Great lodge with lots of excursions to enjoy your time. You can see amazing rock paintings very close by through hiking trails, do e-mountain bike with the best guide Ronny, you can enjoy good food, sunsets and views. Mountain bike was specifically fun as you can see animals around while cycling- and it is for all levels! Although, it was winter time and we felt cold at night in other hotels, the room temperature was comfortable in Ai Aiba, there also were hot water bottles to use but we didn’t need. The decorative design of the lodge was very nice too. Breakfast menu was rich, and dinner was delicious. We couldn’t enjoy the pool enough as the water temperature was a bit cold (it was winter time) but warthogs including the baby ones coming to the pool seating area was the highlight of out stay!
Wifi wasn’t working at all in the rooms and there was no network.

The location is simply breathtaking! The huts blend in the scenery beautifully, the amenities are amazing and the feeling is that of pure relaxation. I could have stayed here for 10 whole days and not get bored of anything! Absolutely loved it!
We lost a bit of time with paying for meals and drinks, so perhaps the staff can work on speeding up the process...but this really isn't a big deal in the grand scheme of things. Other than that, impeccable.

Atemberaubende Landschaft in die sie die Lodge harmonisch einfügt.
Breathtaking landscape into which the lodge fits harmoniously.
Die geführten Touren könnten verbessert weredn wenn der Guid Bildtafeln der Tiere mit englischen und deutschen Namen mitführen würde.
The guided tours could be improved if the guide carried pictures of the animals with English and German names.

The location was just beautiful and the design of the hotel is lovely. Highlight of the stay was the morning walk/drive with Dion. He was a hugely knowledgeable guide who was clearly passionate about his job. Kitchen tried to cater for vegan and vegetarian guest.
Customer service wasn’t as good as at sister property and dinner was clearly understaffed. The spacious bedroom was nice but bathroom looked really outdated. As rooms are paired in bungalow style buildings you can clearly hear your neighbours in their room.

We had a lovely night at Ai Aiba. The staff were friendly and helpful, the food was lovely, and our sundowner-guided walk with Kules was a highlight. The scenery above the lodge, while the sun was sinking, was breathtaking.
The rooms were on a bit on the rustic side and if the owners gave it a basic revamp, it would take it to the next level. And with all the sun we have in Africa, a solar panel to heat the pool....

Breathtakingly beautiful surroundings.
I think the dinner at R420 was overpriced for what you got. R300 would be more realistic.

excellent location, service and tours. Really nice lodge!

The location of the lodge is spectacular. Buildings are nestled beneath a ridge, overlooking the plain. Activities include guided walks, from which the morning walk is absolutely recommended and drives which were equally nice. breakfast and dinner was both very good. The area of the main building is nice, we even had a visit from a warthog family eating the grass there. A lot of game was also seen during our stay including giraffes and mountain zebras. The sunsets on the rocks, at the drive and at the lodge area were impressive.
Our guide for most of the activities was "Mr. T", he was awesome in explaining and also in spotting of animals and animal tracks.
The lodge was the most impressive one of the nice places we stayed at and a clear recommendation.

The staff and atmosphere was exceptional. I have little comparison as I usually stay in less fancy places, but I think it's pretty good value for money (I find it hard to imagine what else there would be offered at lodges charging double or more of this)
Maybe it was a good thing to not have it, but wifi in the Bungalow would have been nice. The wifi in the common area worked very well.

- stunning location
- Khoolas was an outstanding guide
- great view and good activities
- service at dinner and breakfast was somewhat slow and not super attentive
- the resort is very remote and you need to drive for 50km on a gravel road that can be challenging for small vehicles or during rainy season
- not enough electric plugs in the room

location, activities on offer, good food
expensive, menu rotation required - meals same after 3 days, staff often standing round doing nothing and not serving people at pool. had to ask for clean pool towels, ask for pool area to be cleaned and ask for the daily clean water for room

Beautiful erae. Amazing view. Some of the stuff super helpful and nice. There is a self walking tour that was nice, as well as the complementary sundown walk. Nice waterhole.
The room was not super clean, in fact the fridge and the cattle was dirty. We had a problem with the car's fridge charging and with the laundry that has been discussed with the front desk - no solution was found. At the check out the manager offered solutions but it was obviously too late. They decided not to charge us for 2 items that was washed- after an exhausting discussion. Felt really unprofessional. No umbrellas at the pool.

Breakfast was adequate. The staff friendly and helpful. Plenty of fresh towels by the pool. Spacious chalet. Good coffee machin in the room.
I was disappointed that it wasn't allowed to self-drive in the adjoining private game reserve.

The views from my chalet were excellent. Food was very good, too. Most of all I liked the staff: Mr. Gift with whom I went on two lovely walks, Mr. Emanuel who took me on a sundowner walk and showed me baboons, antilopes and zebras, and Ms. Erika at the reception who always made me smile. I can't imagine a nicer place to stay in the beautiful Erongo region.
There's nothing.

One of our favourite place during our trip in Namibia. Wonderful accommodation in an amazing spot. The Erongo mountains are very beautiful and the lodge is beautifully designed. We felt a very good atmosphere there.
Nice walking trail just behind the lodge. The guided hike for sunset was very nice and the two guides were very interesting to listen to.

the staff here are amazing and went above and beyond to keep us happy! Erika was an amazing guide on our sundowner walk and took us up the shortcut separately as we arrived later but didn’t want to miss out. the lodge is really beautiful and we didn’t want to leave. the room was great with a lovely view. would definitely come back!
Liked everything. Important to note that the property is at the end of a long, bumpy gravel road. need a good car to get through it. Would prefer dinner to be included in the overall price as there are no other food options, although perhaps some travellers occasionally arrive late and would miss it so maybe that is why they don’t
