For more enjoyment, go for walks, runs, or bike rides on the neighboring streets or explore Mike Chappell Park via the Island Greenway, with a playground, tennis, pickleball, and basketball courts, and the CB Skate park. Enjoy food and shopping on Carolina Beach’s main drag, including the boardwalk, restaurants, the famous Britt’s Donuts, ice cream, boutiques, and grocery stores. This property provides easy access to Dow Road, the local’s secret alternative route to traverse the island.
Snuggle up on sofas and an armchair by the gas fireplace, play after dinner board games, or watch a movie on the 55-inch TV with a sound bar and a Blu-ray player in the open living space. The gourmet kitchen is perfect for those who prefer to skip the restaurant crowds and create fun family memories. Enjoy granite countertops, a farmhouse sink, a walk-in pantry, and a full suite of stainless steel appliances (including a microwave, crockpot, toaster, and waffle iron). Hot beverage connoisseurs will appreciate the French press, coffee grinder, coffee maker, Keurig, and electric hot water kettle. Kid-friendly dishware, utensils, and cookbooks are also provided. Family-friendly extras include beach gear (wagon, umbrella, toys, boogie boards, chairs, canopy, and towels), an indoor play tent, a Pack 'n Play (sheet not provided), indoor and outdoor games including tennis and pickleball equipment, and a water table. I love everything about this house. It was well stocked with everything you didn’t need to bring everything but you clothes and yourself. The house was fully stocked with everything. I will rent this house again and recommend it for anyone who is looking for a home by the beach.

This home is perfectly stocked for a families! They thought of every convenience which made our stay very comfortable. We highly recommend!

This house is equipped with any and everything you could ever need. The kitchen was just like your kitchen at home - we saw a lot of small appliances that made us feel like we were at home. There was a crock pot, Ninja, food processor, lots of kid cutlery/cups/plates.
The reason I did not give 5 stars is because the bed configurations were false - we were short two beds. Luckily we were not traveling with 10 people so we had enough beds for everyone. In my opinion this error should be fixed in your description right away.
I would definitely stay at this location again. It was worth the money we paid.
I sent two messaged but no one responded. I did finally call - my question was about what kind of coffee pot was available.

This house is amazing! Its beautiful, clean and fully equipped with everything and anything you might need! Short walk to beach! We even walked to get ice cream in the evenings. Short drive to restaurants and tourist places. Publix is near by. We cooked everyday. Only downside is we ran out of propane while cooking on the grill. The second tank on hand was empty, too. So, we did run out and buy propane. Other than that hiccup we loved our stay and would stay here again!

House was in the perfect location to easily get back and forth to the beach. Quiet neighborhood and overall the house was perfect for the 4 of us.
The house was fully stocked with everything we could need and more. It was also awesome that it was very kid friendly with dishware, high-chairs, pack and play and soooo many beach and indoor toys.
Would definitely rent again.

We got to the beach early so we could enjoy our day but Thera was a point between 2:00 and 3:30 where the sun was too strong I asked if we could check in early or at least park the car at the house their answer was no they said “Allow housekeeping team to have enough time “ which I understand but we drove by and no one was at the house. I would have been a nice gesture let us check in at least one hour early so we could rest. Again no one was at the house… might be a lack of communication between them and housekeeping

The Beach Haven Getaway house rental is a must for anyone visiting the area in need of serenity and rejuvenation. We travel quite often for our kids soccer commitments and decided to make the best of a weekend match by extending our stay in Wilmington. We hit the jackpot! The site profile photos seamlessly match the property however barely scratches the surface on the real-life amazing experience considering how well intended the owners have provided any and everything someone could think of ranging from supplies, cookware, linens, entertainment and so much more. Our extended staycation was incredible. Thank you for opening this space for others like our family to not only enjoy the local area (including a very short walk to the beach) but to lay our heads down at ease while reconnecting with our loved ones during the hustle and bustle of life. Thank you!

The house was beautiful, clean, and cozy. It made for a very relaxing experience. We loved the modern updates and how close it was to the beach front, the Carolina Beach boardwalk, and the ferry (which took us to Southport). Overall a fantastic place to stay. Highly recommend.

I can’t say enough good things about this rental! We stayed here for a long weekend with another family (4 adults and 4 young children between us). The house setup is perfect for this, since there’s 2 bedrooms upstairs and 2 downstairs. The living space is open to the kitchen with plenty of room for kids to play. The front deck is right off the kitchen eating area. The house is extremely clean and well stocked, including everything you could possibly need in the kitchen. I highly recommend using the Ninja blender to whip up a batch of margaritas to enjoy on the front deck during naptime :)
For people with young kids, you can’t beat this house in terms of the little extras they provide. There’s a high chair, booster seat, pack n play, a ton of fun beach toys and games, a huge beach pop-up tent, a big woven beach blanket (to put under the tent), great beach chairs for adults and kiddos. Everything is in beautiful condition, so you can save a TON of space packing for your trip by not bringing any bulky beach stuff. What a wonderful perk provided by the homeowners.
A couple of tips for future renters: The master bedroom (main floor) has a very spacious / empty walk in closet, an ideal place for a small child in a pack n play to sleep. Also, the stairs are right next to the main living area and are unsafe if you have babies crawling around, so I suggest bringing a baby gate for peace of mind. My basic pressure mounted travel gate worked just fine.

