Whilst small, my room was very cosy and the shower was great. My bed was incredibly comfortable too.
The parking was tight. If I had a bigger car than my Fiesta van, I'd be in trouble!

Room was well appointed and very clean. Breakfast was up to expectations Very easy to find. Close to the centre of Carlisle easy to access shops and dining outlets
the traffic noise, there was traffic to very late and early in the morning the double glazing not appearing to block out the noise

Very clean and comfortable with an excellent breakfast.
The hosts were very helpful and easy to talk to.

Easy to find and close to the centre of Carlisle. Slightly awkward off road parking outside building in narrow area. Lots of original features in the building although strange colour scheme made it rather gloomy. The rooms were small but clean and comfortable. Easy walk into Carlisle with many restaurants nearby. Breakfast was basic cold selection but nice cooked breakfast although sadly. only tepid .
The host seemed to want minimal interaction with us. We were immediately asked to pay upfront and briefly showed to room before he left. We had to preorder breakfast and beverage on arrival! In the morning he brought in cooked food and left . One plate was nearly cold but we couldn't complain as we didn't see him again. The room was warm and comfortable but the ensuite was tiny and musty. The windows are double glazed but all bedrooms face the very busy road and it was very noisy from about 0530 disturbing our sleep..

Quick check in, friendly welcome, really nice breakfast included, comfy bed for single night stay on route to Scotland, parking fine on the road outside
nothing it was just what I hoped for

Absolutely amazing service from a lovely fellow, breakfast blew me away and set me up perfectly for the day, will be staying there every year when on the way to Bloodstock. The kind gentleman running the establishment also lifted all of the bags my group had up the stairs. We were going to a festival... They were heavy and there were many.

Breakfast was offered to me on arrival - included in the price. They asked what I wanted and what time I would be down and made sure they had it all out ready for me. Never known this before! Was very impressed.
A bath would have been nice. But all things considered, very good value for money. As it was a weekend in the summer in a supposedly expensive area.

Very nice . Good breakfast. Comfy . Affordable.
Maybe a wider time for the breakfast would be nice.

The room was spacious, clean and airy. The bed itself was so comfortable, the tv at the end had a nice selection of apps and was nicely sized. it is a short, direct route to get to the centre of Carlisle, just 8mins down one road. There is a small car park out front. The gentleman who checked me in and out was lovely and friendly. while I didn't have the breakfast the breakfast looked nice and clean, with a selection of cereals on the side.
The road outside was very loud even with the window shut but can't blame the owners for that.

Beautiful old house, carefully decorated to fit in with the original victoriana features. Very quiet and relaxed, lovely cooked breakfast, and friendly, calm hosts.
The traffic noise at night, but it's easily resolved with earplugs.

Was disappointed with breakfast as it was cold.
The shower lacked pressure & took a good while to get hot. The hot tap to the sink never got hot or even warm.

lovely service and really comfy bed
only thing there was a bit of road noise as I was on the front but not major, it doesn’t bother me that much at all.

It is a spacious Victorian building which is warm, well maintained and very clean. It was the largest hotel room I have had with space to work on my computer or sit in a comfortable chair reading a book. My English vegetarian breakfast, which I requested, was cooked beautifully. The staff were very friendly.
All was fine

My only minor issue was the road noise outside. Maybe a problem for light sleepers!

Location - easy walk to trains, buses and Hadrian’s Walk path.
Earliest breakfast available at 7.30am or 8am at weekend. would have been really great to have had something like toast and cereal available for early walkers!
