Everything was what you needed, great location for our stay before handing off to France.
4.5
Bright, airy, very clean and spacious - excellent value for money. Would definitely stay here again. Particularly liked how easy it was to join Wi-Fi, the kitchen was small but perfectly formed and had everything we needed. The host also accommodated our requests which was greatly appreciated, convenient parking too.
Minor minor downside was it was up quite a few flights of stairs but it did have a lift! I was just nervous to use the lift, so not really a downside at all!

I recently booked a stay at 1 or 2 bed in Folkestones West End in Folkestone through Booking.com, and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. Despite looking forward to a relaxing stopover during a long journey with my family, including a 10-month-old baby, our stay turned out to be marred by inconveniences and disappointment. Firstly, the property's check-in policy proved to be extremely rigid, even though they advertised self-check-in facilities. We were delayed due to unforeseen circumstances and heavy traffic, and despite our attempts to communicate, the owner refused to wait for our arrival or offer any flexibility. This led to us being stranded without accommodation for the night, causing undue stress and anxiety, especially considering we had an infant with us. Booking.com customer service was responsive and acknowledged the issue. However, their efforts to reach out to the property and resolve the matter were ultimately unsuccessful. While I appreciate their attempts, I believe there is room for improvement in advocating for customers when faced with such situations. I expected more from an accommodation listed on Booking.com, especially given my loyalty to the platform and its reputation for delivering satisfactory experiences. Unfortunately, this particular experience has left me disappointed and hesitant to trust similar listings in the future. Despite the inconvenience caused and the property's lack of flexibility, I have not received any refund as per the property's policy, nor have I been offered any compensation, voucher, or alternative resolution from Booking.com. This has only added to the frustration and disappointment of the overall experience. In conclusion, I would caution future travelers to consider the inflexible check-in policy and lack of support in case of unexpected delays when booking at 1 or 2 bed in Folkestones West End.

Very quiet; could not hear the seagulls. Excellent location 10 minute walk into town. Clean and pleasantly warm. It was nice that coffee etc. was on hand. Also car parking.
Ceiling in bedroom a bit low, the room itself was fine, if small.

Nice soft towels and a hair dryer
Top floor and the fish tank

Customer service - the owner called me a liar when I gave him a feedback about his toilet flusher for not being able to flush properly and he blamed on us for breaking it. Unbelievable!
House rules - the owner only let us know about his house rules just a couple of hours before checking in which was too late to cancel the booking (for ex. Empty the bin and bring them down from the 4th floor, strip the bed before leaving). If we knew about this, we would go for a hotel instead as no one wanted to do any more house work on holiday considering paying over 100 pounds for it.
Falsely advertise - the owner advertised free of charge for a baby cot on the website (this was why we chose this room) however he told us it was £20 before we checked in which we didn’t want to waste any more money for this property.

We stayed for 1 night. Access to the property was easy. Everything was very clean and comfortable. Tea and coffee was provided.
Only very minor but would have been nice to have some long life milk pots in the cupboard to go with the tea.

clean, tidy, homely
low ceilings for my 6ft5 partner but no heads were hit

Nice accomodation, easy check-in, comfy main bed.
The doors are very old - i got locked in the bathroom as well as in the bedroom. I booked for 2 persons, but the guest bed in the living room wasn't suitable to sleep on. The ceiling in the bathroom was quite old. The oven was dirty.

The apartment is very high quality located close to the sea front. It is very comfortable and warm and peaceful. It is a short walk to the Cliff path which is a nature walk into Folkestone Harbour. It’s a lovely walk along and recommended. There is car parking at the property which is great.
It is a very cosy place and we were sad to leave.
Nothing to report

nicely furnished, comfortable bed, spotless, great selection of coffee/ tea provided. walked to sea front & town centre. quaint old fashioned lift so no worries being on 4th floor. Lewis met us at the property, showed us in & had a few tips for local eateries.
had to watch your head moving around bed due to attic ceiling. some milk for tea would have been nice.

well described, good location, very comfortable bed and it had parking- not an easy combination to find in this location
the old fashioned lift could put off some, but it has clearly been updated keeping its features.
