On overnight stop great people and service. Easy parking close to M6 .

Polite and helpful staff, room was clean and well presented. No complaints at all about the stay but would caution against the breakfast; I was asked on checking in if I wanted to pay for breakfast which I did, the following morning I was informed that my choices were a very limited continental buffet, or full English breakfast. Any other breakfast items (even those cheaper than the full English) would be charged extra. I acquiesced to the full English and went to get some toast- the toaster machine drops the toast onto counter at the back of the machine, meaning you have to reach underneath and drag your toast out. I pointed this out and was told they didn’t know where the capture was to stop this. I cancelled my breakfast order and requested a refund which was processed immediately, the staff were very apologetic about it so I cannot fault the service at all.

Advertised as having a swimming pool. It does not have a swimming pool. Booked here three years ago, again advertising their non existent pool. Why are they still allowed to say they have a pool. Lots of complaints at checking out, all saying they had booked this hotel especially for the pool. It would not surprise me if in three years time it is still advertising a non existent pool.

Arrived at the hotel. Signage could have been clearer once turned off from the main road.
Check in was great. Although we think we might’ve got our two rooms mixed up.
I thought I’d requested a king size bed for mine, but we got a double and a sofa bed. But this could have been my error, rather than the hotel’s. They seemed embarrassed about a £50 pre-authorisation to cover any room damage - which made me wonder if they regularly had rough crowds in.
Room 103: smelled of smoke on arrival, despite being clearly marked as non-smoking. So we left the window open whilst we went for a spa to air it out. Broken window handle that they must know about because there’s a hook screwed in to the frame to close it with. Bathroom tiny, but had everything that was needed. The room was clean enough, and had enough plug sockets for phone chargers.
Spa: Disappointing: pool closed; steam room closed; didn’t find a drinking water tap to fill water bottles; nowhere to hang robes whilst in sauna; nowhere to put your toiletries whilst showering in changing room; missing handrails on steps going to sauna; inadequate signage both within the spa and to the spa from the hotel; nowhere to sit to cool off after being in sauna; lots of cubicles in changing room but no seat/bench in the cubicles, so nowhere to put bag/clothes etc. But it was a lovely changing room, and is likely to be awesome when it’s finished. (I’m presuming that it is unfinished?)

Scrambled egg did not look appealing to eat

Ok though not able to charge to room. Building cold main areas nice room basic

Room was very tired in a run down part of the hotel, had to wait about 5-10 minutes for hot water to arrive in the shower. Although the tv had Netflix it didn’t have normal channels.
3.9
No hot water in room.
Moved rooms and no tea/coffee, shampoo.
No answer when calling reception. Couldn’t be bothered to go back down again.
Apology offered for no hot water 🙄.
If you get offered a room in the newly refurbished section avoid.

Wouldn't rush back until refurb has finished. Still plenty of work to complete. They had too many offers running that they didn't know who was paying what. Short staffed and running low on supplies. It was what l would imagine a refurbished refugee camp. Very disappointed and not worth the money.

Great reception. Room was good, clean and tidy. The restaurant was excellent. Nice surroundings with a lake near by and good countryside around.
3.9
Very friendly, smelt lovely as we walked in.

Night away with my man time out few drinks our time hitel was quiet clean etc very nice stay
3.9
Thoroughly enjoyable stay. Lovely location and the newly refurbished rooms are excellent, especially the double/twin rooms. Special thanks to the receptionist Debbie for the assistance during the stay.
3.9
Newly refurbished nicely done, could use a bit of cleaning up, dust was visible on some floor skirting and cob webs around corners. Nice interior décor. Anyone visiting the area or just having a flyby must visit while its still reasonably priced.
I was a bit disturbed by the smell of smoking along some rooms. Its a National Law not to smoke in buildings and the hotel should be strict about this.

Brilliant place for a rave
Disappointed that the swimming pool was out of order
The lifts were out of order
Check in was disorganised. More interested in getting £50 out of everyone
I hope they carry on investing as the place has so much potential
One of the best nightclubs I have ever been in

This Hotel far exceeded our expectations .
4 star only for outside area because it’s work in progress.

Lift not working, pool, spa, gym under refurbishment despite stating it would be finished in January 2024. Keys to the doors not working and having to contantly walk up and down stsirs.

