The owner was welcoming and friendly, the room was perfect for me and my kids. We had everything we needed for our stay.
There wasn't anything bad to say about this hotel.

Location
Should be a two star. Very small room, saggy mattresses, cost saving evident in all areas.

Super friendly greeting as we checked in, with a clear explanation of how things operate. Despite the recent state of Blackpool, the property felt safe and well cared for. The building appeared very clean and looked after in the corridors and at a glance, the room! We did not opt to go for a breakfast, though a glance at the menu showed a great offering for a breakfast included in the room price. The location was great, located right by a tram stop for access to north and south beaches, as well as central pier and food options being a short walk away. The room biscuits were also delicious!
Though the stay was mostly great, a couple of factors did make our night less comfortable. Firstly, there was a lot of dust on high points in the room which didn't help my asthma very much, and found myself wheezing for the first time in months once I had woken up, so a little ventilation and dusting should quickly resolve that. Secondly, the corridors were quite creaky which made it difficult to remain as quiet as I would've liked in the corridors - though that's probably the age of the building!

Breakfast was amazing
The toilet being out of the room and the doors to leave the room were very noisy so was worried if needed to go toilet in the night, it would wake the whole house

Very close to all major attractions . John was very welcoming and accommodating and nothing was any trouble . Beds ( in well appointed family room ) were very comfortable and the room / bathroom were very clean and well presented . We were also able to get some parking nearby which was a great bonus in what can be a busy town . Breakfast was great too and a great start to a busy day .

We had a lovely stay at the salendine. We had the family room that slept 5, came with a lovely little balcony to sit out on which we didn’t expect. The room was compact and a little but didn’t bother us as that’s what you expect in a b&b at Blackpool, room was light and airy, also was clean. The breakfast was gorgeous, good quality food. John the host was such a nice man, nothing was to much trouble. Location is good right in the middle. We would deffo book the this b&b again when we visit Blackpool.

John and Sam were fantastic hosts and very helpful.
The family room had a balcony, and all the beds were very comfortable to get a great nights sleep.
Breakfast was cooked to order each morning and made with good quality ingredients.
The hotel is location is great, at the bottom of the road is the tram and bus stop.
It might have been nice to have a new order sheet for breakfast everyday incase you wanted to change anything, rather than what you ordered on your first day, you then got every day
Rooms weren't checked every day of your stay to see if bin needed emptied, toilet rolls needed or to see if fresh towels were needed.
However, when we needed more supplies, I emailed the hotel directly through booking.com, and the hotel responded straightaway.

I was worried about finding a place to park but I shouldn't have. It is free parking on the street (don't park on the path as people were getting tickets) If there is no space, speak to the hosts who will help guide you. Theres a car park in front of the building on the corner which does charge but speak to the hosts first.
Rang the bell upon arrival. Hosts answered the door very quickly and very welcoming. Instantly felt friends. Arrived a little early and only had a few minutes until the room was ready. We stayed in a twin room for 2 nights. You are given a breakfast tick sheet so you can choose exactly what you want to eat from the long list which includes a range of cooked breakfast items as well as cereals. Cooked breakfast also comes with toast and if you want marmalade, butter, milk and juice, it is ready for you when you sit at the table. You can have jam etc all you need to do is ask. Toast, tea, etc is brought out when you are seated. The room we stayed in was a twin room and was clean and the bathroom has a corner shower with sliding doors, toilet, and sink etc. The beds were really comfy and we slept well even on the first night which I usually struggle with. Couldn't get the TV to work but I don't own a TV at home so not an issue at all and I completely forgot to mention this to the hosts (sorry). Free internet and the code was on the wall and was a good speed.
The area is closer to the pleasure beach than the tower but only a walk up the road or even a tram ride if you like. The tram stop is at the end of the road (turn right out the door and its about 2-3 minutes to the beach and tram stop. If you turn left out of the house (less than 1 minute walk) you have a bus stop and also a little shop/newsagents, chinese takeaway and other shops.
Hosts very friendly and chatty and felt that nothing was too much trouble. If we come back to Blackpool this will be out first choice to stay.
The only downside was the sink was quite small and you have to be careful not to headbutt the bathroom cabinet when you brush your teeth but that is very workable!
