Nice location close to Richmond. Attractive, clean, well kept cottage at rear of house with own driveway, parking space and entry. Pleasant garden to sit out in, comfortable bed, nicely furnished. Lovely shower and bathroom.
It was self catering but only one saucepan and one frying pan supplied. Was looking forward to some home cooking after a few B&B but after attempting with difficulty to cook a meat and 3 veg dinner with 2 pans, no workspace hardly, and no microwave either, we ate out the next 3 nights. I’d suggest replacing the wooden shelf holding crockery with a microwave on a shelf, and a wall cupboard to hold some crockery and guest’s food. There’s a BBQ but it was raining & cold, and it wasn’t under cover. Fab wood fire, but wood supplied was green and huge blocks, with no axe to chop it smaller. Didn’t bother after first night either, just used fan heater supplied.

In a word, everything.
This has been the most amazing property we have stayed in in Tasmania, the cottage is very private and quiet, the décor is just lovely, decorated with a sense of flair and space including Lux bedding and towelling. So comfortable especially on cold winter nights. The hosts are incredible (we only got to meet Gabby on this occasion) they could not have been more welcoming and accommodating, from the welcome breakfast pack (the most delicious bacon ever) to the changing of towels and amenities every second day to the ever replenished stock of wood for the combustion heater to personally meeting us on arrival to discuss our travel plans and giving us tips and hints to local attractions, the cottage is run by people who truly understand hospitality.
A special experience, we would love to stay again.

Gabby and Greg have created a beautiful, relaxing and comfortable space in their lovely cottage. There were lots of luxurious touches throughout, with everything you need in a home away from home. The wood heater heated up the cottage perfectly and the bed was superbly comfortable. A generous breakfast was included for our stay, which was delicious. Located at the back of the main house, with off street parking and your own courtyard / garden, meant it was very private and quiet. Only a short stroll into town, which was also great. Would highly recommend this property if you are looking for a lovely and welcoming place to stay in Richmond.

Everything about the cottage is thoughtful and beautiful, Gaby was super responsive, and very respectful of my privacy. I had three peaceful days at the cottage to write, it’s a writers dream stay. An easy walk to the village which is full of history and gorgeous cafes and shops. The fire was ready to light when I arrived, and it was warm and cosy even when it was cold and drizzly out. A fully functioning kitchen, and local ingredients supplied for a gourmet breakfast. Thanks so much! I would love to stay again one day.

Everything about A Cottage in Richmond, Tas was perfect. The hosts were the best. The cottage itself was extremely clean, comfortable, beautifully furnished and equipped. We enjoyed using the little courtyard and bbq at the back of the cottage and appreciated the produce left for us.The location was in a beautiful historic village with lots to see and do. We highly recommend staying here and the hosts, Gabby and Greg will go out of their way to ensure you enjoy your stay.
There was absolutely nothing to not like.

Comfortable bed, good shower
No microwave in the kitchenette, scratchy sheets (prefer good cotton), there were no screens on the windows and we were inunadated with flying insects, also the lack of curtains made it very bright in the mornings so no sleep in. The accommodation is a 1 room studio - not an apartment/villa with seperate bedroom.

Lovely cottage - loved the floors, bed was really comfortable, breakfast foods included on arrival, close enough to town to walk, hosts very welcoming.
A little more bench space in the kitchen would have been good - perhaps a small freestanding table/cupboard on the wall near fridge. Towels didn’t smell fresh like they sat in washer too long - in hindsight I should have let Gabby know and got them replaced. Dinner options in village limited if you don’t want to self cater.

The accommodation was very nice indeed done in the Scandinavian style. The bed was extremely comfortable. The kitchen had everything including cooker. The accommodation it squeaky clean. When we arrived, the fire in the stove had already been lighted. The little village is just around the corner, so that one can have a nice pint or two. The accommodation is in a very quiet location. The hosts are also very friendly.

Beautifully presented cottage with great facilities. There were lots of extra touches and items like the linen were high quality. A very good location too and the owners were very helpful.
Very minor, but a front door mat would help occupants to keep the floors clean.

The cottage was just lovely not far from the Main Street. Everything was immaculate , Gabby had provided us with Bacon , eggs, freshly baked bread , homemade Granola tea coffee etc . The fire made everything so comfortable and cosy
we loved everything about the property. The only things I think that could be improved on is the quality of the Doona. In winter I felt we needed a bit more warmth.

This charming cottage is comfortable and cosy. The wood burning fire was welcoming on arrival and lovely to relax in front of in the evenings. The cottage is well-appointed and exceptionally clean, and perfect for two people. We enjoyed the breakfast, which was more than sufficient. It is a short and easy walk into Richmond over the historic bridge. We will definitely stay again.

The cottage was cosy and perfect for our stay. It had everything we needed. The breakfast supplies and built fire were really nice touches. I would love to come back and would recommend to couples looking for a romantic getaway.

Despite the cottage being on the same property as the owners, it still felt very private. Loved the outdoor seating area, amenities.
Dining area and TV could have been bigger - however this is very minor!

The cottage was just beautiful! The kitchen and bathroom were modern. We absolutely loved the fireplace and couches. It was easy to access and in walking distance of the main village. Very relaxing and inviting accommodation. We will be back! Thank you for having us.

Wow, I loved everything about this cottage. From the moment we walked in we felt incredibly relaxed, it was immaculate and positioned in such a great location in a Richmond. I read another review that talked about how relaxing the property was, and I couldn’t agree more. Highly recommend this cottage and I thank the hosts again for a wonderful stay!
