We received a warm
Welcome. Check in was quick. No parking available so we parked on the street and reception organised a parking permit, just £6 for the night. Our room was small but adequate. Looks like it has recently been refurbished. We had 2 dogs with us, they were given a bed each, they were a bit grubby and no padding, neither dog used them! We had an evening meal
In the restaurant. Food well presented. Service very good. Good breakfast. Buffet style, excellent croissants

Absolutely spectacular period hotel and suite! Ocean and garden views. Amazing spa bathroom, mini kitchen (and pod coffee maker)! Beautiful salon lounge. Lovely staff. We're on our honeymoon from Australia and could not had wished for a more charming and elegant place to stay. I wished we could have stayed longer!
4.2
The staff were very friendly and superb at their job The hotel was really lovely and not far from the beach overall we were very impressed with it
4.2
Comfortable and clean, the laundry delivery around 6.00 in the morning makes a terrible noise and woke up us every day, but apart from that very good hotel
4.2
Lovely staff and great view and location. Room was just too hot.
4.2
Although the staff was nice, the facilities were not good. Our room had condensation in the windows, the bathroom has mould in the window and the bed was very uncomfortable. Also the restaurant was not good, took 30 min for veggie sandwich, long time to take order too, and the food was not tasty.

The lovely walks
4.2
Very comfortable. Convenient walk to the water. Great bartenders!
4.2
For such a beautiful old Victorian building, I felt the room lacked character.
Very clean & tidy & staff gave us a room with a partial sea view.
Parking was off site on The Leas, just a short walk from the hotel.
A charming area to stay, with love walks & swims if you wish

It was clean tidy. Welcome was so-so. Had to park on the street, it was free, but a little away from the Hotel. I was a bit noisy as we were next to the lift. Fortunately the hotel was not very busy. It could have a lot worse if there had been any noisy or rowdy guests.

Excellent

A well-renovated Victorian seaside hotel.
Friendly and professional receptionist meant a smooth and rapid check-in.
Room 102 very clean and renovated to a good standard. Nice toiletries and plenty of clear spaces for my things.
Only thing that slightly marred the experience was very unpredictable internet that disappeared fairly frequently.
Didn't use the bar or restaurant as attending a birthday event nearby

Lovely stay, would highly recommend.

Hotel and food were fine. Lovely room, good view but awful service when something went untoward . The ability to solve the issue, take responsibility and follow up on promises made was sadly lacking (anything but 4*)
4.2
Lovely cosy room with a sea view. Decor was very stylish.
My two complaints only concern with quality of sleep and the food, both of which seem quite basic requirements.
The mattress on the bed sagged in the middle and rolled me to the edge, it was really quite weird and I didn't sleep that well as a result. It needs replacing.
Breakfast really wasn't good enough for a hotel of this many stars. Coffee was served in a teapot!? There was a menu available for personal preferences and I ordered French Toast. It arrived dry and tasteless. Fruit and yoghurt with granola were also not very good quality.
Staff were lovely and the hotel is in an excellent location and I had no other complaints. But they have to do something about the mattresses, it really was poor.
4.2
Well appointed room, very helpful staff. Parking on road.

We ate in the restaurant on our first evening. The food was OK, but nothing special. One of our party ordered a local beer... which was served- clearly displaying its 'use by' date of February 2024. We sent it back, only to be told that ALL of their stock of that beer was out of date.
Our room was badly lit, and so small there was barely room to move around the double bed. Not enough room for an adult to sit comfortably at the dressing table, and we were tripping over each other trying to get ready.
The shower heat control didn't seem to work, it was too hot - but if you adjusted it just a millimetre it went freezing cold.
We were there for two nights for a wedding, so didn't have time to ask to change rooms.
Overall, it was adequate - though I have had much more comfortable stays in Premier inns.
Disappointing.
4.2
Staff very friendly and helpful. Lovely room although very hot and no air con. Water is exceptionally hot and it took a long time running for any cold to come through. Even the toilet water was flushing hot water.
4.2
Hotel was fairly average but convenient overnight stay before the shuttle
4.2
The position of the hotel was really wonderful - so close to the seafront and walks. The Hotel was comfortable, and staff very friendly. The Bay restaurant was excellent - a good choice and very well cooked and presented. Extremely helpful and friendly waitress. We will definitely return and book a bigger room.
4.2
Beautifully restored hotel in a very quiet neighborhood. Enjoyed it so much we stayed a second day
4.2
Really nice stay. Great location and good service. Bed was very firm, which may be ok for some but not comfortable for us. Shower really good and ample storage space.
4.2
Lovely stay, generious sized rooms , very clean, and lovely attentive staff
4.2
Lovely old Victorian hotel, nice and warm, nice room. Would definitely stay again.
4.2
Pleasant stay, one of the nicer hotels in Folkestone. Rooms seemed to be (recently?) renovated, bathroom's spacious, bedroom was a little on the smaller size and the bed itself felt like a small double. One of the cons of our stay was how unbearably hot it was in our bedroom. The thermostat on the radiator wouldn't turn off and there was no way to switch if off in the bathroom. We had to sleep the whole night with the windows and curtains wide open.
4.2
No fringe in the room, need to ask staff to freeze anything; wifi signal is full but nobl internet access; no TV programme, no air conditioning, too many stairs, not that good if you are on wheels
4.2
Love the room
and the breakfast!

Great little spot. Would use again

The Burlington is generally a nice hotel. The room we had was tiny, which encouraged us to spend as little time in it as we could and go into town.
We found an excellent bistro about 15 minutes walk from the hotel called the Sunshine Bistro and I highly recommend eating there.
Parking on-site is limited and costs £5.00 per day. If you park outside the hotel, it costs. If you park along the road to the left of the hotel, then it is free of charge.
The staff were very friendly and accommodating.
For the cost of the breakfast, it was.. Fine... No complaints.

Great stay will definitely stay again.

This is an exceptional hotel.
I treated myself to a 5 night stay in the Master Junior Suite and it exceeded my expectations.
The room was spotless and the decor is beautiful. In addition to this the view of the gardens is stunning.
From start to finish my stay was amazing, the staff at The Burlington were welcoming and helpful.
As a solo traveller, I felt completely safe.
Thank you so much for a wonderful stay.

We only spent one night here but it was lovely apart from the shower let it down. It looked beautiful until your turned it on and then abig disappointment it was clearly broken 🙄.
4.2
Great team working in a lovely old building. We brought our dog on this trip, she has a great time too
4.2
Easy booking in and booking out and a very comfortable stay ,exceptionally clean ,sea view for a very competitive price for the time of year.
Did note the bathroom extract fan was not operating which is a requirement as no opening window, but i noted the switch was isolated and required to be turned on which rectified it.

Waiter service and menu for breakfast was excellent but in the last morning the buffet breakfast and service could have been better
4.2
Great time, great hotel and great staff
4.2
lovely hotel and staff Excellent room and evening meal Just us eating waitress and staff very friendly and good quality food.
Breakfast was disappointing portion size for a full english would of complained if was full price and small mistake as our booked table was given away to a walk in non booking excuseable as staff were training but were put in the main dining room away from main eating area.
Overall a lovely stay and would definitely book again at right price
