We really enjoyed our stay. The room was large and comfortable. The breakfast far exceeded our expectations. The retro decor was very cute and gives the hotel a great vibe. Having the shuttle into downtown right in front of the hotel is super convenient. Only downside is that all the hotels in Bar Harbor are so expensive but this is one of the best values.

Fantastic stay. I do not give 5 stars often but this little motel deserves it. They do all the little things right. From the employees wiping down the outside chairs and benches to free popcorn and smores. They also have binoculars, chairs, walking sticks and ice coolers that they loan out to customers. I would definitely stay at this motel again

We spent 4 days. Our room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast counter had plenty of choices. We walked and used the bus to get and from downtown. Staff was friendly. We appreciated having an on-site laundry! Highly recommend!

The property is expansive. The rooms have a cute retro decor. They offer a continental breakfast and s'mores in the evening. As a vegan I didn’t partake in either, but they were popular. The motel is a short drive to restaurants and shops as well as Acadia's Cadillac Mountain.

We were blown away by the amenities offered at Bar Harbor Motel. They have activities every day, a pool, easy parking, and continental breakfast in the morning. The breakfast is where they really impressed. My wife has a gluten sensitivity, and they had gluten-free options! This is such a rare occurrence, and she was thrilled to be able to have a gluten-free blueberry muffin. We only stayed one night, but will definitely be back the next time we are in Bar Harbor.
PS: We were delighted to enter our room and be greeted by a towel folded into the shape of a lobster!

The Motel had so many activities and the design of the room was perfect for a family. We loved the retro look and my kids albeit grown up really had fun with the hooks hoops, adult swings and the volleyball net. Great place, clean and convenient. Breakfast was ok, omelets were lacking but aside from that, I’d go back over and over again!!!

Loved our stay at Bar Harbor Hotel! The only thing we didn’t like was the air conditioner didn’t not work properly. I would suggest adding a ductless splits and removing the old window ac units.

The family suite was perfect for us. The only suggestion, add a mirror. The only one is in the bathroom, an extra mirror would allow two people to get ready at the same time.
