About this cottage rental
LUXURY ACCOMMODATION. Beautiful refurbished ONE Bedroom (ensuite shower) coach house which forms part of the Old Rectory. A second bedroom (en suite bath) is available on request, at an additional cost. The original house dates back to 1700's and wings added in the early and late 1800's.
The Old Rectory is situated on a quiet lane in the picturesque hamlet of Coddington surrounded by countryside.
The Coach House has been designed creating an open plan spacious living area including a new oak framed conservatory, a bespoke kitchen with granite work tops. We have retained some original features in particular a cast iron spiral staircase leading to a romantic double bedroom with a deluxe 5ft bed, ensuite. There is an option to book either one bedroom with an ensuite shower or two bedrooms (second bedroom en suite bath).
Coddington is located in West Herefordshire, lying below the Malvern hills 5.5km north of Ledbury
Ideal for rambling, walking, cycling
Locked garage available for by bicycles.
Morgan Car Motor company only 15 minutes away.

“A beautiful, rural retreat”
Myself, my husband, my mum and our dog enjoyed a wonderful four night stay here at Christmas. Despite seeing the pictures and reviews beforehand, the Coach House still surpassed my expectations - it really is absolutely stunning, in its entirety. It's clear a lot of thought has gone into creating a luxurious space with the highest quality fixtures and fittings. The owners, Chris and Julie were delightful - incredibly welcoming and always on hand but never intrusive. They had gone to the extra effort of decorating the property with some beautiful Christmas decorations inkeeping with the style of the Coach House which created a charming, festive feel. They had put together a gorgeous hamper complete with handmade crackers and treats for the dog and put a bottle of wine from the local vineyard in the fridge in readiness for our arrival! We enjoyed a beautiful walk around Eastnor Deer Park on Christmas Day (a 10 minute drive away) and up Worcestershire Beacon on Boxing Day, also 10 minutes away by car. An idyllic retreat and the perfect place for some rest and relaxation. We shared a very special Christmas together and created memories that we shall never forget. We cannot recommend it highly enough and we shall certainly be returning. Thank you Chris and Julie!

It was a beautiful place to be, exceptionally clean. Jules and Chris are very friendly and welcoming and their dog was sociable all our family are animal lovers so this was a lovely addition.
We hadn't given the spiral staircase much thought before we arrived and as we were traveling for a month we had quite a lot of big luggage. I would say that although my 77 and 80 year old parents did manage the stairs it was a bit of a struggle for them to get to the upstairs bathroom. There are no facilities on the ground floor. Other than this my partner and I have thoroughly enjoyed our stay, explored the area which is stunningly beautiful and a lovely quiet retreat where we could spend quality time with different members of our family. Thank you so much again for having us. Sam and Chris.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this lovely coach house. The serene and cozy ambiance made it the perfect getaway. Chris and Jules were incredibly friendly and welcoming, going above and beyond to ensure we had a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The coach house had everything we needed, making our stay incredibly convenient and stress-free. The surrounding scenery was stunning, with beautiful views that added to the charm of the experience. Their hospitality made us feel right at home. I highly recommend this delightful coach house to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat with exceptional hosts and breathtaking surroundings.

Beautiful remote place - absolutely perfect for a getaway.

Our first trip to the area and it is beautiful. We were blessed with fine weather. The Coach House is very well presented with all mod cons and a comfortable bed. The lounge area is spacious with lovely outlook to the garden. The grounds are lovely with an array of bird life. Great pubs and restaurants nearby. Jules and Chris are very hospitable.

Lovely holiday home with beautiful gardens in idyllic location in a small hamlet. Ideally situated within easy access to the stunning malvern hills and walking distance to the fantastic Coddington vineyard. Jules and Chris are wonderful hosts who are on hand for anything you may need.

What a wonderful stay we had.
We were a family of 2 adults, 2 children and a dog. The location was lovely. We both work in London and so 5 nights in such a remote location opposite a beautiful church was wonderful. Lovely location for dog walks and as a runner I was spoilt for choices as to which routes to take.
The accomodation was perfect. Really clean, great facilities and very cosy.
The hosts (Chris and Jules) were very helpful and friendly.
Will come again, no doubt. Highly recommend.

Thanks Chris.

Beautiful property in a wonderful peaceful location and such lovely hosts. Property was even better than expected and super clean (and I’m very picky!). Great place to stay to explore the Malverns, we’re already looking at when we could d stay again. Thank you Chris and Jules for being such excellent hosts.

Our host Julie made us feel at home as soon as we stepped in. A nice welcome package was waiting for us.
The little dog Buster is good-humored bundle of energy.
THANX!
We did some nice walks around the area and enjoyed every minute of our stay especially with a cozy fire on a rainy day.
Just be aware that you have to climb a steep spiral staircase to get to the bedroom and the open (!) bathroom.

The Coach House was immaculate. It was a wonderful base to cycle from around extremely quiet and picturesque country lanes and villages. We managed two circular cycles from the door. Chris was extremely helpful with advice on all the local amenities.