We received a warm welcome in the reception area, which is lavish and modern décor. The room was spacious and recently renovated with a stylish bathroom. We overlooked a courtyard which looks like it should be available to host weddings albeit far from ready for anyone’s big day.
We made a reservation for dinner and a few minutes before going down were called and asked to change it for 30 minutes later. We took this as an opportunity to have a walk around the hotel, which we then found was on a road into a large car park for a gym and gymnastics studio (not owned by the hotel) The grounds of the hotel which are described on signs as ‘village complex’ are abandoned and run down, there is also what looked to once be the pool area which is in the process of being filled in.
When we arrived to dinner it was evident that our reservation had been amended for the large number of contractors staying at the hotel. Dinner was really tasty when it came, unfortunately the atmosphere was uncomfortable and the wait staff also looked very uncomfortable with the contractors too.
Again the contractors were out in the courtyard smoking weed which meant we had to close the windows and we making noise which echoed until well after 1am.
It was a slightly uncomfortable night sleep with a duvet too small for the bed, external noise and banging of doors.
When morning finally came we had a wonderful shower but the buffet breakfast was dried out and not worth the extra

was lovely modern and clean

Chorley Hall was lovely. The staff were helpful and delightful, especially Thom. He was the highlight of our morning at breakfast time, providing us some good recommendations of places to visit.

Lovely staff especially Naz who was on duty through the night very lovely

I believe this hotel has had recent issues, and was closed for a while, Well, I can only congratulate the new owners for a fantastic job on the renovations.
Some of the other buildings attached to the main hotel are possibly planned for future renovations, however this didn't spoil our stay in any way.
The main block of the hotel has been completely overhauled. The reception area is very nice and welcoming, the reception staff member was lovely and we couldn't have had a better check in.
Our room was bright, clean airy and very modern, new bathroom and fittings, very modern tv with casting availability. Usb sockets, and new furnishings all round, the bed was very comfortable, we didn't really have a view, but this wasn't an issue. Service in the bar and restaurant for breakfast was perfect, as was the breakfast itself, for £10 a head. Overall, a great stay, for a very reasonable price.

Couldn't find our booking but had been emailed during the week. Query over rate charged and lift stopped between floors whilst inside. Seemed understaffed
3.9
Poor check in staff, poor bar staff, need to be more customer focused
3.9
Check-in was problematic, first time keys given to an occupied room, which I walked in to. Then keys for the correct room didn't work several times and I had to make multiple trips back to reception where the receptionist told me she couldn't wait to clock off and go home. Room didn't have much sound insulation so I could hear everything that was going on next door... Likely to be more problematic for my neighbour than me as I am a loud snorer. The question to ask yourself is, can you forgive all of this for the price?? Room decor nice enough after recent refurb, however patio covered in cigarette butts.
3.9
Hotel pictures was completely different to the room we was allocated shower was broken only realised this 40 mins before checkout also tv wouldn’t work but comfy bed clean sheets and nice surrounding
3.9
Our stay at this hotel was unfortunately very short due to time of arrival however made us wanting more so we will be rebooking. Freshly revamped smelling of newness, lake views and ample parking but not informed that spa facilities were not open until JULY 24
3.9
Had an enjoyable stay. Refurbished rooms are very nice and ours had patio type doors Older areas are looking tired but that will probably be temporary until complete refurb is done. Would stay again.
3.9
Excellent breakfast
3.9
Room came with no pillows, the water from the shower was cold the entire time we were there, on arrival the front desk staff seemed rude to us. Alongside this even though I had paid before arrival I was asked to pay a pre-auth charge of 2.5 times the amount of the cost of the room even though this wasn’t stated anywhere before I arrived.
3.9
A lovely hotel with great helpful staff!! The hotel was nice and clean and not too far from shops, restaurants and bars!! Would recommend this hotel for a lovely weekend!! Also do weddings there
3.9
Exceptional hotel and amazing service by staff and receptionist
3.9
Fine and a reasonable cost for 2 nights and close to where we wanted so it did the job. Apparently hotel has just been refurbished but looks like reception and maybe just the floor we were on. Corridor was very dark and cold, bedroom doors closed very noisily and no ‘do not disturb’sign to use as we didn’t want our room serviced for just 2 nights. Kettle and /tea ok room but no fridge. Staff all very nice. Surrounding building will take a while to do up but fine for a night or 2.
3.9
Nice hotel quietly tucked away in a pleasant location. Freindly staff, only real petty complaint is no coat hangers in wardrobe
3.9
Check in was quick and friendly. The room was clean and tidy and the bed was comfortable. Parking was easy the food was well priced and tasty.

Brilliant hotel, very nice and helpful staff. Highly recommend
