With the shores of Moosehead Lake only 20 feet away, you'll have a vacation to Maine's North Woods that you'll remember for a lifetime. This lakefront home enjoys majestic views of Lily Bay and the surrounding woodlands, offering a private dock and mooring, its very own grassy lawn and pebble beach, and a firepit where you can gather to watch the sunset each evening. In this wonderfully serene setting, you'll have a back deck that runs the length of the house, a private washer/dryer to refresh your swimsuits, and an open first-floor living space where you can prepare homemade meals and watch movies at night.

This peaceful, private home is located directly on the eastern shores of Moosehead Lake, allowing you to swim, kayak, and fish all summer, and return each winter to ice-fish and go snowmobiling on the local network of trails. You'll be four miles north of Lily Bay State Park, which is home to a sandy swimming beach, a playground, two boat ramps, and a two-mile walking trail along the shore. Spend your days hiking, looking for passing moose, and teeing off at the famous Mt. Kineo Golf Course only 30 miles northwest.

Fantastic location right on the lake, facing south with a view of the mountains. Close enough but not too close to town. Space for dining, relaxing inside and outside with that great view. Very much appreciate the books, puzzles, games available. One thing rarely seen in rentals, night lights! Great idea. Will definitely plan to return.

We love this home! My children 3, 8, and 11, have the best week of summer here. Though they've never caught a fish they continue to fish off the dock every year. The home is clean and the addition of a/c did not go unnoticed as well as the new furniture covers. The new range last year was nice as well! I do agree with others that the water pressure is lacking and one cannot wash dishes or laundry while another showers. That will not stop us from coming here or leaving a 5 star review. It is a wonderful place to stay and we look forward to coming back every year.

Pros: the house has a private feel with its own dock and backyard bordered by trees. We caught plenty of Smallmouth and other fish (perch? Chub? Fall fish?) off the dock with just lures. We also saw plenty of fish while swimming with masks. The lake was a really nice temperature and we brought our own floats. So hours of floating around in the water was perfect. The fire pit was nice, with a picnic table next to it. A porch on the back of the house overlooked the yard, fire pit and a beautiful view of the water and hills. The house had plenty of fans and all the windows opened with the sounds of wind and lake water and loons made sleeping nice. There was a downstairs bedroom with a huge view of the lake and an upstairs loft area with three single beds and view of the lake. And a double bed bedroom off the loft with a door for privacy. With all the windows open throughout the house it was nice and cool. Cons: the water pressure in the shower was weak. If the washing machine was going you'd get a trickle of water from the kitchen sink. The washer and dryer worked but are very old school and loud, so don't run the dryer if someone is trying to sleep in the downstairs bedroom. The Internet was pretty bad. You could text but phone calls and basic Internet was spotty or non existent. Overall, it was a really great experience. We wanted privacy, waterfront and enough beds and we got just that. The house was clean and tidy upon entry. The sitting area with the television was cozy as well as the dining room table for eating or board games. What would have been a nice feature is a canoe or kayak. If you want a homey cabin feel with the basics then this is your place. If you want a luxury home with fine craftsmanship, multiple bathrooms and ultra comfortable beds, this is not your place. For three teenagers and one mom (me) it was an appropriate rental. The big refrigerator was good too because you need to supply your own cooking and drinking water. There was a good supply of bedding as well, so no need to bring your own.

This is a lovely vacation home. Beautiful views of the lake and mountains. The pebble beach, dock, and fire pit were used daily during our stay. There was plenty of room for my family of four and we had an amazing time.

Beautiful property, wish we stayed longer! The house is beautiful, upstairs is set up a little weird having to walk through one bedroom to get to the other. Water pressure was the worst. It trickled out of the bathroom sink and would not get warm. Shower stayed warm but the shower head was horrible. Other than that it’s a great spot, me and my family enjoyed our time there. Kids loved the rocky beach and dock. Lots of spiderwebs in the windows though. Lost power at one point for about an hour during thunderstorms.

The area and seeing 6 moose. The sounds of nature coming in the windows at night while going to sleep.
