Very dated and couldn’t get a drink after midnight

Bed was so comfy we slept like babies.
Food was excellent, I’d highly recommend the hotel.

Lovely people and place.

Initially was given a room In a separate building right by a main road. After a 6 hour drive I decided this wouldn’t do and rang the hotel to ask for a room in the main building. Paid £50 more and was sent to a room. The door was already open, with lots of furniture in the bathroom blocking access and nothing on the bed. Went to reception and was given another room she was sure was ready on the 5th floor, the lift did not work. When we got there there was rubbish all over the room, wet towels all over the floor and the beds unmade. Clearly someone had checked out and it had not been cleaned. I rang reception again and was given a room on the first floor. It was a better room to which I was grateful. Sadly all the rooms are linked to the one next door with no soundproofing. A couple kept us awake until past 3am playing music and shouting. Breakfast was delicious though the atmosphere was spoiled by three men making racist comments all throughout reacting the news on tv about the riots. We enjoyed the bistro dinner in the evening though I’d ordered a beer prior and wasn’t given the wine flight tasting as part of the special offer for getting a three course meal. No one explained. However the waiters were extremely welcoming and professional despite this niggle. I spent a lot of money at the hotel for a one night stay with my daughter, after a 6 hour drive from London and had to do the same journey back the next morning. I had 4 hours sleep and felt a bit messed around.

Lovely hotel

Lovely staff and food was excellent. We had a great sized room for the 3 of us but it was so hot in the room it made sleeping a bit difficult.

staying in the sleep well annex, 100 yards away from the main hotel/restaurant, plenty of space in the room. pool was good and the hot tub was nice n warm. great staff really friendly and helpful. Will stay again maybe in the main hotel building would be more convenient.

The room was ok, bed comfortable, but pillows very soft no firmer pillow option, cobwebs arourd the window. Bistro food great with good service. Very disappointed at a £10 charge to use the pool and gym, this should be stated ion the website. Overall a good stay.

Very nice meal in Bistro in the evening

The hotel is outdated, on the main street, very noisy at night. It was very warm inside, could not open the window because of outside noise level. The shower mixer was not working, only hot water came so we could not take showers just using the bath which was inconvenient. It was reported but nothing happened. The food was good.

Car park too small

Upon arrival there were a couple of issues. The efficient and friendly staff resolved any problems and ensured they would be addressed. The food was fabulous . Could not fault the service.

The staff were Excellent and the food was excellent. The swimming pool could have been warmer, and the sauna was broken. But everything was great.

They didn’t have enough room inside main hotel send us to the different building like hostel , really noisy and zero clean point , and expensive.never again .they advertised different room and hotel .

Central location in the town centre. There is a pool and hot tub, sauna was out of order, and it's a small area. Changing facilities are small but clean. There are a couple of reasonably priced dining options in the hotel, but you're in the middle of town so easy access to other restaurants.
The room was a decent size, but outdated decor, clean and tidy.
It was a bit noisy Friday night, but in the middle of town so to be expected.
Staff are really friendly and helpful.
Overall, we had a good experience and stay there, Central location was useful, and the pool was a nice touch.

Definitely not a 4 star hotel.first were put in barn conversion, then on a floor with no heating and hot water, with a 2 year old baby
1.5
Disappointing. No WiFi, dated bathroom, tiny TV which wasn’t fitted straight on the wal and had no option to control the heating in the room.
4.0
Tidy hotel in a central location, breakfast cooked to order!

The ‘annex’ rooms are across a busy rowing 2 crossings. The parking was absolutely shocking. To be fair the restaurant evening service and food were excellent but too much hassle backwards and forwards for me. Won’t be returning.

The spa part of the hotel was closed to hotel guests till 8.30 at night and only open for 1 hour as the local children where having swimming lessons it would be nice if you could know this when booking

Great location, efficient check in.
Room clean but dated.
The walls are so thin you can hear everything from the rooms at the side of you and the TV from the rooms below.
The bar area is cosy but a bit pricey but that is to be expected in a central hotel.
I didn’t have the breakfast which was included in the price but the people that I spoke to said it was great and if you chose not to have it you can have a packed lunch to take with you.
The central location is perfect for the shops, bars and restaurants.
Overall a good hotel and with a little bit of work I would return.
After requesting a quiet location I hope room 34 was an error on their part and not an actual “ Quiet location”

I’m sure staying in the main hotel would be a lot more comfortable. But being unaware of staying in the “annex”, basically a disused building which has been converted into rooms a while ago showing signs of being dated. If I was made fully aware of this I wouldn’t have booked or made sure I was staying within the main hotel. Im sure the rooms there would have been much more comfortable as the restaurant was great and very in keeping with the building.

The staff and cleanliness were very good. The communal areas were very pleasant and comfortable. The bedroom however needed upgrading. A good overall stay however.

The parking facility online was misleading, we had expensive bikes and equipment in the vehicle and was not happy when we were told that we had to park in a multi-storey up the road. Online states “FREE PARKING AVAILABLE “ “SELF PARKING AVAILABLE” and lastly “LIMITED PARKING”
We had a room allocated in a separate building to the main hotel which was not monitored, the fire doors (not meant for use and to be kept closed) we’re always open or ajar, and the noise during the night from other guests was very disturbing.
We paid for breakfast for the two mornings we were there, the second day we had limited choice for breakfast even though there was an hour of breakfast left.

Would only stay as a work stop over, rooms were basic in the Annex. I had to pay for pool facilities which was why I booked the venue because I thought it was included. Car park for about 10 cars at the front of the hotel I got the last space. Breakfast was good which again was not included.

Great Experience nice view...great location very comfortable

Excellent stay, only minor issue was that the shower was not very warm.

The staff in the hotel were extremely friendly & very helpful - must say the Manager Adrian & House Keeping Manager Emma went out of their way to accommodate extra needs we required.
The parking was very limited; therefore requires attention in view of more spaces or alternative arrangements elsewhere.

Gorgeous hotel, staff friendly and very helpful, bed amazingly comfy, would recommend

Regularly stay here and have no issues. Central for Workington, value for money, excellent food and great service from everybody

I loved the Hotel we just wanted a swim and didn’t have a slot to fit us in, but food and staff was lovely just that that disappointed us both.

Not happy with the rooms

Wonderful hotel - can't really fault this place (not there fault covid restrictions denied my access to the pool). Lovely little touches I wasn't expecting, great service and friendly staff. Car park is tight but they have an over flow over the road if you prefer. Breakfast was among the best I've eaten! I'd be happy to stay here any time I'm in town

Location is very noisy and parking is very very limited. Rooms were very hot with no aircon.
The only reason I booked this hotel was to use the pool and gym and that was fully booked out by others for our entire day.
In summary book a Travelodge as none of the bells and whistles are available, it’s too hot and too noisy.

Nice hotel my room was a bit small
Little bit dated
Great breakfast in the morning
And the staff were great
I would stay again

The staff was great. The property is clean but dated. The room was a little small. There were only a handful of parking spots on site. I had to park a couple of blocks from the hotel and walk back.
