At Grande Bay Resort, you get the best of both worlds. You're within a brief walk of all that Cruz Bay has to offer - shopping , casual & fine dining, nightlife, watersports, and yet the Resort's beachside location and amenities provide an unmistakable feeling of seclusion. Beautiful Morning's prime corner location in the upper building offers unobstructed views from the Cruz Bay ferry dock all the way over Pillsbury Sound to the evening lights of St. Thomas.

You'll be welcomed at the ferry dock by our experienced guide, who will assist you with luggage and jeep rental, and then escort you to the condo for a brief orientation. During your stay she is available to ensure that your vacation is relaxing and carefree.

Grande Bay Resort has a beautiful freeform heated pool situated on an elevated coral stone sun deck overlooking the beach. This area also contains a generously sized, tiled spa/hot tub. The resort is the only in town with a spacious waterfront gym which features treadmills, a recumbent bike trainer, an elliptical, live weights, and A PILATES machine! The view of the beach and harbor from the deck and the gym is inspiring.

If you rent a jeep, you'll enjoy a reserved covered parking spot next to the elevator that takes you right to your door. The condo is in the upper building, ensuring privacy and a commanding view. Landscaped walkways take you to the lower building's elevator to reach street level, or simply walk down the steps alongside the gorgeous waterfall.

The condo features a beautiful new kitchen with granite counters and stainless steel appliances, including a built-in microwave and dishwasher. We have bar seating for four facing the kitchen, which is wonderfully equipped for you cooks with an extensive array of high-quality cookware, knives and utensils; a Cuisinart coffee maker with separate grinder; a toaster and a separate toaster oven. There is even a full supply of baking equipment should a special occasion come up. Serve everything on our large collection of tropical colored Fiestaware. For the all-important happy hour, there is a commercial-strength blender for those frozen tropical drinks (yes, the refrigerator has an icemaker), and glassware appropriate for all beverages, from wine to martinis, including plastic glasses you can take outside or down to the pool deck. Enjoy the view from the dining table inside, which seats six comfortably, or enjoy dining al fresco on the large wraparound fully covered front balcony, which has its own dining table for four.

The wraparound front balcony is a unique feature of this condo. Because of the architecture of the resort, our balcony is quite large (about 8' by 15'), and open on three sides so that it features cross-breezes most of the time. The views are spellbinding, ranging from the hills above town, to the comings and goings in the harbor and beach below, to the outer cays in Pillsbury Sound, all the way over to the twinkling lights of St. Thomas in the distance. It is a magical spot at any time of day, whether for morning coffee, a mid-afternoon nap in the chaise lounge, a cocktail at sunset, for dinner al fresco high above town, or for just sitting listening to the surf late at night.

I love this property . The location is great. You don't have to drive to happy hour. Restaurants are within walking distance. The only negative Is having to leave this little piece of heaven. The kids loved the pool and beach. And they already were asking when we could return. This unit is especially close to the pool.

After sailing the BVI we spent 3 nights here and were so happy to be on land and have a lot of space! All three rooms having King size beds was great, the kitchen had everything you needed. It was very convenient to have beach chairs and a cooler for day trips to the amazing St. John beaches! The location can't be beat for walking into shops and restaurants in Cruz Bay. The deck couldn't be beat. We were out there each morning and afternoon. We also enjoyed quick dips in the pool. Overall we were very happy with our stay here.

This property was fabulous all around. Able to walk to restaurants and beach bars. Had everything needed for a beach vacation-chairs towels snorkels! Communication was great with the property manager! The view was just as it looks. Only problem was we had to leave!

I can’t say enough great things about our experience here. The unit had everything you could possibly need and more! From beach towels, chairs, and toys to games and every kitchen amenity you could hope for, it was perfect for our family (6 of us in total, with kids’ ages ranging from 5-17). The a/c worked great and was a consistent and welcome refuge at the end of a warm day in the sun, the pool was lovely, the furniture was comfortable, and the location was outstanding. We could put the young kids to bed and still have one parent go out to walk around with the older kids for ice cream, live music, or moonlit trips to the beach. It was just perfect - thank you to the hosts for having provided everything a family could need for a dream of a vacation!

View from porch was lovely. Pool and hot tub were pleasant BUT both contained lots of sand and I didn’t see anyone trying to remedy that. Adults took over pool in the evening including just standing in the center of it. Twin beds need to be replaced as one sagged tremendously. 2 kings were fine. Ample pool and bath towels were provided. Dressers tops needed lots of coasters which didn’t exist. AC worked very well.