This was a last minute booking for us and what a gem this one bedroom property was. Perfect addition to the Old Rectory, the one bedroom extension has been architecturally blended to tag onto the original old rectory. The main house and garden are superb, and the owners are very attentive and available to meet and greet on your arrival. Whilst the village does not have a pub or a shop there is a winery close to hand, and Ledbury is 10-15 minutes away, which has all the main amenities. We had a fantastic three night break, which was a well earned rest for two NHS workers, so thank you Jules and Chris. Xxxxx

The Property is simply beautiful, it looks like a lot of thought has gone into the interior.
Very comfy bed, we slept exceptionally well. Beautiful views from the bedroom windows.
The area is rural and very quiet.
The garden is simply breathtaking....it just seems to go on forever. My dog loved it!
The hosts, Chris and Julie are very friendly and knowledgeable of the area, as we bought our dog we were looking for places to take her along.
And I just loved Buster the friendly bundle of fluff....and my dog loved him....
We would love to come and stay again. Our time at the Coach House was far too short!

The Old Coach House had been renovated and decorated to such a high standard. Very thoughtfully supplied with every home comfort. It was in a rural and tranquil setting and surrounded by the host’s superb garden. We couldn’t have wished for more. Thank you Jules and Chris for making us so welcome.

We had a wonderful stay at this charming and unique coach house. Everything was just wonderful, all the MOD cons, wonderful, shower and comfortable beds not to mention cozy fireplace. Great location for day trips and nice and quiet in the evenings. Beautiful grounds to wander around. Fantastic communication with the host. Would highly recommend to anyone and would definitely stay there again. Thank you so much for a wonderful time. Glen.

Location lovely, property lacks privacy massively no blinds curtains at all. They say dog friendly but that totaly depends on the owners dog who roams the grounds 24/7 so basically if there dog doesn’t like yours you are a prisoner in your own home. So a fair assessment is dog to tolerable. Also we were basically sold we would be away from everything but the owners literally live in the house adjoining you. Lovely location but terribly different to what was advertised.

We had a lovely few days in Ledbury. Malvern Hills walk was very nice. Accommodation was very lovely and cozy and log burner was a lovely addition on the rainy day we had

Excellent standard, set in lovely area.
Perfect for a relaxing break in rural Herefordshire. Only a few miles from Ledbury a lovely shopping area.

Given how accommodating and kind the hosts Chris and Jules are, at times, it felt more like we were staying with friends at their guest house rather than renting a holiday home. We had everything we needed during our stay. It is clear that a lot of thought was put into making our stay comfortable. It was a big space for my husband and I, yet it was cozy. The bath is upstairs with a dividing wall to the bedroom, but there is no door. This is fine as it was just me and my husband. However, I thought I'd mention it in case it matters to anyone else.
The location is lovely as well; very quiet but close to Ledbury and the larger cities of Hereford and Worcester. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

This place is a dream to stay in with beautiful surroundings in a very quiet little hamlet with a church opposite.
Inside was furnished with really high quality fittings and immaculately clean.
We will definitely stay again if traveling to this area again.

Very nice and clean place with friendly landlords in beautiful surroundings. The coach house is equipped with everything necessary for a small party. The location seems a bit isolated but is crossed by a couple of nice local walks and there is a number of dicverse scenic, science, and historic attractions within less than an hour of drive: the walks of the Malvern Hills, the "Golden Spike" of Ludlow (exciting for geologists), the charmic towns of Ledbury, Malvern, and Stratford-upon-Avon, pittoresque Cotswolds villages, the Mapa Mundi of Hereford, and much more. We will return! Frank & Barbara, Bremen (Germany)

A lovely, clean, well presented property set in beautiful grounds. We felt very welcome from the moment we arrived to the morning we checked out. A very relaxing stay. Upon our arrival we were greeted by Chris, who then showed us around the beautiful gardens, before showing us into the property and giving us a run down and recommendations of some of the local pubs and restaurants. The little welcome pack was a lovely touch. The accommodation was presented extremely well, with high quality items everywhere. We loved it. Highly recommended. Trev, Tess, Sienna and Rossi (our 12yr old shih-tzu).

Fabulous period property renovated with an eye for detail and a modern decor. Had the most relaxing 4 day break and host Chris and Jules welcoming and easy going. Only drawback tricky spiral staircase so not suitable for those with mobility issues. Wonderful and hope to return soon.

Idyllic
A beautifully equipped and maintained property - lovingly created by Chris and Jules...an abundance of info, luxuries..and coffee inside. Beautiful gardens and a stunning church outside...if that's not enough, Buster the dog will come and entertain you too...hope to go back one day!

If you love the UK, being surrounded by natural beauty in luxurious surroundings, the countryside, walks, good food, and culture. We enjoyed ourselves so much. Spent five lovely days in Herefordshire. Shhhh...don't tell others how wonderful and unspoiled it is. Ate and drank well, visited 12th-century country churches, saw Hereford Cathedral (and the Magna Carta and the Mappa Mundi), visited historic homes, and browsed and bought books in Hay-on-Wye. Julie and Chris were excellent hosts, and Buster (the dog) is a friend to all. There is a wood-burning fireplace, a winery, and a vineyard just a few steps away. One caveat, if you are from the States and this is your first time driving in the UK the roads in Herefordshire are not for the timid. Narrow country lanes (some one lane) and tall hedgerows require a driver with quick reflexes (like my husband) and good driving skills. We will come back.
