The staff at the desk were amazing. The hotel was in a great location and was comfortable and clean.

Beautiful terrace and great location. Slightly away from the hustle and bustle but still very much in the happening part of Florence.

the Location

The view from the terrace is good but is available to any one who uses the bar. I regret not spending 8 euro on a cocktail rather than close to 50 times that for a disappointing room.
The photos are entirely misleading. The hotel is on the top two floor of a building and reached by a mosquito filled shoddy lift which is also used to empty bins. The area is quite far from the centre and while is it full of life (market, your hipster bars), it is not the kind of neighbourhood for these prices. This fabric of the building is poor and the air-conditioning ineffective and old.

It is an excellent location. Easy to walk to everything and lots of amenities around the hotel if you don't feel like leaving her neighborhood. The hotel bar is excellent. The service, the snacks and the wine and not to mention the view is very nice. Especially if you happen to have a rainy day.
The lobby is a bit disappointing. While it is clean, old and worn out carpet can only look so clean. It would be nice to have it updated and maybe a bit brighter as it is a very dark reception. The lobby doesn't lead on to how nice the rest of the hotel is.

The room was a great mix of traditional and comfort, with stable wifi and a fantastic view. Very good shower and clean facilities. Really helpful staff on the front desk. Great breakfast choices. Enjoyed sitting on the Loggia in the evening for sunset. The hotel is located on a square which had quality places to eat and a different market on Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Short walking distance to the Boboli Gardens and Pitti Palace, can also walk to the Uffizi Gallery and the centre of Florence,
It did not bother us at all but the square was a gathering place for lots of people and the restaurants have tables out on the square, so it was very noisy in the square on Friday and Saturday nights. It was a very vibrant and happy atmosphere. In our bedroom, the double-glazing cut most of the noise out but it was audible after midnight. We have no issues with sleeping in slightly noisy environments but if you did, this might be a concern,

We had a lovely time, the room was bigger than I had anticipated and the bed very comfortable. We had an amazing view on the duomo from the room and the bathroom was very comfortable. Now it is an old palace so when you arrive you can get a lift up the reception, but then you will have to walk up the stairs to go to your room. That didn't bother us as the place is very charming and we didn't expect it any other way. Beware: the terrace for breakfast or drinks will take your breath away. I was literally wishing for rain so that we would have to stay on the terrace longer and do nothing else :) Breakfast itself was not mind-blowing but to good standards and I did not feel like there was anything missing.
The palace is on a square that gets very animated at night with restaurants/bar... so expect noise. But then again, it adds to the charm during the warm summer nights.

Loved the comfort of the room with a view. The staff were efficient, professional and friendly. I liked the position on the Piazza San Spirito which a little less frantic then on the other side of the Arno.
The loggia for breakfast and aperitif or just to relax is very, very beautiful.
A special treat!
All wonderful!

the location is everything you’d dream of in Florence, the rooms were massive, clean and comfortable. loved it all plus, the Loggia bar is delicious and has the best views.
I would’ve liked to have less noise from the piazza below us after 2am but that isn’t the hotel’s fault at all. otherwise it was great.

the rooftop bar is great and the staff are very friendly. especially rita - we loved talking to her.
we stayed in room 4 which is actually located in the hotel lobby and opposite the rooftop bar. next door to us were the toilets for customers of the bar. this meant that our room was very noisy and the noise of people leaving did not stop until around 23:30.
Our room was very nice and clean but on out last night my partner trod on broken glass twice in the room.

cleaning could have been better in our room. Loggia bar was very expensive. would have appreciated maps and local information in our room.

Hotel Palazzo Guadagni was an absolute great! The service from the moment we arrive until we departed was exceptional. Located in a quaint piazza, only a few minute walk to Ponte Vecchio, and all the others great places of interest.
We decided to celebrate our new year hour on their beautiful terrace and I would say that after spending in previous years many New Year Eves in different parts of the world, this one will most definitely make one of the best in “my book”! Our room was absolutely beautiful, spacious and had a most amazing view of the Florence rooftops and church dome.
Hotel Palazzo Guadagni is definitely our hotel of choice when travelling to Florence.
P.S. - We had one of our best meal nearby at the PITI Cafe.

Having breakfast nos coffee in the loggia terrace overlooking the Basilica and Piazza of Santo Spirito, before heading out for our daily explorations quickly became one of the highlights of our stay. Our room even when it was located in an upper level without elevator access provided memorable views into the city below and Brunelleschi’s Dome in the background. We enjoyed the animation and livelihood from the Piazza below (even at late hours of the night) as well as the sound of the bells from the Basilica across the street (and landmark in its own) tolling before mass. Evening drinks in the terrace provided the views for the ideal night cap.
Since the hotel is in the upper levels of an authentic revamped Palazzo, the arrival sequence is a bit sequestered and you need to find your way up thru a small elevator and take a few steps into the reception area. This does not detract to the overall experience, (just ask for help with your luggage) since the rooms, the loggia terrace and the great location greatly compensate for that.

Everything was wonderful! The hotel itself was quaint and lovely. The rooftop terrace offered the best view, the room was stunning. The staff was so welcoming, friendly and helpful. And the area was perfectly situated to explore Florence. I feel truly lucky to have discovered this hotel.
The hotel was exceptional.
