spacious accommodation for two, milk and brioche buns was a pleasant surprise, lovely to see some proper mugs, nice outdoor area
no coffee supplied, toilet cistern hanging of wall, shower door, vents and light covers need sorting, very small shower, parking is a squeeze.

The place is indeed very comfortable and peacefull allowing for proper rest.
There's no shop in this village, but there's one in the next village, just a 5-minute drive away.

The location was lovely. And huge front decking area to sit outside. Clean sheets and towels. Two toilets. Hosts communication was great.
None of the downstairs windows could be opened, only two out of the three bedroom windows could open too.
Strange smell when it had been locked up for a period of time. Lots of clutter about the place. And the kitchen if you can call it that, is basically an under stairs cupboard. Cutlery could be found in the living room. Very strange set up. Cobwebs on the windows. Bedrooms were ok, the one room you couldn’t open was like a sauna which made difficult to sleep in. Bedrooms again to much furniture in them and lots of books, collecting dust. No dustpan or cleaning equipment. Very strange set up. But could have the potential to be a great stay. Slightly disappointed.

Really easy to get to being just off A5. Lovely spot and private.
Needs a dedicated Parking space with a sign that stops other people from parking in your spot.

Nice to have tea, milk and biscuits available in the kitchen. Plenty of towels. Bed was very comfy.
Parking was available but difficult to get in and out of.

The property had no hot water, no heating and no WiFi.
The owner ignored all contact for 24 hours and I had to leave the property and pay for further accommodation. They refused to refund any money meaning I’ve lost hundreds of pounds.

Self catering , location good
Quite satisfied with property , a little dated but clean.

Sadly there was nothing to like.
Parking was a nightmare
Cold
Kitchen was dire, literally one person was too many. Dirty, no utensils, dirty pans. No knives, no cutting boards, no washing up liquid, no dishcloths, no cleaning liquids.
Furniture was thick with dust.
One light bulb in a five or six chandelier - dark and dingy.
Curtains dirty and drab all through the house.
No heating in the dinning room
Had to get the host to change the bedding as the single bed had fleas in it.
Not acceptable at all !!! £245 for two nights is a joke, we will never return, totally ruined our weekend.

Nice cottage, very clean. The beds were comfy. Nice clean bedding and towels. The shower was warm and the living room was cosy.
The kitchen was very tight, hard to comfortably wash up and certainly not for making any meals in. It had a microwave and fridge which was good just for lunches. The cottage seems like it is used as storage a bit with all of the owners possessions in there.
3.5
The hosts were really helpful as we didn’t get access details from Booking.com. Lovely spacious accommodation for a family. Great location to get to Whipsnade and Bletchley Park
The kitchen was a lot smaller than expected with no oven. WiFi only worked in the dining room

Nothing it was not what we booked. The owner had double booked my booking and tried to lie blaming Booking.Com saying she hadn’t received booking yet she had sent a private message confirming it. The owner was also rude and surly demanding that I send her pictures of the booking, despite me telling her we were just about to eat. She insinuated that I’d lied about making the booking and initially told me I would have to pay more money.
If we had arrived later, we’d have had nowhere to stay as someone else also had a booking for the property.
Parking was a nightmare! There is no signage to indicate which property is yours. There is no outside lighting we had to use phone torch to find key hole. Kitchen is actually a cupboard under the stairs and so tiny it was difficult to even make a cup of tea. There is very little cutlery. Wi-Fi is almost nonexistent the connection was so poor. The stairs are very steep with a dangerous sharp bend. Bathroom is downstairs. Taps had green lime scale . The shower is not fit for purpose. There was no shower mat in the bath to stop slipping. There is no bedside lamp or table. The bed was very soft.

We have stayed here 3 times now and have loved it every time. Clean, cosy and very private 1 bed cottage. I think the hot water is shared with the other holiday home on site, as it seems to run out quickly, but the host is very responsive and helpful if you need the hot water turned on again. The kitchenette has a microwave and hob. There are always tea bags available and fresh milk in the fridge. The pack of biscuits left for us for our most recent stay were lovely. There is private, off-road parking on site and you let yourself in using the key safe by the door. Lovely and friendly host, who is very responsive to messages and has always accommodated slightly late check-out times for us. This little cottage is amazing value for money.
Kitchen roll and a couple of tea towels in the kitchen would be so handy, but we just bring our own.

Location was good, but not easy to find when dark.
The parking was not good

Helpful hosts and easy check-in. Property is old and quirky and spacious and the bedrooms are large and cosy.
We came with very small children and it wasn't really suitable for them. The major downside was the kitchen - it's little more than a cubby hole with a sink, small hob, small fridge, toaster and microwave. It would have been impossible to cook anything in it - we struggled to heat up milk for bottles and porridge in the morning. You could only get one person in there at a time. Crockery is kept in the lounge because there's no storage in the kitchen, which just added to the difficulty.
Hot water isn't plentiful so by the time one person had a shower the water was barely warm for the remaining people. I contacted the hosts who were very helpful and were able to manually prime the boiler to give us more hot water but because of the type of boiler it is the problem just happened again the next day.
I wouldn't recommend the property for anyone with young children but adults would get by ok.

The building has history.
There are comments relating to issues with the property going back 2 years and the issues are as current today as they were then.

