Arrived and were offered a table for dinner even though we had t booked and they had a group of 20 in for Christmas Fayre. Food was ver good and freshly cooked. Ideally located for travelling into the city.

Stayed the night before an early flight from Edinburgh, so handy as it was so near the airport. The single room was basic, but fine. The pub restaurant however was fantastic - great atmosphere, good choice of beers and wine, amazing food, and friendly service. They don't do breakfast, which wasn't a problem for me, but may be for some. Would definitely stay again.

A cheaper option.
You get what you pay for.
Room was clean but very tired and in need of updating.
Bed was hard.
Food was excellent

Great place to stay for the price, with fantastic transport links into Edinburgh City Centre and their own parking, would definitely stay there again if I had an event in Edinburgh. Sadly I didn't get to try their food as I was not around for mealtimes but the menu looked lovely and also very fairly priced. The 11am checkout time is great and they were really friendly about me being a little early for check-in after a long journey

Great place to stay if you have interest in Heriott Whatt. Best price for valué in Edinburgh

Stayed for the Tattoo - very reasonably priced when other hotels charge through the nose!! Pub/Restaurant excellent - lovely food - had evening meal and 2 breakfasts - all excellent so well done to the chef!! Rooms basic and in need of a wee makeover (esp bathroom in room 5) - otherwise, cant fault it at all. Also on main bus route - very good bus service - got into the city centre in 20 minutes. Would definately stay again - thanks to all

Good option, quick train ride to the city centre. Nice place to stay, relatively quiet in the evenings. Helpful staff and good breakfast in the morning worth the cost. Very worthwhile for the money paid

We have stayed here a few times as it's a lovely quaint little hotel and very handy for Edinburgh Airport.
Food and ambience are great.
We've got a couple more stays already booked.

The room was very small & not very clean a bit dusty & electrical things didn't work.
4.0
The pub part was excellent. We didn't try food as late back each evening.
Our room was warm and beds comfy.
The room itself could benefit with some modernising of furniture. And unfortunately a fair bit of dust on the headboards and lamp.
The bathroom needs a complete refresh. Cracked and loose floor tiles. Back of the door and skirting in dirty condition.
That said for Edinburgh area it was a great price

We had a pleasant stay the staff were fantastic and location good for fhe airport and access ti the city by public transport. The accommodation is dated and needs some renovation shower constantly on super hot. Restaurant was good evening meal was fantastic but breakfast very greasy and not value for money. We would stay again if in Edinburgh again but avoid room 5 as nextvto beer garden and car park so noisy at most times. The evening barcteam were friendly and helpful and would recommend the chicken haggus and bacin pie and hazy local ipa beers.

This was a low budget one night stay. I didn’t expect luxury. I was however positively surprised about how accommodating the staff were. Very friendly, professional and flexible. The room ticked all the boxes. It was clean and has coffee for the morning.
You would pay more for some of the youth hostels in the toon. As a Middle Aged woman I was delighted with Riccarton inn x

Very clean, a tad dated, the staff were friendly and the breakfast was plenty, hot and very yummy

Surprisingly quiet even with the trivia night going on in the pub. Great fish and chips. Good spot to stay just out of Edinburgh.

Bus is right out front to get to and from Edinburgh. Staff was nice, rooms clean and comfy. Best shortbread I had in my life!

This is a very basic place to lay your head for the night. I loved how accessible this was, close to public transport to get into Edinburgh. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. I loved the nature walk around the area (very close to a river) the accommodation was surprisingly quiet being at a pub.. I booked the breakfast and it was incredible! Highly recommended

Great find for a couple of nights. Room was really clean with ample space for two of us. Bathroom really clean & towles were fantastic, Staff were fine - younger staff in bar/restauarant were much friendlier than those at check in & breakfast. Food- both dinner & breakfast was excellent. Plenty of choice at both meals. Fish & chips were exceptional !!! All in all agreat stay at a good price.

An excellent and convenient stay.

One night quick stay, welcome was great, friendly staff through check in and check out. Room itself was a bit dated but functional and good amenities (wardrobe, drawers, etc.)
Bathroom only counts with a single soap and no shower gel or shampoo, something to keep in mind.
Room was clean however the duvet cover had a small blood stain on one edge… not a great sight when I arrive late in and can’t ask for a change of sheets.
All in all was a good place to stay the night for the price, I feel a bit extra attention to detail would go a long way.
Rooms are adjacent and not soundproof at all so keep that in mine if you’re a light sleeper like me. However the area itself is very quiet after the pub closes so it’s up to the other guests :)

Budget accommodation in a country style pub. Friendly staff and great parking.

Exceptional service in a location that was convenient to visiting Edinburgh. They exceeded our expectations.

The hotel was lovely, the staff was lovely, and we were very comfortable. The building is old and it shows. I personally found it charming, but if your preference is sterile hotels without personality, this isn’t the place for you.

Very pleased with our overnight stay at the Riccarton Inn. Our room was clean and had everything we needed for an overnight stay. The bath towels were the fluffiest we’ve ever had in a hotel. Didn’t eat in the hotel so can’t comment on the food but judging by the number of people eating there, it must have been good. Plenty of parking and only 12 minutes drive to the airport. We would definitely stay here again

Right off bus stop. 2£ each way. If you want to enjoy the experience of mass transit while saving some bucks on a nice hotel room this is the place. Could use some fresh paint, but you can't beat the value. Ate breakfast one morning. Talk about good food and EXCELLENT service!!!
Had roast on Sunday more than enough to feed two as my wife didn't care for the soup.
Very nice staff.
Expecting 5 star hotel? Pay 5 star rates.
Bed was extremely comfortable.

Very friendly and welcoming. We arrived late, but still time for a pint in the pub. Room was cool and shower water was slow to heat, but our stay was good overall. Too chilly to enjoy the beautiful back patio area.

The staff are amazing. We were able to get the bus into town right outside the Inn. The beds were definitely older but the charm of the Inn outshined that.

Almost perfect stay! Friendly easy check in, good dinner, even better breakfast including espresso coffee drinks, free parking, nice hot shower, comfy bed. Only thing that would make it perfect would be a larger sized bed. Would stay again!

Plenty of parking, on a bus route in to Edinburgh. Very reasonable for the facilities we had. A basic room but everything we needed for an overnight stay after watching a sports event. Staff were lovely, good atmosphere in the pub. We would stay again

Our stay here was comfortable. The room was clean, if dated some. Free parking was a plus and the dining was very good. Although attached to a pub, it was not noisy at all. Our only complaint with out stay here was that the bed was way too soft. Overall a very good experience.

Good for the price.. bathroom a little worse for wear in bedroom 5. Clean enough and flexible come and go. 30 minute bus to centre outside
