Excellent staff! Beautiful castle. Exceeded all expectations

Such a unique experience. It added a special touch to our trip.
It would have been nice to have at least breakfast at the hotel or a restaurant nearby.

I liked EVERYTHING!

Do not charge my credit card and confirm payment ahead of checking in to this hotel because the hotel must collect payment. This is contradictory and makes me want to avoid using Bookings.com

Kind staff beautiful place extremely comfortable bed attentive staff but also they leave you alone where you don’t feel under a microscope.
Over all good no room service, no breakfast options, they are on their off season that may be different- not a huge deal but can’t bill room for restaurant a little bit of mold in bathroom shower, it happens don’t think the room we had is used often or has been in a little bit. Otherwise the place was very clean

Our family suite was spotless and stocked with water, breakfast bars and snacks. We dined in the Great Hall and were more than surprised by the quality and presentation of the cuisine. Given the theme of the property, I expected food on par with many of the theme restaurants in NYC. It certainly exceeded our expectations. Scallops were cooked perfectly, beef was tender and flavorful, and the lobster Mac and cheese was a home run. Hats off to the chef for providing a gourmet experience in an unexpected location. Our waiter, Jorge, was attentive to our every need and certainly made the experience a delight.
Some thumping in the ceiling, that we attributed to the hot water system, was heard while we slept. Given the age of the property, I guess it’s to be expected.

Very unique setting. Comfortable, quiet, priced right. Can’t go wrong there.
Entry was a bit confusing. But, they don’t have a lot of real estate to work with. Not their fault, and was well worth the effort to find it. Part of the fun I might say.

Was sad the kitchen was not open on a Saturday
Our room was by checkin so louder

finding the entrance to the parking lot was a little challenging

Incredible place to stay!
Nothing. This was an exceptional property.
4.5
Nicely decorated. It’s an old armory but they did it very nice inside. President Kennedy even visited once.
Air conditioning. There was a sign on the thermostat saying that the temperature must stay at 68 degrees with auto fan or the system would freeze up and not work? The 1st night was to hot. The 2nd I put the fan on and it felt a little better. 68 degrees is not air conditioning.

It was very nice, no complaints

Loved the castle decor - unique and fun!
Staff were very accommodating and helpful.
No food service - no bar service
Toilet seats did not cover the toilet - very uncomfortable to sit on - had to sit directly on the ceramic rim!!

Resturant was not open. Eateries were out a bit.
Resturant not open. Eating places were out a bit but we found them

Building interior and exterior was so interesting. Room was huge! Bathroom was large and very clean. Coffee and water were provided in the room. Staff was very friendly and answered all of our questions. Restaurants with a local flavour within walking distance. Riverlink Park is very close and provided a great morning walk over the river.

The venue was unique and very memorable. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable.
The description should have indicated that the restaurant was closed until April 24.

The Aviance was exceptional. Very clean room, lots to explore.
Breakfast wasn't served or available.

excellent room, freshly renovated. Pleasant staff.
lack of breakfast. Coffee was a terrible Keurig and they provided some minimal cookies for breakfast. I understand that they went to this during COVID, but it would be nice if they offered something more serious now that the pandemic has subsided.
4.5
Excellent staff, extremely clean and neat. Beautiful atmosphere. Seemed very private and like home. It's very pretty and the great majority of it's ambiance is accurate to it's era. Kid's will love it. Easy parking. Nice lighting. It's like an extra large, interesting B&B. We're definitely staying there again.
I assume in summer, the Castle caters to the Saratoga track crowd, and good for them being able to make money in a small town. In winter, the price was two thirds less. What a treat. We booked a night we didn't even use and the cost was so low we didn't worry about trying for a refund through our booking site. We live hours away but have family and friends in the area. We plan to look into hosting a family & friends dinner here in the near future.
