Location, free wine and slice of pizza at happy hour
A little tired, wasn’t told about the $10 charge per day that could be used at the restaurant.
4.1
Clean, good atmosphere, happy hour was a nice touch
The windows don’t open, no bathroom fan

Longtime Monaco visitor. The Hotel Monaco personal touch is gone. It’s a byproduct of not enough staff with not enough training and not enough personal Moxie.
It’s also a byproduct of this millennial generation. Customer service is rare these days.
Customer service was lacking.

We count on Kimpton for truly good pet friendly accommodation. Most hotels give substandard rooms to people travelling with a dog. Kimpton gives great rooms. No compromise.
Would appreciate coffee/tea in the room instead of having to go to the lobby.

Lovely hotel. Concierge and front desk staff good. Concierge excellent, actually.
Restaurant was too costly, menu limited.
4.1
Rooms were clean, in good condition with plenty of space. Staff was helpful, we had three different people arrive at different times and the hotel was helpful to note the different parties to let them check in.
It was a bit expensive overall but I do not necessarily rate the hotel down for this since the price seemed to be inline with standard Seattle prices. Seattle prices have increased significantly since I last stayed in Seattle.

Providing some daily snack free would be great!
The room is not clean enough. Carpet is dirty.

I liked the happy hour nightly where you had free wine in the comfort of the lobby or your room. the ambience of the lobby and our room was nicely decorated. The location was perfect. We were within walking distance to most of the attractions. After walking around, it was good to receive free water bottle daily. Our valet parking attendants were very friendly and prompt.
We didn't like the fact that upon entering our room, it was stifling hot. The staff at reception notified the technician and supposedly was working on it while we went out. However, when we got back to our room, it was very hot. called again and by the tech returned, the room started cooling off. At that point we were told that the AC units are controlled by senor(movement) in the rooms. What bothered us was the staff (front desk) had no idea of this? They should have known this is how the hotel cooling and heating operated. I didn't like thew fact that an extra $25.00 a day amenities fee was added. If you didn't find something you wanted, you lose it. It would be beneficial to have a larger sign on the street for parking your car for checking in, we totally missed it and it's on a busy street.

All the staff interactions were amazing! I was able to walk everywhere…stadium, pikes…valet my car and didn’t use it until we left. So convenient.

decor, staff were helpful and friendly
thin walls

The location is very convenient, valet parking is very nice and friendly.
The services are very poorly organized. We couldn’t have cleaning up to 3 days, even though we asked them every day. The breakfast is much better in the hotel which is opposite of Hampton Monaco

For the entire stay my room wasn’t cleaned once. Their excuse was that I had to request cleaning. 😂

I thought the hotel was a good location.
Our room had no micro. No coffee pot. When asked about stairs instead of the elevator (because of the dogs) I was told there were none because of closure. Knowing we had dogs in the middle of the city no one mentioned the hotel had a dog park until about 2 hours before we left. I was very angry it would have made our lives so much easier. It does not mention it online or in the room. Angry. We are coming back from another state in November for a Seahawks game. We will not be staying there.

The only thing I liked was that I got a late check out and most of the staff was friendly.
The staff was nice, but I specifically asked them not to charge my credit card and let them know I have 2 other cards they can charge. The lady that checked me in reassured me that my credit card would not be charged and that when I check out I can pay any remaining fees with my other debit card. They charged me an amenities fee, apart of that fee included $10 off my parking, I did not get that. It also offered gym passes and I was not offered that. The guy checking me out said the amenities fee was also for the "complimentary coffee and social hour, both of which I didn't even use. The guy told me.they would reverse the payment on my credit card and they added my other card to charge the fee, but my credit card charge was never reversed and he said there was no manager available. Totally unacceptable!!! The blankets were also dirty and the shower had black stuff coming out the drain until we ran water for a while to let it drain. I asked room service for 2 more towels and they never brought it up, I ended up having to go get it myself. I also booked a room with a view, my view was a garage a vents, no view at all!!! I will never go back nor will I recommend this location

Pros
-Rooms are spacious
-Location convenient to downtown area
-Very comfortable beds
Cons
-Was garbage on the floor in the room from the people before us
-"No guaranteed" housekeeping every day. When we requested housekeeping, they denied the request
-Sink was clogged
-Paid for a higher floor. Looked straight into a concrete building
-Way overpriced for what you get. Management does not seem on top of things compared to other Kimpton locations I've stayed in. Price absolutely did not match the experience we got

it was clean and the place was beautiful
personally I thought the parking out front was confusing with the Valet. the safe in our hotel didn’t work. overall it was pretty clean but the vent in closet was extremely dusty.

Mostly friendly staff, great location, friendly, nice rooms.
With a few clicks of the remote and no clear warning, my eight year old son started watching a kids movie that ended up costing over 30$. There was no warning to us, no agreement to pay and the hotel completely refused to refund any of the charges. Most hotels I have been to make an effort to ensure a viewer knows they are about to be charged for watching a movie, particularly at such an exorbitant rate. This seems calculated to produce additional revenue and soured what was otherwise a pleasant experience.

Location and room
Drag event the next morning excluded us from having breakfast and we had to go somewhere else to eat. This was not anticipated, nor reported that some of the servicea of our stay would not be available to us.
Also, the chair in the room for the desk was broken and almost fell off of it.

The "city view" was directly into another building in the alley and the windows were so dirty that it felt dingy and dark. There was no in-room mini-bar and no in-room coffee, you had to go to the lobby for either snacks and coffee and the coffee was weak. If you ordered take out at the restaurant they charged you a room service fee if you charged it to the room, which changed the price even though you went downstairs and waited for it.

We paid full price through booking.com but the. We’re charged an extra 80$ at checkout for random fees

Great location - comfortable bed
The room needs to be updated. Toilet seat had a rip, missing tile grout, paint chips.

Barbara checked us in Friday night and was so nice, friendly and welcoming.
No maid service on Saturday morning, I had to go as for clean towels so we could shower Sunday morning.
