We enjoyed our stay. The place was very spacious and in a great location. Please note that parking is not included and not onsite. I had trouble getting in contact with the owner regarding the parking situation.

Clean, cozy place to stay with a close walk to Addison Metro!

Beautiful neighborhood and the place was well kept and clean. Would be happy to come back again. Thank you!

We enjoyed our stay. It was nice having the master bedroom in the basement.
I wish I would have known the “coffee maker” was a Kuerig and not a coffee pot. But that was quickly remedied by a trip to the store.
While parking is “available” (for an additional fee) it’s “first come, first served” street parking. Coming from a rural area where parking is never as issue, I struggled with that.
On the other hand, the neighborhood felt welcoming and safe.

My family stayed here for a long weekend. Before the trip, I asked the host why I was being charged $50 for an extra person when the place sleeps 8 and we have 7 but I never heard back from him, which was disappointing. The check-in instructions were perfect.
We loved the brownstone building on the outside, which could be 100 years old or more. The apartment has some cool old details that seem original but beyond that, the house felt really neglected. The furnishings were old and mismatched throughout with loose door knobs (one ruining the original butler's pantry!?). Water damage from the showers that looked like the owner tried to fix at one time. Floor into the kitchen was sad to see. When we first arrived, the "lower level" where the king-sized bedroom suite was, smelled funky. The smell seemed to go away or we got used to it. The full-size rollout couch was down there as well, which seemed odd. I presumed it would be in the living room. The bathroom downstairs needs to be redone and the upstairs bathroom could be as well, even though that did have some upgrades.
The beds were not very comfortable and the pillows, either slits of foam or an entire foam bag, made for a rough sleep. We had to plug in lights if we wanted to use them, which may be a safety feature but I don't know.
We could hear the neighbors outside and upstairs at times during the night as well.
The heat worked great and the water was good.
Great place with some TLC!
Thank you!

Brought spouse and pups up while I worked out of town. Nice area if you like the hustle of down town. Close to a lot of Chicago's must sees.

The property was perfectly located for our needs. Plenty of room to spread out. Nice quiet neighborhood.

Very close to just about everything, thank you!

Great communication. Spacious, clean home. Location can’t be beat! We had the best time exploring the neighborhood. Convenient for walking to food, activities and public transit.

When we walked in there was a bucket in the bedroom due to a leak in the ceiling. I messaged the owner and the initial response was thanks for letting him know and that he couldn’t get anyone out there until Monday. My son, wife and baby left to find other accommodations, due to not feeling comfortable about the water and where it was leaking from. There was no response to try and make up for the unsatisfactory accommodation. When I requested some form of compensation the owner tried to do the right thing by giving us some reimbursement; however, $50, out of the total of $1100+ amount I spent, I don’t believe was commensurate with our hardship experienced - especially since half my family had to go find another place to stay for the weekend.

This somewhat spartan & spare property is in a great neighborhood, close to Wrigley. It is slightly worn, and is in need of updates. The party before us had to contend with a leaking ceiling, we had a drafty back bedroom, and the stairs to lower level main bedroom are tricky. The bed was extremely comfortable, and roomy.
The kitchen is an odd mix of granite countertops with particleboard cabinets and outdated appliances.
It is overall quite comfortable and roomy . The front porch & steps are slanted & treacherous if wet. Still a good spot to watch the neighborhood.

Older property - so no frills. Clean and convenient. Some electrical features need repairing/upgrading. You do need to climb back stairs for entrance.

Could not have picked a better place to visit our hometown. My hometown, the place where I met my husband! We lived here for 10 years together and came back to visit. It was perfect! Beautiful flat, in the perfect location. We walked all around Lakeview, North Halsted and Wrigleyville! Great host! Lots of communication. Also, I highly recommend paying for the parking pass, as a native, parking sucks, unless you have your handy folding chair lol. This was definitely parking made SOO easy! We will be back!

Great location in east walking distance to Wrigley. Not the most gorgeous place but covered all of our needs and the owner gave great instructions on how to maintain, enter/exit the property.

