Lovely property with good size twin room. Excellent hot and cold choices for breakfast.
It would have been good on arrival to be shown all facilities e.g. sauna and private beach, only shown hot tub.
Pillows were very hard which didn’t make for a good night’s sleep and, the way out to the hot tub was via the lounge and conservatory where other guests can be sitting.
For price of our stay would have liked robes and slippers in bedroom without having to ask.
4.8
The degree of comfort in the facilities and attention to detail in the furnishings. The house had an exceptional location with views of islands and sea.
Richard, the host, is very professional and engaging, with a personal touch to suit the interests of his guests.
Nothing.

From being collected by car from the ferry on my arrival till the end of my two night stay here nothing was too much effort. The accommodation was first class and spotlessly clean, yet relaxed, warm and welcoming. Breakfast was superb and I particularly loved the local, fresh, free range eggs! Richard is a first class host who goes above and beyond, putting his heart and soul into ensuring every guest feels very welcome, relaxed, comfortable and at home here. I now know why Ardoran House is rated so highly. Highly recommended !

bedroom spacious, with lots of extra details, like choice of teas, bottled water.

The breakfast was lovely and in abundance! Ardoran House was much more beautiful than I had expected. I loved my room and my view. I actually think the photo on Booking.com does not do the house justice. The house and the host were fantastic and provided an experience I will never forget. Thank you!
I have no complaints. It was a perfect stay.

Host Richard was a perfect host. Kind and welcoming. Amazing breakfast with Bodum coffee.
Room had everything needed including tea, coffee and cookies.
The house had a warm, cozy feeling. Beautiful atrium where Richard would serve a glass of wine and munchies in the afternoon. A gifted storyteller he made us feel so welcome.
Nothing was needed and if there was any required, I’m sure Richard would have made it appear.

Situated near the heart of Iona, the Ardoran House provides a perfect location in which to rest and from which to explore the island. The facilities are beautiful, immaculately maintained, and filled with helpful amenities. The daily breakfast is delicious. And most important of all, the properties owners/hosts are attentive, helpful, and warmly hospitable.
I have nothing negative to say about the property. My stay was delightful.

There were a lot of choices from the list.
Also breakfast was well cooked.

Location is perfect. Iona is a magical isle where you can stroll into town for dinner or take long hikes, sit on a lovely beach and totally relax to the sound of waves.
Nothing. The house and host are wonderful.

Classy and elegant. Host was exceptional, good company and made us feel very much at home in beautiful surroundings. Breakfast was excellent.
It was nothing to do with the property but it was very difficult to get an evening meal on the Island of Iona.

Relaxing friendly welcome, thought of everything including being met at the ferry and complimentary wine at 6pm. Breakfast was great. Richard went out of his way to be helpful and we really enjoyed staying at Ardoran House.

The breakfast was very good with excellent choices and the food was delicious.
There was complimentary wine and nibbles every evening which gave us an opportunity to meet and socialise with other guests.
The room was comfortable with lovely en-suite shower room. Excellent B&B - highly recommended.

Lovely accommodation on Iona. Host Richard was so attentive and saw to everything we might have wanted. We loved his stories and humor. The house was on the water with the hills and grazing sheep in the rear. Loved the hot tub and the daily complementary wine. Our breakfast was in the bright lovely dining room on beautiful vintage china, Could not have asked for a better stay
4.8
Breakfast was excellent, and we were able to relax in the main house as well
Shower was very weak which was disappointing, but the host Richard was very quick to respond and get fixed

Communal rooms were excellent. Very comfortable.
My room was facing the back of the house, overlooking a garden area strewn with piled up broken garden furniture. Not a good outlook. My room carpet was not particularly clean, lending a lingering bad smell. The easy chair in the room was also fairly grubby. Staff were helpful and kind but I felt the manager of the property was perfunctory. Each and every guest should be welcomed and feel looked after. I felt, for him, it was all just boring routine.

Absolutely beautiful place to stay but the host Richard , made it a great comfortable & relaxing experience.

What a fabulous stay!
Just the break we needed. The place was spotlessly clean, peaceful and calm.
Incredible and wholesome breakfasts with local produce cooked perfectly.
Our host Richard was an absolute delight. He made us feel so welcomed, he gave great recommendations, offered us a complimentary glass of wine in the evenings! What a delight.
We loved our stay and felt so well rested afterwards 🙌🎉
It was perfect! Nothing to dislike

Fantastic, room and facilities were 5 star. Michael was so friendly and helpful. Enjoyed our chat over complimentary glass of wine. Luckily he lent us a torch when we went out for dinner. Beautiful clear starry sky was magical. Picked us up from ferry terminal which wasn't far. Will definitely visit again

Richard the host is just delightful. Nothing is too much for him to arrange to make you comfortable. The house is beautiful and the breakfast is fantastic!
Metal sprung mattresses were a bit uncomfortable and noisy.

We loved our stay at Ardoran House. Richard is a wonderful host who made us feel very welcome! Comfortable beds, clean big rooms, evening wine and hot tub, excellent breakfast. Iona is a beautiful island and this is the perfect place to stay while exploring it and Isle of Mull.

Our host Richard was so welcoming and engaging and ensured that we were comfortable and had everything we needed. The room was beautiful, bed so comfy and did wonders for my back and all spotlessly clean. The window view was amazing as we were right at front of house overlooking the sea. Fine attention to detail throughout the home added to the magnificent ambience. We loved the 6 oclock glass of wine and he saved the day by attending to our evening meal as both hotels were fully booked for dinner. We had the most magical evening and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Would highly recommend this accomodation and Richard as a superb host.
There was nothing not to like, it was just fantastic
