DIRTY, DANGEROUS and BAD SERVICE !

Not only the place was overall very dirty, it was also unsafe. Water coming from the ceiling after neighbour shower, MASSIVE hole in the shower as work was being done. Pubic hair everywhere, sea through shutters, barely any cutlery (and dirty). I asked to leave to a hotel for the last night as it really was unacceptable and they didn't even agree! SHOCKING. FYI I lived in India, so I am not easily shocked but this was not right. Bad place, dirty and a bad service. Do yourself a favour and do not book this place!

Lovely apartment

Nice and spacious apartment with kitchen and nice bathroom. Location was like 15 minutes walk from the city centre and 5 from the beach. Comunication with staff was excellent.

There is a recontruction of the whole outsite part of the building going on and the work was very noisy and messy. The rubbish containers right outside the apartment entrance means that there is also a lot of noise from breaking glass atc. There were just a few pieces of kitchenware. Some more could be used.

Great location, but overpriced and shabby.

A good location close to the sea and Kemptown.

There is a row of large and very smelly waste bins right by the door used at all hours, noisy neighbours, shabby decor and a general air of neglect to the property. The windows can’t be propped open, so it’s boiling hot. The whole place is in dire need of a lick of paint and some new furniture - everything is worn and a bit damaged or soiled. We were hurried out by the cleaners and felt the apartment was significantly overpriced.

Don't stay here. Not secure! They do not respond when you have a problem.

Beds looked comfortable, though we did not sleep in them

This apartment is on the ground floor. We discovered that one of the locks for one of the large sash windows was broken and so the property was accessible from the street. This made it unsecure and, as two women, we did not feel safe staying here, either for our personal safety overnight or with regard to leaving valuables in the flat during the day. We asked for assistance from the property manager using the mobile phone number supplied. They asked for photographic evidence which I sent by text. They said they would contact the property landlord and get back to me. They never did, neither did they reply to my texts or answer further calls. Since I had zero confidence the matter would be resolved, I contacted Booking.com customer services. They were very helpful and spoke to the property manager on the same mobile phone number. The property manager had seen the photos I sent and agreed that the window lock was broken. She stated again that she would be contacting the property landlord. She also agreed with the Booking.com customer service operative that we would get a full refund if the repair could not be made. They both agreed to contact me within an hour. That contact never came and so I cancelled the booking via text message and via Booking.com and requested the full refund. We had to pay premium prices for a room in a hotel for the duration of our stay. We left the property within hours of arriving. I contacted Booking.com again the following day and was advised to wait at least 48 hours for a reply. To date (one week later) neither the property manager nor Booking.com have contacted me and I am still waiting to hear if I will receive a full refund. Other things noted in the two hours we were in the flat: cheap and chipped melamine desk and bedside table. Poorly stocked kitchen. Only a few glasses, no tea towel and the cheapest washing up liquid The window frames were dirty - discovered when investigating the lock situation.

Really enjoyed

Very nice, cosy and tidy flat, very good location for those that would like to enjoy the quiet part of Brighton, comfortable beds and so welcoming

Could be a bit cleaner, especially the kitchen and the windows, could also be a bit more maimtenanced, for example only 2 windows were able to open and the wardrobe door was hanging.

Good location Spacious

Ground floor hence noisy Rubbish bins just in front of the door looked awfully dirty as well as she surroundings Overall feeling about the apartment as well as about its details that it is slipshot. Did not look and also wasn't clean but dirty. Shower door out of order Continuously having hash/cigarette smell Couldn't get into the apartment first night when arrived. Called the landlord no one answered the phone although claimed that they are available 24/7

Wonderful stay, perfect for our girls weekend away, we will be coming back!

The size of the property was amazing, this exceeded our expectations. Comfy beds and lovely separate kitchenette. Gorgeous decor in the bedroom. Easy access to the property and great communication.

The shower room is a little small and could use a little spruce, but perfect for the one night. We only had two mugs between us which was a little disappointing for a morning cup of tea. A fan for the room would be helpful as there is no window that can be opened.

Comfortable and clean

Clean and very spacious for a studio, really high ceilings and really good shower.

It's a heat trap and the windows open at street level to a busy pathway so no privacy if you want to get some sort of air flow..

The location was great!! Bus service (when needed) was easily understood and we used it a few times!!

Even when the shutters were closed there was so much light came in, in the very early hours in the morning!

Best stay I’ve had

Honestly, this property exceeded my expectations massively. The key code was given well before check in time, the room was immaculate and welcoming…not to mention HUGE! The hosts were so responsive and kind!

nearly perfect, just needs a few tweaks

very spacious and is a great size! asked for one double bed & were given 2. very clean. looks amazing.

heating didn’t work so was freezing cold, a guy came out to check it, got it working& then 5 mins later it stopped working again. could hear everything from upstairs, stomping and running around to the point where we thought the chandelier was going to fall down, as it was shaking (walls are very thin) the tops of the windows could do with having curtains or blinds on them as they let so much light in from the street as there is a lamp column right outside.

The location was perfect! 5 minutes from the beach and its very close to all the shops. Its a very quiet area too

horrific. my partner and I left a day early due to the horrible conditions

nothing. absolutely stunk, dirty, hairs on the bed even though guests are charged for a “deep clean”. please read reviews before booking. I made this mistake

firstly the property is located right outside a huge bin for the street, therefore beware of vermin. the property is on the ground floor therefore constant noise and thumps from the above flat. the property has no airtight windows therefore you can hear every single noise from outside. the landlord is a terrible communicator and will try to swindle you for your money. again, please read reviews before booking. if you have experienced good service before you’ll realise this property and landlord are the total opposite. the stench from the bathroom can’t be masked by air freshener, there were hairs on the bed, smears on the radiator, mould in bathroom, cracked paint all over the place, dirty windows, dirty curtains, dust etc please refer to pictures

A disgusting apartment that we had to leave urgently as we were threatened with bailiffs

Nothing - it was dirty and hideous

Everything - it was filthy - we had to purchase new quilts linens and pillows and then the bailiffs arrived on the second day making us feel extremely unsafe.

Good apartment but could be better

Great sized apartment, great location good!

The smell coming from the bathroom is awful and is worse at night!! Even air fresher can't sort it! Shower could do with a good deep clean especially in the corners! Dressing table chair needs replacing before it breaks and someone falls off it.

The flat unfortunately suffers from substantial noise from flat above. Even the morning alarm from above can be heard. Noise from 7.30am until well after 11 pm.

Really nice apartment with great location and great host.

Filthy windows, only could open 1. Bins outside main door, terrible smell. Cooker and hob not working. Person from f 24 constantly standing outside window Smokeing and trying to peep in. Moved out on the Thursday to enjoy our last day in a hotel.