We loved our stay at Beach Haven!! The home is stocked with everything you could think of- you can really tell the owners want anyone who vacations there to feel like they’re at “home.” Some of our favorite items were the boogie boards and overall beach supplies (bocce ball, spike ball, beach towels, nice beach chairs), extra blankets, a fully stocked kitchen, the ability to park our car in the garage, and a gas grill! They have games, books and movies. Everything was very clean upon our arrival! The walk to the beach was as expected and the wagon that was provided made it easier to move all the things down to the beach! The front deck is very nice/relaxing to go out and sit on & we loved the outdoor TV. We go to CB quite often. The location is great because you can take Dow road and avoid all the local beach traffic on the main drag when you have to go out to the grocery store or grab a bite to eat meaning your get more time on the beach! This vacation home was the perfect getaway for our family!

We spent one fantastic week at the Beach Haven Getaway. The amenities were well represented in the pictures. Even had enough beach chairs to take to the beach. We would book it again. Thanks!

Perfect place for family with kids and babies
Only negative was we were charged for late checkout, which was a first time for us.

House is awesome. Most everything you need in the kitchen plus things for the beach. Board games and outside house games were a bonus. The grill cooks the food itself.

We loved everything about this house! It's spacious, relaxing, sparkling clean, comfortable beds, well stocked kitchen, tv's in every room, games for the family, beach chairs/towels/umbrella, a backyard BBQ area complete with patio furniture and table to eat on, and a great front porch to unwind on every evening. We highly recommend this house as it was a true haven for us and the perfect getaway for our family!

This house was gorgeous and clean on the inside. We truly felt like we were home. The beach is about a couple min away from the house.

The house is about 15 min walk to the beach and lots of constructions /noise next to the house.

Wonderful property
The property was perfect for our stay. It was exactly as described and pictured, very clean, had all the amenities you could want, and was just a short walk to the beach.

Weekend getaway
Overall, we had a great stay at this property. It was clean and had beautiful finishes. Most importantly, it looked JUST like the photos. The location is a little far from the beach, and the house it situated very close to neighbors (so little privacy), which is the only thing negative I have to say about the place. Other than that, we loved our stay!

Beautiful Property for family’s stay
We stayed for a week and upon arrival the property was very clean and obviously ready for our arrival. We had a minor issue with the outdoor grill but the property management responded quickly to our text and had someone there quickly to address the problem. It is a bit of a walk to the beach from the house but not overly long. The property had plenty of beach chairs and toys for the kids with a cart to load them into for the walk. Overall a wonderful stay and would recommend to anyone looking at staying in Carolina Beach

Very nice, clean, new, and well-maintained property. Beach is not super close but still walkable. Overall area is nice. Would come back again.

Great home but…
Th cleaning crew is WAY over worked. The property mgt company had them do 11 homes in 6 hours. That math does not work with one crew. Needless to say we could not get into the home till a few hours after check in. The property mgr did credit out dinner which was nice. The hole cleaning was rushed. The master shower drain was soooo backed up after about 5 mins you had 1-2 inches of water. The maintenance crew came out the next day and could not fix it. We went to the store and purchased drano and solved the problem. The corners of the master shower were quite nasty. Not sure when they were cleaned well.
Some of the silver ware and other Utensils were dirty.
The master bed has a huge dip in it. After a week my back was shot.
This is a very nice home that just needs a little more upkeep and the cleaning crew needs to be given less homes.
Too far to walk to the beach but an easy fix by renting a golf cart.

We rented the house for a few adults and a couple kids, we all fit comfortably. The place was very clean, plenty of bath towels and pillows. Beach stuff like towels and chairs was limited but we brought most of these items. The beach is an easy walk. Easy access to a bike and walking/running trail. Great location to Wilmington and Kure, grocery stores. Some items for the kitchen like paper towels and more dish towels was lacking. It was our first time dealing with this type of property manager, communication was good and timely. The ability to not have an early check in or late check out would have been ideal but that was rejected pretty quickly. The backyard isn’t much, we mostly hung out on the front porch. The huge negative and warning i would give is the neighbor right next door watching everything and being very rude. My family who lives in town stopped by for 5 mins with dogs who were outside of the house and the neighbor took pics and turnkey was calling me within 5 mins. I get it no dogs but that’s a little much. The neighbor yelled at us and the rest of the time it felt like she was watching our every move and taking pics if there was the slightest thing. Other than that we did enjoy our stay.

