3.2
Family hotel, quiet and comfortable with welcoming staff. Very nice breakfast to set us up for the day.
3.2
Bed very comfortable, basic facilities provided were as expected. I literally needed a room to stay for one night and it served that purpose. The bonus for me personally was a firm bed, but electrical noise of some description denied me of a restful nights sleep.
I did not eat at the premises.
Constant hum like a load fridge kept me awake much of the night. It appeared to be internal, not external noise. Fellow guest noise minimal
3.2
The property was well positioned. Staff were friendly. The rooms are dated but extremely clean with tea / coffee facilities and en suite.
The rooms are large.
Very quiet.
Comfortable beds.
3.2
Did not have breakfast
3.2
The room was of an ample size and had drink making facilities and an information book with the details of the hotel and guest information. The room was clean and well presented. The en-suite was clean and a decent size.
The building is of an old design and the room was a bit cold at night, you can request heaters and blankets from the reception but seeing as this was a one night stay I didn't mind. The walls are also quite thin so I was able to hear the next room talking, but other then these two minor details its a lovely hotel.
3.2
Clean bed, and newish bathroom
Really needing refurbished, rubbish lying outside the door of the "cottage " where we got put for one night slept OK, smell of cigarette smoke all night long coming in the door , and to top it all off got a large hair across my toast so could not eat my breakfast , just wanted to get checked out and away
3.2
Location was ok
The hotel was extremely rundown and two of the rooms that we were offered stunk of cigarette, were dirty and needed significant amount of maintenance done to the rooms. The staff member on reception showed no enthusiasm and didn’t seem to want to be there.
3.2
Cheap and cheerful
No one on reception, but as a result of waiting, the manager gave me a free drink
3.2
Free parking and many lots
1. When we were at the reception, they took a long time to retrieve our details.
2. The beds were very old and need to be changed.
3. The carpets were very mouldy and dirty.
4. When we asked for housekeeping, they were reluctant to clean our room and change our towels.
5. It was raining and we were feeling very cold. we asked them to on the heater they were reluctant to on it. I have to call them 2 time then bring a portable heater for us.
6. The wifi cannot be used in the room only outside the reception area.
7. The tap at the bathtub is very confusing and not clean.
8. The ightning was very poor in the room
9. The car park isn't enough lighting when I drove my car at night can't see the way to go to the carpark.
3.2
Taff were very helpful.
Shower was over the bath

The 2 guy's couldn't do enough for you nice quiet location. Bedroom was clean bed was comfortable
It's a we bit out from city centre could do with a we bit of TLC to the decor
3.2
Breakfast was nice but small portion. Also veggie breakfast was quite limited.
Beds very uncomfortable- mattresses need changing
Building and rooms need a freshen up.
Walls quite thin, we could hear the person next door snoring which impacted on our sleep.
3.2
Nice place, but they need to upgrade the toilet systems
3.2
Breakfast was good.
One of my friend was bitten by bed bugs the night we stayed in the hotel.
Also, there was a snail in their bathroom.
3.2
parking at the door, room clean comfortable bed, bathroom bath shower. Being a hotel was good to have a drink and not worry about driving. Breakfast was included in price very nice. staff very nice.
Noise from other rooms very early
3.2
Accepted dogs
Nothing
3.2
nicely located, a bit dated and in need of improvement. was clean and the staff very friendly
the bed was uncomfortable and the shower cubicle was too small
3.2
staff really helpful.
3.2
lovely location and some nice features
The bed was the most uncomfortable we’ve ever been in and couldn’t sleep. My daughters was better.
3.2
the hotel was very clean
it is an old property and decor was a little dated.
3.2
everything was ok
no food available
3.2
Location was great for our needs. We needed to be on the outskirts of Carlisle with easy access to A roads to the surrounding area. The room was spacious and dog friendly. Breakfast was very good - enjoyed the kippers.
Good to have access to a bar on site. Good wifi.
Great Greek take away next door - Let's Greek
Disappointed to learn that the hotel don't provide evening meals - something we hadn't planned for.
The room was dated and tired, with black mould patches in corners.
We could hear every footstep of the person staying directly above our room and were woken in the night by residents three doors down.
3.2
Staff were lovely.
The hotel itself is a beautiful old building.
Location is good as its fairly quiet but good transport links
3.2
parking location
room was cold
3.2
Location was good, staff nice too.
Decor was very old fashioned and dated, including the bathroom. The shower either had insanely hot water or freezing cold water - no middle ground - with poor shower pressure. If you do want hot water, that takes a few minutes to come through. Nightmare, doesn't set you up well for the day!!!! For any hotel hot water has to be a minimum. Wouldn't stay here again or recommend.
3.2
Location, very clean, comfy beds.
80s decor, thin curtains with security light outside, staff smoking at the door, noise from road (Saturday night, people walking past).
3.2
Breakfast was very nice.
