Location
Poor information and communication

Beautiful location. Impeccably clean and comfortable with everything you would need, from a well equipped kitchen, the welcome hamper, toiletries etc. We stayed for Christmas eve until boxing day, and it was perfect. I couldn't fault anything.
4.5
Beautiful views of countryside and horses, outdoor space to sit, pond, close to the famous Polo grounds, events and farmshop.

The cottage was comfortable and well equipped but a book of instructions for appliances would have helped. The welcome pack was helpful too and enjoyed. Parking excellent. Best accommodation I have stayed in so far.
The lower shower head in the wet room did not fully function. TV missing in the twin room. Also radiator did not get fully hot at the top in there.

lovely setting clean and well appointed
the shower and bathroom needs upgrading

The peace and quiet. The accommodation.
Wasps nest in the roof space above the bedroom so we couldn't open the window (it was very hot) and the wasps were scratching/tapping all night.
4.5
Excellent location, close to Midhurst but in quiet countryside with walks from the door.
Perfect for a dog friendly break.
Very well appointed, dishwasher, washing machine, hairdryer.
It would have been even better if we could have easily walked to pub/restaurant.

perfect family cottage with great location for walks and lunch
shared garden

The cottage was excellent, immaculately clean, well equipped and in a idyllic location. We travelled with two dogs and with the walks in the national park on your doorstep it couldn't be better.
The hall flooring in the cottage is carpet and could have been the same high quality hard flooring as the lounge/kitchen area for ease of cleaning as it is a dog friendly cottage. As the cottage has underfloor heating it would still have a comfortable feel underfoot.
4.5
Great location with beautiful surroundings and very peaceful. Great walks from doorstep and excellent accommodation for dog owners.
Broken toilet seat in bathroom. No spare cupboards to store food items. Dirty cleaning rags left in washing machine.

lovely cottages in lovely location.
Easy to reach, quiet, spacious, nicely finished and kitted out.
we stayed for three nights and they only left a nearly finished toilet paper roll. would have hoped for at least one spare roll.
some of the fittings were quite tired (large cracks on the bathtub).
they say there is broadband but it wasn't working at all. i called reception and they said they would get back to me but nobody did. only one of us had phone signal so we were quite limited

Found it ideal for self catering, nice quiet location. Property very clean and well maintained.
Both sofas were not as comfortable as I am used to but adequate for the short stay.

Directions to the property were confusing. We were told our particular cottage (Heathend) was at the rear of the Golf Club which is not the case - it is further down the road at a turn clearly marked Benbow Pond. When we telephoned for directions, 6pm in the evening, we didn’t get any further help and the person we spoke to didn’t return our call when she said she would. So this person obviously didn’t know where it was either. When we initially booked we were under the impression that the property had no stairs and was on one level and also we were booking rooms with a king size in one which could be split into a twin and a double bed - for three person occupancy. We requested the bed to be split for twin use but this was not done. The two couches/sofa beds were badly stained and there were hairs in the bath.

Well set up for self-catering with dishwasher, freezer, microwave, oven & washing machine. Although ironing board was pretty useless - unstable and too low to use standing up.
TV is not a Smart TV, so viewing is limited to live Freeview programming only. Not very impressive. Some road noise from the busy A272.

The location was perfect for all the garden visits we had planned and the cottage was well equiped , comfortable and very clean.
4.5
Superb cottage with everything you could want. Very well maintained and almost new inside. Very comfortable.
Whilst we understand because of Covid there can be no paperwork etc we do think there needs to be a laminated sheet on a wall to advise the nearest hospital, doctor, dentist etc. If someone had an emergency they wouldn't know what to do. The en suite towel rail valve needs to be opened more and the cold tap drips. Aside from these very minor things the cottage is extremely good and we highly recommend.