Where to begin...while the house itself was pretty great, the property management is very poor. If the word “vacation” is part of the company name, then the A/C should work upon check-in. It was 85 degrees in the house upon arrival, and we had to call an HVAC service company to come fix the issue. It then took 12 hours to finally get the house down to a comfortable temperature. Aka, all night. Also I would picture a “vacation” house being fully equipped with extra (nicer) towels, soaps, toilet paper, and kitchen basics like olive oil and pepper. The beds were not comfortable, and the pillows were flat. The TV did not work at all - no cable and no Netflix. Just a waste of space. The internet was a crappy unsecured connection that kept kicking us offline. The garage was locked, so this made going in and out very difficult with all the beach gear. The two(!) beach chairs were also tiny and crappy. If you advertise it, give details on what is being provided. The coffee maker was tiny and only enough for two people. The house sleeps 8!!We got no options for early check-in or a later check-out, despite the house obviously being unclaimed for several days before and after our stay. 10am checkout is way too early. Also we got fleas...either from the beach or the house. I’m guessing the house!!Sorry for the negative review, but this was the worst vacation beach house experience we have ever had.

The place is beautiful and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Great location!
All was great. A few pieces of feedback for consideration to improve for future guests.
The patio furniture is very old. We had to put a towel down as there were no cushions and it was frayed. We used our own outdoor chairs and it should be replaced.
The master bedroom tv had lines on the top portion of the screen. You can watch tv on it but the picture is messed up.
The grill is also in bad shape so we could not use that.
The can opener should be replaced as it’s not functional.
In light of COVID I’d add that it would be a plus to have more dishcloths/towels and cleaning materials. The soap was empty and watered down in the upstairs bathroom. We used our own materials to supplement.
All this is is minor but would make the stay even better if taken care of.
Thanks!

Pros: The overall cleanliness of the rental was superb—we were very impressed upon arrival. It is beautifully decorated with a classy beach motif and spacious with a lot of wonderful natural light. The location to the beach provided options for driving or walking down to it. The ease and access to local grocery stores is also a plus. The rental house sleeps 8 adults comfortably. The front patio was a nice place to sit and relax in the evenings. Cons: As previous reviewers have mentioned, the cookware is very limited. Had we not read the reviews and decided to bring our own cookware from home, we would not have been able to make our dinners. One particular area of issue is the house sleeps 8 people; however, the kitchen table and living room area only seats 6 adults. Dinners were particularly tricky as we wanted to eat together as a group, and people had to sit at the kitchen bar due to the lack of space at the table. The beds are not particularly comfortable and two people in our party had to sleep on the floor due to this issue.

Beautiful house
The house is beautiful, decorated beautifully. It could use some more items for the kitchen like tuberware dishes and a colander. There were also no dish towels. And more towels for the bathrooms, one per bed plus a couple extra would be nice.

Overall, very good property
We enjoyed our stay. The house is plenty big for our family of 8. We like the beach at Fort Fisher better than the beaches at Carolina Beach, so the distance was not an issue for us. At night, we drove to beach near house and there’s plenty of parking at that time. We usually cook dinner each night and the kitchen is very nice. Perfect for cooking in. We did have to buy some kitchen towels and had to ask Turnkey to deliver some wash clothes which they did. The grill could use some TLC. We would stay here again if we returned to Carolina Beach. Despite receiving a $20 Starbucks gift card to write this review, the closest one is in Wilmington I think 😀

Great House
House was great and beautifully decorated. Location didn’t have any sidewalks and close to a main roads so walking to the beach didn’t feel safe with young kids, so we opted to drive. Beach was clean and short drive.

Nice house with great floor plan for extended family or group vacations. Reasonable walk to nice beach area. Nicely decorated. General cleanliness and maintenance upkeep of the home when we arrived was disappointing. I'll admit I am probably pickier than most, but the floors, counters, appliances & shower were not completely cleaned. The MB shower did not drain sufficiently (resulted in having to stand in a pool of water while showering. Keurig coffee maker extremely noisy and woke up whole house when in use early in the AM. No access to Master bedroom closet which was not described. If cleanliness/maintenance issues were appropriately addressed, I would highly recommend this home.

Our family vacation over Memorial Day weekend.
Our family of 4 stayed here for a week and overall thought it was very nice. Lots of space in this home (could easily sleep 7) and very pretty updates and decor. It’s 4 blocks from the beach which is super convenient, but we did wish we had stayed further North close to Wilmington where there are more food & activity options.
Home is clearly only used as a VRBO- kitchen was pretty bare (we cooked most nights) but we made it work. Dishwasher definitely needs replacement and the master shower drained slow, but home was clean and tidy when we arrived. Backyard grill was a nice touch and we really enjoyed the front deck furniture and outdoor fireplace.
Turnkey rentals was super helpful with instructions laid out for anything we needed 24/7 call service. Overall we had a really nice stay.
