Rooms were finished to a very high standard. TV in room had all channel plus subscriptions which was an added bonus as my son could watch his favourite programmes while I was getting ready.
Breakfast selection was good. Evening meals were well sized and and drinks were reasonably priced.
4.7
Very comfortable room, well appointed and with great decor.
Staff were extremely friendly and helpful.
The quality of the food/drinks was excellent, very good value for money and service was very efficient.
Some difficulty in parking if you arrived late in the evening due to the popularity of the inn and there are no designated resident parking places.
4.7
The breakfast was great, well tailored to individual needs. the room was comfortable with well catered for facilities.
Nothing.

Very comfortable room and spacious bathroom. Delicious food available in evenings.
Everything fine.
4.7
Clean, good condition, contemporary and
great staff.
Not really a ‘don’t like’, but the food was
adequate, rather than memorable.
4.7
Very nice place, great staff.fantastic breakfast, room was a great size.
It was further out than we thought but it was such a good place it made up for it.

Beautiful decor. Extremely friendly and welcoming Welsh- speaking lady working in the bar, sorry didn’t catch her name. Diolch am y Croeso!
4.7
A very nicely refurbished property with lots of original features. Very friendly staff and the meals we had were very nice, especially the breakfast.

Staff were courteous, welcoming and friendly. Went out of their way to make me a sandwich as they had run out of soup.
Breakfast was tasty.
All areas were clean and tastefully decorated.
Very pricey and not good value for money.Pictures online of our bedroom was not a true representation of the actual size.
Last order for a bar meal was 6.45 as everywhere in the hotel shut down at 8.30ish.
No where for guests to sit and relax during the evening as everywhere was locked up and you had to contact the owner on her mobile if there was a problem. We had to sit in our compact bedroom from 8p.m.onwards.Only one uncomfortable chair in the bedroom. Although we had paid for two nights we decided to drive home on the second evening as we could not sit in the bedroom for a second evening. Did not complain at the time as this is the set up and we would not be returning there. The proprietor was a lovely lady and we did not want to offend her.

location was good, friendly staff. Breakfast was good, and a good selection of evening meals.
room was a bit small with nowhere to put a large case.
4.7
friendly staff. good size rooms with new decors. enough parking space. less than 2 miles to the town for take-aways etc.
rooms were not cleaned inspite of being requested. this could be an oversight but wasn’t done nonetheless.
4.7
beautiful room, small but very nicely done. excellent bathroom. Food was the star here it was very good indeed, much exceeding our expectations, both dinner and breakfast. The lady who served us at both dinner and breakfast was especially nice, forgotten her name unfortunately. The pub has been renovated to an extremely high standard and has a large beer garden as well.
Not a problem for us but anyone with mobility issues would struggle with the stairs to the rooms which are narrow and twisting.

Fabulous Hotel and amazing staff located in the most stunning countryside. Our room was very comfortable and supplied with fluffy towels, plenty of toiletries, tea/coffee. cookies etc. We had dinner 2 nights at the hotel and the food was fresh, well cooked and very tasty. Also, great value. Breakfast was lovely and cooked to order. A family member is gluten free and her food choices were accommodated to suit her. Fabulous big beer garden with plenty of space for kids to run around. Great bar with a huge selection of beers too. Highly recommend for dinner if you are local or for a trip to this stunning part of the world. I think the people of North Wales have kept this jewel a hidden secret! Lovely little quaint town Ruthin is 2 miles away and has charming shops and cafes. We also visited LLangollen which was about 30 mins away from Ruthin. Llangollen is a stunning riverside town with a steam train and canal, lovely shops and restaurants, Very touristy and very busy despite it being Mid October. The Griffin Inn is the perfect base for exploring the area and we will be back

Beautifully decorated bedrooms with a super shower.
Generous portions for our cooked breakfast. Generous in their provision of fresh milk for our room.
Small issue: To have a larger variety of fruit for breakfast.

A bit remote. Overpriced

Well furnished and decorated. Friendly Staff
Unfortunate about the road noise at the front of the Property.

Excellent Breakfast
It was all excellent

The property has been recently renovated in a sympathetic and careful manner. It combines charm and character with new refurbishment in a pleasant and tasteful style. The welcome was warm and friendly, all staff were helpful and polite and the owner went out of her way to meet any requests made.
Some of the ceilings and doorways are low but this is due to the character and style of the property. It is not a problem just a slight inconvenience if you are tall.
4.7
Lovely room, better than expected. Food was excellent and staff were great - we had some issues with our car late one evening and they could not have been more helpful including saving some food for us after the kitchen had closed. Highly recommended.
4.7
Great location, nice breakfast, very clean and pleasingly decorated to a high standard. The staff were accommodating and gave a feeling of nothing being too much of an ask, by far the biggest asset. Would 100% recommend.
If anything I would have to say the bed and that’s just me being very very very picky. The issue with the bed was not it was uncomfortable, but how low the bed was making it difficult to get out of on a morning after being stiff from long walk the day before.
4.7
It was a good base for visiting north Wales and the coastal area. The staff were very friendly and welcoming.
Small room , non functioning shower, and only average food . The bedside lights were functioning but of little use as the low bed had “wings” and so using phone /reading difficult.
