The house was very nice and clean. If it hadn't been for the attic room, it would have met our wishes in every way. It was close to Bath and the place was very quiet and familiar.
It was not in the description that the attic room was more for children. 6 adults stayed in the house and the beds above are not adult-sized. I slept in one of them and hung from the bed by my knees. It was extremely uncomfortable. And the stairs were more of a ladder...

Cosy cottage
Easy to park two cars
Children loved the attic room
Clean and well presented
Hosts love next door and were friendly and helpful but not intrusive.

The house was much more then we expected. It was gorgeous! And spacious. And warm. I mean literally warm, it suddenly got cold outside. It felt like home, we enjoyed it very much.
The fact that we stayed only two nights.
Everything was great.

Loved the way Kirstie & Steve have blended the traditional & modern so the house retains the character of the miners cottage alongside the comfort & warmth of contemporary life.
Nothing!

Lovely cottage in a good location with easy access to Bath, Bristol, Wells and great Somerset countryside including the Mendip Hills. The hosts live next door and are friendly and available and the cottage is well equipped. The wi-fi works well.
Nothing major, but the bedding could have been slightly warmer and the gas oven took a bit of getting used to.

We chose this cottage for its location and because it had 3 bedrooms as we were 3 generations who wanted our own rooms. The two doubles were absolutely perfect. The twin in the attic was loved by my 19 year old son, though the stairs were so unusual I didn't venture up there for my own safety. The cottage was very well equipped and had lovely outside seating areas too although we didn't use them as we were out and about all day. We visited Longleat, Bristol, bath and Tyntesfield NT all in our 3 night stay. Some really lovely metal decorative pieces around, apparently made by Steve our host!

The cottage was beautifully decorated and was really well equipped. We enjoyed relaxing on the lovely private terrace. It was very hot during our stay and there were fans in each bedroom which was great. We were very pleased to find somewhere which welcomed our 3 dogs and the stone floor in the dining room was perfect for them.

Harvel Cottage was perfect for our stay, its close proximity to Bath makes it ideal for sightseeing and shopping. We felt it was a true "home from home" with its comfy beds, a lovely courtyard garden, the front garden is full of roses, honeysuckle and other perennials. Thanks for the yummy biscuits and milk, ideal just what we needed on arrival :-)
Nothing, would not change a thing.

Everything about the cottage was of the highest standard with additional welcoming touches that made the stay perfect. I can't recommend highly enough.

Location was perfect for my needs. Comfortable beds, nice kitchen, good TV, beautiful garden at the front and nice seating area at the back. Plenty of parking too. Very tastefully decorated and furnished and plenty of cleaning products available too.
A dishwasher would have been useful but otherwise altogether a nice property. The top floor stairs are very steep and unusual so not suitable if you suffer from vertigo or are elderly I would suggest.