We had an amazing time at this property! We were two families traveling together with two children (elementary age). The layout was great because the adults each had a room with a bathroom attached. The property is in a great location, walking distance from Cruz bay, Mongoose Junction, Baby’s Grocery, Dolphin Mart, etc. We had a vehicle, because we wanted to go to Lameshur this trip, but if you were staying at closer beaches the taxis are right there at Cruz Bay Landing. The one thing to note, per one of the other adults, is one of the mattresses was not comfortable (she could feel the springs) The two twins and the king bed were comfortable. We remedied the situation by putting down extra comforters and all was well. It was agreed at the end of the trip that we would def stay here again.

We just got back from the USVI and stayed here for almost a week in January 2023. We were traveling as a group, most of us having been to St. John at least 3 times. We have stayed in various parts of the island, but never in downtown Cruz Bay. This unit offered everything you needed. And I must say, the walking distance to downtown Cruz Bay was the biggest sell and takeaway from our trip this go around. You can walk to the ferry dock or any restaurant in downtown in 5 minutes or less. We were greeted right as we got off of the car ferry. (We rented a Jeep on St Thomas when we landed and brought it over on the car ferry). Highly recommend a car rental if you are looking to explore the island. The unit had a great view of Cruz Bay, was well equipped, especially for a group that does a lot of cooking. Highly recommend this place if you want easy access to downtown, especially at night and was all of the amenities you could possibly need (pool, hot tub, parking, linens, stocked kitchen, gym, laundry, etc.)

Our family stayed at Beautiful Morning and it exceeded our expectations! The condo was very clean, well stocked and perfectly situated, within walking distance to restaurants, shopping and the ferry dock. The pool and fitness center were also extremely clean and well maintained. The grounds are also beautifully manicured. As a bonus, we had amazing sunset views from the balcony. We also enjoyed the beach just across the street! We will definitely return and I highly recommend Beautiful Morning!

Loved the location and the property. Our 2nd time at Grand bay and first time in this unit. Loved everything about it. Only negative was, we had communicated that we needed the bed in the 3rd bedroom split into 2 twins, and it was set up as a queen. The first night, one of the two slept on the pull out in the living room, and just ended up staying out there for the week.

I've never left a poor review before, but felt compelled to save others from the trouble & disappointment we experienced. I even reached out to owner before writing this review to give her a chance to respond and work this out privately, but her reply indicates a disappointing lack of care or acceptance of any responsibility. This unit's listing said it had wi-fi, and all other numerous Grande Bay units we've ever rented had reliable wi-fi, so we booked and my husband planned to work remotely while enjoying STJ. The wi-fi connection was poor on Mon&Tues, but my husband tried to work through it hoping it was just a temporary glitch that we know can happen on STJ (we've been going to STJ for 45 years). By Wed, it was clear this was a constant problem w/unit and he was unable to work bc his phone calls & zoom kept getting disconnected/frozen. My husband started looking at flights home. I contacted the property manager on Wed, but he said there was nothing he could do. I then spoke to the front desk manager at Grande Bay and express it was urgent because my husband was looking to fly home because of this problem. The manager said that there were often problems with this building because of the location of routers when it was built, so this was a known problem. We didn't receive any follow-up or hear back from GB manager or maintenance, so my husband flew home early Thur morning. Ironically, someone from maintenance came to the condo on FRIDAY AFTERNOON to address the problem, just 18 hours before we were to check out and the day after my husband had already left. We paid a significantly high rate per night for this unit. When you only rent a place for a week, taking 2 days to fix a problem is unreasonable. When I wrote to the owner to address this privately after we got home, she complained I took 2 weeks to contact her, it was unreasonable to expect a quick fix, and essentially blamed GB since the unit's wi-fi was part of their HOA fees. There are things an owner can do to strengthen their wi-fi signal, and it's between the owner & GB if they aren't getting the benefit of their HOA fees. But, I rented from the owner so it's ultimately her responsibility for what she advertised. She offered no accommodation for our troubles. Bottom line: don't rent this unit if you want reliable wi-fi, and the owner doesn't seem to care or accept responsibility if guest had a bad expereince. Unit could also use overall updating, too.

Our group had never been to the island, but the location was awesome!! We walked to the trails to the beach, to the restaurants and bars, to the ferry, to the shops, etc. The check in process was easy and we were pleasantly surprised at all of the gear in the condo - cooler, beach towels, footballs, beach chairs, etc. The condo also had a washer and dryer with laundry supplies already there. Very easy to just relax.
