom. Good wifi. Friendly staff. Good food at supper and breakfast.
Lovely walks from the village down to the Thames and along the Thames path.
Quite a lot of noise from bedroom above - squeaky floorboards! So if I was to stay again I would ask for a room on the top floor.

It is beautiful and characterful, but cosy and modernised in a wonderful way
At breakfast, some music or radio etc in the background would make all the difference- it was so silent and therefore a little awkward in a room of whispering strangers! That’s the only (tiny) flaw I can think of!

It was a beautiful property and the staff were lovely and attentive will 100% stay again. Also the breakfast was lovely
the room was really hot but they provided a fan

lovely hotel and friendly staff, great breakfast
a very minor thing, but it would have been nice to have the fire going in the bar

Staff were very helpful and welcoming, the Hotel was warm and welcoming, very charming with a lot of character. Rooms were very comfortable and beds as well. Nice size bathroom and good powerful shower. We ate in the dining room and the food was really excellent and a well appointed dining room. We also ate breakfast the next day which was equally good.
Hotel is in a lovely village and area and we had a good walk the next day. Would definitely go back. Happy to recommend it.
Nothing really - parking was full up when we got there at 7pm. But it wasn't really an issue as there were lots of places nearby to park on very quiet streets.

A hotel that has some heritage and history. Olde Worlde rooms with ‘crooked’ beams and floors… loved it!
The room was small but lovely. No complaints there 🙂
The quality of service from the server at breakfast was exemplary.
Nothing much… In fact nothing at all.

Very old quirky building - breakfast good and staff pleasant
Hot in room and noisy outside although not a busy road. Dorchester disappointing.

very clean nice Breakfast nice clean outside area Bed and room nice Breakfast and Bar staff friendly
fan in bedroom doesn’t work properly tiles on bathroom floor have come unstuck. view from room 5 window not great due to work outside shower was terrible
temperature fluctuates set it before you get in it. extraction fan coming away from ceiling in bathroom towel hook on door needs fixing why does it have
2 big different padded headboards above the double bed also why is the bathroom fan switch not left on as it only works when you switch the light on anyway

nice clean. actually a lovely room. no complaints about the room what so ever.
I so hate being negative about something. everything was great. apart from evening meal. portion. small. expensive and like Wetherspoons had made it. now if it was from spoons. No complaints because it would cost around 5 quid. but 17 quid for what I got I’m thinking nah. others have had a go at the drink prices. however I think these are pretty average to be honest

Helpful staff- they sorted out a meal from the kitchen even though chef had gone home ill, large room, lovely quiet village location, very old characterful hotel, good breakfast in an amazing beamed room
Our room was fine but would benefit from a bit of decorating and more plug sockets. In fact, the decorators were doing some work at the time in the public areas.

Food was good. Location was good. Staff friendly.
The bathroom could do with being updated-cracked floor tiles, black mould in places and toilet roll holder had not been cleaned for sometime.