Great Shower.
The couch although comfortable was a bit tired.

Lovely house, very quiet and peaceful.
Rooms were big. Location was great. Few miles from Leighton buzzard and train links to London.
I went with 15yr old daughter and 11 yr old son and they loved it and asked when could they go back.
The only thing I could fault is size of kitchen.
This is due to the building.'The old chapel: is a bit of a hint It had everything for us, microwave, oven, kettle.
It didn't effect us much as we ate out a lot.

Was nice location
Heating didn’t work and was cold

Lots of potential, good size and location good for our needs
Hard to find
Dated - needs updating. Sofa is trashed and left bits everywhere despite them covering with a blanket. Mattress on bed worn and bed uncomfortable in general. Parking is a challenge- 4 spots total and barely. Hard to navigate in the day and impossible at night. No hot water either and spiders everywhere! Lots of potential but disappointing. Also not clear when booking that two properties on site and that we were in the annex as opposed to main cottage.

I loved the location and the property itself.
The property was very traditional, quaint and idyllic and provided exactly the experience I was seeking.
The beds were so comfortable we slept like logs on both nights, not waking up once.
The cottage was very well appointed and was clean and tidy.
Parking was a little awkward because all it takes is someone to park awkwardly and it makes parking difficult for others, that’s not a fault with property as such but if there were some car park style guidlines then it would help.

Maria was very helpful, had all amenities and facilities. Maria was also helpful in directing me as google maps did not take me to the right place.
Bed could have been a bit more comfortable, but my partner was fine with it so it's quite subjective! It was a bit hard to find via google maps
3.5
Spacious, comfortable as convenient for our needs.
Unfortunately we couldn't access the WiFi in the bungalow which was disappointing and inconvenient.
3.5
It's a cute little house in a courtyard. It has its own private patio. It's self-contained and private, but not isolated. We were attending a party nearby so did not spend much time there. The kitchen seemed to have all the necessary stuff if you needed to cook. Wifi was good. Very peaceful location and parking easy outside the window.
There's shared hot water with other rentals in the courtyard, so the shower was a bit cool on the first day as we were last to use the water....The second morning, we got wise!!
There's no village shop, so do take some supplies like milk and breakfast stuff if you'll need it, otherwise you'll need to drive.

Privacy
Timer on the light in the bathroom, went off before shower finished. This could have been very dangerous if showering during the night.

The accommodation had character
We thought it was a little "tired" and needs some care and attention to make it value for money. The ad states toiletries are provided and there was a used bottle of shower gel left - not enough for three people and not very appealing either. Although it was a very hot weekend, it was very chilly the day we arrived and even though we followed the instructions provided it did not work. The water was barely warm enough to have a shower. All of these points were addressed when I sent a text to query them ( possibly not the heating as it then got very hot!)
Be aware that the kitchenette is very small - a cupboard under the stairs! There is a fridge and microwave but it's very small. There is no wheelie bin to place rubbish and it got a bit windy after three days!
The cottage was lovely bit small improvements could have made it so much nicer. It felt a bit unloved and that's a shame. Lots of foreign language books so it felt like someone lived there and had been kicked out for out stay but I could be wrong.
Overall we had a great time but that wasn't down to the accommodation
3.5
it’s self contained.
No radiators working due to lack of maintenance. They need bleeding. Water needs to be on longer. Control of heating by resident should be possible.
3.5
bedding was lovely
kitchen, curtains, bed against wall, personal books and bits everywhere, shower was not hot. in addition it uncomfortable hearing movements from room past double doors in dining room.
3.5
Central to the village, pub 100 yards away. Plenty of nearby places to walk the dogs. On site parking.
3.5
location was great, the host kindly provided us with an extra bed for young will.
The local pub was very friendly.
all in all exactly what we were hoping for.

Kitchen size
3.5
it was easy to find and the fact that it had 3 bedrooms
The kitchen was very small, the two toilets were downstairs which was a bit annoying. my bedroom had a lamp but nowhere to plug it in, no bedside table or plug sockets I could find. the curtains didn’t fit and we’re very thin so bedroom was light as soon as the sun came up!
3.5
the annex was self contained and private and had everything that we needed.
a little more thorough cleaning prior to arrival, dust on tv stand and dog chew bone under the edge of the box spring of bed… what else is under there?
3.5
The location was amazing, the host had thought of everything, including, shower gel, washing up liquid, plenty of things to cook with. A small lamp next to the bed and even dog bowls WiFi signal was good. Check in was so easy, I was totally left alone the whole weekend and felt very comfortable and relaxed.
My only issue is turning left out of the property was impossible, not the hosts faults, but being on a narrow lane, people had parked right outside so you have to turn right. A bit annoying when you need to go left.
3.5
The property was in the location required.
Despite the weather being very cold the property had not been heated for our arrival and there was no hot water either.
The kitchen was minute, more like a cupboard, and lacking in some basic essentials e.g no bread knife or tin opener.
Although there were 3 bedrooms, each with a wardrobe, there were only 4 clothes hangers in the property which meant that we left most of our clothes in suitcases.
3.5
I stay here a couple of times a year when available. I stay in the annexe which is a lovely self contained unit with a large living/bedroom, a kitchen and shower room. It's warm and cozy, the bed is very comfortable, and it's nice and quiet at night.
3.5
adequate for our needs