The apartment was comfortable for six persons and had all the amenities that were needed. It is in a great location, close to public transportation, grocery shopping, interesting restaurants and coffee shops. The vibe is contemporary and inclusive. The only downside to the street on which it is situated is the presence of rats. In the course of four nights we saw three rats on the street. The neighborhood garbage containers were behind the buildings and many were uncovered.
The owner needs to communicate better. For example, after making flight plans based on the published 3:00 PM entry time, we were informed three days before our arrival that we would have been able to leave our bags at the building at noon. Knowing this earlier would have allowed us to select different flights and have more time to tour the city.
In July, before our October stay, I inquired about the beds in the downstairs area. I did not hear back. I finally got to the owner and told him that I needed to know if we could accommodate seven, guests since we had originally reserved for five. He had no problem with the change. When we arrived there were not enough towels and sheets for six (one person decided not to come). We left a message for the owner but heard nothing back that day. The owner demanded an additional $200 for the “additional” guest. Since I had previously informed the owner that I would have seven, not five, I complained to VRBO and the charge was reduced to $50.

House had all the basics we needed and was in a great location!

Location was awesome! We had our infant granddaughter with us and the dirty family room rug was challenging to lay her on. We found an old coffee pot but the filters didn’t fit it. But we loved the location and the character of the home.

We were in town for our nephew’s wedding and wanted to stay close to the venue and the rest of our family. We found this VRBO very easily on the website and the entire registration process was a breeze. Prior to our arrival we received very detailed instructions on how to access the property, making our arrival pleasant.
The location is excellent… walking distance to all amenities… food shopping … loved Whole Foods.. restaurants, etc.
The apartment is spacious and clean although an older building. We were welcomed with wine and spirits in the fridge. The beds and linens were super comfortable. Very quiet and peaceful. With the free wifi I was able to do a couple of hours of work in an at home setting.
We did not have a car so relied on Ubers for transportation. Never had to wait more than 5 minutes for a pick up.
Overall, we had a very nice stay and felt safe and comfortable.
Thank you!

This place is great, there’s an entire downstairs bedroom/bathroom area if someone in your party needs extra privacy. The host was very communicative whenever I had questions. The area was such a charming neighborhood right near boystown. Would love to stay again next visit to Chicago.

Great location for walking to boystown, Wrigleyville or the lakefront and near to transit. Appreciated the size of the space and having two bathrooms. Worked well for our group of three adults.

We stayed here while attending a conference at McCormick place. It was an easy drive each morning (about 25 minutes). The house was comfortable. There are window units for air conditioning which worked fine for our September trip. Be prepared to spend 30 minutes finding a parking space each evening. We were able to find spots within a few blocks each night. It was easiest to unload our luggage in the back alley and then go park. The owner was very helpful and quickly responded to our texts. This would be an awesome location if you are going to a game at Wrigley field because it is a short walk (about 10-15 minutes).

Walking distance to Wrigley. Wonderful neighborhood

The duplex really is within walking distance to Wrigley! It is very close to all the activities for game day. Nice clean, spacious apartment. The third bedroom and bath are downstairs which we didn't use. The listing says parking which I thought meant included in the price but we had some communication problem regarding that. It maybe cost another $20 so no big deal. We found street parking right in front of duplex. We were only there to sleep and left the next morning, but I could see staying there a while if I was in town longer.

It was exactly as described in the listing. The location is phenomenal, just a 7 minute walk to Wrigley. The house was clean and comfortable. The parking was simple, but definitely put the parking day pass on before you leave your car, cos you will get a ticket quick!
We had a great time and will definitely stay again the next time we are in Chicago.

This reminded me of apartments I lived in back when I was living in Chicago but was bigger. Great place with three bedrooms and two bathrooms in fun area near Wrigley field. Be sure to inquire about parking passes because we did not and ended up paying for an expensive lot. It’s just a busy area with permit parking. But highly recommended!

Enjoyed the extremely close distance to Wrigley Field! The property had more than enough space for all of us to feel like we could really enjoy our time together but still have privacy!

This was my first time to Chicago and this duplex is pretty historic. Since I have a museum background, this was perfect for me. The photos are completely accurate and the neighborhood was safe. I also walked less than 10 minutes to Wrigley field for a Cubs game. This duplex does have stairs leading up to the property. It also took a bit to get used to the parking situation but I'd stay here again. The host also responds quickly to any questions or concerns.
