Perfect for a family of 5. Plenty of space, really beautifully designed and clean.
The bathroom upstairs was way too hot but we solved that quickly.

The School House was an absolute delight. It provided a lovely step into the past without compromising modern amenities. The attention to detail was impressive with so much upcycled so effectively and the use of environmentally friendly products throughout. We particularly liked the use of student art on the soft furnishings and of course the training facility for young people with autism. The adjoining cafe was a bonus with delicious cake and a warm friendly welcome.
The only slight downside is the lack of en suite in two rooms. There are however dedicated bathrooms in each case.

The stone cottage is really clean and really cute with original features and at the same time very comfortable and warm (central heating) especially during cold autumn days/nights! There's everything you need in the kitchen to make a brew and some and the bedrooms are spacious and comfortable. One of the three bedrooms is on the ground floor, so it's also suitable for people with mild mobility problems. Off street parking is a bonus. Also for charging e-cars. The are two pubs nearby, the villages of Wolverton and, in opposite direction, Stony Stratford with more options for dining also in walking distance and a cafe next door but that is not open during weekends in autumn/winter.
The location is ideal for walking trips.
Nothing to add here!

Very comfortable and clean. Fabulous interior. Great location. Little added extras made it even more special.

Great space would stay again, clean and tidy.
Could hear movement from other guest early in the morning but this could never be helped but woke me both mornings.
Othe people filled the car park on the Sunday so struggled to park.
4.5
Lovely room with a separate but private bathroom. Shared kitchen and living room and parking. Clean and comfortable. Great communication from the owner.
Could do with more storage in the school room. Little space for clothes.

nothing bad to say about this lovely Old School House

School room the en suite.
Quirky , clean, and the bed in the school room very comfortable .
Bedding and towels lovely.. the toiletries were great ..
shower pressure and tv all very good.
Whilst there is a kettle and cups in the room, you have to go down to the kitchen for the tea sugar coffee milk.
So in essence you have to go to the kitchen to make a drink.
I understand the eco reasons for not supplying them in the room with packaging, but maybe a supply in the rooms would be helpful.
When it says the tea making facilities are in the room, it doesn’t mean you can make a drink in your room you will need to go downstairs .
The radiator was on permanently in the bathroom. It was a very hot day .. and I couldn’t turn it off..
Internal glazing meant I was unsure if we could open the windows ..
Noise from the other room using the bathroom in our corridor next to our room..
and noise from the down stairs room getting in to the property at 1am woke us up as the locks are tricky on the front door.
Think because they are fire doors it’s very noisy when they open them and they slam .

I like being able to sit in the living room and also to make tea and prepare food, the room is very pretty and the little extras provided are great
I have stayed here before and will stay again (I work inMK) , however this time I stayed the bed was really noisy, every time I moved during the night the springs squeaked, it wasn't like it last time, perhaps it just needs a bit of attention

What a gem! The whole ethos of this little community project is amazing. The place has been restored with integrity and charm to provide a comfortable and characterful holiday home. It is so nice to stay somewhere that feels like home. All the historical features and information really make a difference. We were even left some home-baked scones on our arrival and fresh milk to make a cup of tea. The surroundings and location were perfect.
There were no negatives - everything was perfect!

Beautiful location, fantastic facilities- so well equipped. Literally they had thought of everything & there were lovely personal touches with home made cakes etc too. Thank you to John and whoever else is involved for the fabulous stay. We loved it.
Nothing - it was all perfect!
Only 1 very tiny gripe was in the twin room - 1 of the beds was squeaky when tossing and turning in the night

The communal areas were very nice and comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked and the whole house was very clean.
It was the perfect room for a short business trip!

Character accomodation at the edge of town ... but walkable to essential facilities... and all requirements for a couple of nights provided.
4.5
character retained and in keeping with the area.
The hall light that would flick on all the time irrespective of time of day. Not much to criticise really.

The Cottage was restored to a high standard. There was QR codes located around the house that gave information on the house.

A very clean and large room. Well equipped with tea and coffee facilities along with biscuits and crisps. The fridge was also stocked with milk and orange juice. A very nice sitting room with TV and comfortable chairs. The kitchen was exceptionally clean. Communications from the owner were detailed and comprehensive. Wifi was great.
The room was not en-suite. Although there was a private bathroom you had to walk through a communal area to get to it. It would have been useful to have a sink in the bedroom at least. The toilet seat was not fixed securely and there was no shower gel in the dispenser. I'm sure the owner would have put these right had I had chance to call him though.
4.5
immaculately clean and comfortable. well stocked with everything necessary to provide a homely experience. somebody has gone to a lot of trouble to provide a lovely homely feel.
only one room has an en-suite. the other two rooms require the guest to traverse a corridor for or two rooms downstairs to access their en-suites.

Characterful house with some vintage furniture, all rooms had own bathrooms, many essentials supplied, kitchen very well equipped, easy access to dog walks across the road from the property down to the river, community owned and managed

Very quaint property with lots of character - the local school has made printed curtains/artwork around the property . Easy to find and a good amount of parking. Check in was easy with key left in lock box. Very clean and comfy. Kitchen & dining area was spacious and had everything you needed for cooking - milk and orange juice was provided for the stay. The bathroom was spacious and clean with a powerful shower. We stayed for a concert at Stadium MK and used taxis to get to/from which cost about £20 a journey. The village of Wolverton is very close and there’s a pub serving food about a minute’s drive away.
The front door wasn’t easy to unlock - every member of our party had trouble with it and the guests who were there at the same time did also.

We loved the Old School house, quirky and interesting

we loved our stay at the old school house.
we were in lovely surroundings, close to the centre but far enough away for it to be quiet.
we loved walking around wolverton, which was an idyllic old town.
we especially loved the friendly little robin who visited us in the courtyard.
we are very eco conscious and we loved all the little touches, like all the household items were eco friendly. lots of recycling room, and even to the living roofs on the shed outside.
we had a bit of a nightmare getting back from Stadium MK, the taxi drivers didn’t seem to know where the place was, obviously not the owners fault in anyway, just that we had a problem finding it on the way home late at night.

Lovely property with character, ideal location to visit lots of National Trust properties, Bletchley and Milton Keynes museum well worth a visit.

Very comfortable room. I liked that there was a lounge area and kitchen that could use. Quit area most of the time. The staff provided small treats of fudge and biscuit for my arrival. Really enjoyed my stay.
Took a while to find key safe. Fortunately, there was someone else staying there when I arrived who was very helpful.Would have liked a contact phone number before arrival. Found number in the room.
