Nice venue. Staff were friendly and food was great

The room and hotel very clean. Good breakfast.
Small room, low ceilings and doors.
Exceptionally long wait for an evening meal which was nothing special and overpriced.

Road was far too noisy in our room from 5am

Thai curry was absolutely gorgeous, very fresh and delicious. Room was clean and the breakfast was also fab. I think it was the landlord that served us at breakfast and he was very polite and helpful.
The lady that checked us in and served behind the bar in the evening was rude and didn't make us feel very welcome and for that reason we wouldn't stay there again, we weren't the only ones that were shocked by her attitude, other couples were also less than impressed by her lack of professionalism.

Location superb. 2 mins walk into the town. Room had everything you needed for a short stay. Had breakfast on the last day which I couldn't fault. The owner was a lovely gentleman. Would stay here again.

Location was perfect, it was very clean and warm, staff were friendly. I would definitely stay there again!
Dinner took some time to come out but owners wife was alone in the kitchen. It was all delicious though

Fantastic pub, food, building, high quality finish and staff.
Let down by uncomfortable mattresses, we had two beds yet neither were comfortable, ended up sleeping on our own inflatable mattresses on the floor.

Food was great!

The proprietors were very affable and hospitable. Our room was lovely - clean, comfortable, fresh and homely. We didn't have dinner at the hotel. It was fully booked. I'm sure the food would have been good - particularly the Thai menu. We had a drink in the bar and we enjoyed that. The log burner was on and the company was very convivial. Breakfast was excellent. The location is very good - a very short walk to get into Builth Wells, over a beautiful bridge spanning the river Wye.

Great hotel, comfortable rooms and an excellent breakfast. Would recommend to anyone looking to stay in the area.
Bar made a handy place to set up the fishing equipment in the morning.

Location was very good, short walk to the town. Breakfast was of a high quality and good. Room clean and well presented.
Our room on the top floor was in the eaves of the hotel, and had several low diagonal beams. I am over 6 feet tall, and had neck ache at the end of the stay. The hotel was very quiet mid week, and the Restaraunt was empty, but it still took over an hour to prepare a Thai Noodle dish for the two of us. Had to chase up, but no explanation given. Generous and varied menu in the Restaraunt. Unfortunately not many of the items were available to order when we asked. We got lucky on the fouth choice..

Lovely breakfast, friendly staff, beautiful views from the rooms.
Main road a little noisy at times.
4.3
Good clean room, towels, toiletries, etc. Friendly staff/owners, who were happy to provide secure storage for our bicycles.
Located north of the river, it’s not technically within the town although only a short walk (literally a couple of minutes). It also fronts onto a main A-road, so there is some road noise.
