The views were outstanding. The pool was a bonus. The villa was very nice and we all liked the ambience. The air conditioning was much appreciated The beds were comfortable (we each went around finding the bed we liked the best). Our only comments: oven didn't work, some doors rub on the floors and wouldn't close, the rugs were very slippery over the tiles, more safety strips would be nice in the showers. We would stay consider staying again if these concerns were fixed.

Cloud Nine is everything we expected and more! The view is breathtaking - birds, flowers, and nature at every corner. The house is so cozy, comfortable, and inviting. We enjoyed our morning coffee and afternoon happy hours overlooking Cruz Bay. The beaches are close by and offer the best snorkeling in the Caribbean. Cloud Nine host, Linda, greets you with a wealth of information and kindness. We will be back!!!!

Overall experience was excellent. Location is amazing and views are stunning. Wonderful vacation for our family of 5. House has a ton of space to spread out but we spent most of our family time on the expansive deck, in the pool, or in the hot tub. House has everything you need for cooking in and is very close to Shambles and Windmill bar if you want to go somewhere close for dinner. Cruz Bay and Starfish market are roughly 10 minutes away and it is 15 minutes to Colombo’s if you want a morning smoothie. Sunset from the deck is amazing and views of St Thomas and the nighttime sky are spectacular. We feel very fortunate to have stayed in such a wonderful place as a family. Linda and her family were very helpful from the check in process through our checkout. We hope to return to St John in the near future and will definitely be staying at Cloud 9.

We had a great time! We have been to St. John many times before and know the island well. Cloud Nine was precisely as advertised. The pool and hot tub were clean and worked well. The kitchen, living room and bedrooms were all great and well-appointed. And best of all, the view was breath-taking, most of all at sunset! The house served as a perfect oasis at the end of a long day in nature. The only drawback is the location. It is a 10-20 minute drive to the closest good beaches. But that fact was reflected in the reasonable rental rate. Highly recommended!

Communication was excellent with Linda and Ang, before, during, and after our stay. My husband and I and 3 adult children stayed, and had plenty of room and privacy when needed. The home was stocked with everything needed for our stay… we only had to get groceries! Thanks for a memorable stay in your beautiful home!

My wife and I could not have found a more perfect place for us to stay at while visiting St John again. What a completely comfortable and cozy home Cloud 9 is with everything we needed for a wonderful stay. Lazy villa days were topped off with that wonderful view to the west and floating in the pool. The hot tub at dark with shooting stars above got us ready for the cool and comfortable bedrooms for sleep. Adding a thicker topper to the beds would be the only recommendation we could make. A nice big Roku TV helped us keep track of Hurricane Lee brewing but that's the only time we really spent in the comfortable main house. When we did venture into town it was really only a short drive away and even venturing to Colombo's felt close, so what a perfect location. The house and pool were very clean when we checked in and the communication prior to check-in and during our stay was excellent. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed and we took advantage of both refrigerators. The privacy and the quiet of the area made us feel that we often had the whole island to ourselves. We are hoping to make it back soon as our entire trip was made immensely more enjoyable by having a wonderful villa to come back to.

Amazing view of sunsets. Really nice pool. Well equipped with everything you’ll need. Very large layout and comfortable beds. Gifft hill is a great central location with easy access to town, beaches, and East End. Linda is an excellent host and a good person. We’re going back!

Here’s the highlights: super clean, we appreciated having laundry soap with the washer and dryer, loved having two full-size refrigerators so we could designate one as a beverage refrigerator, the view was wonderful, it’s extremely high up, which gives you spectacular views, but also comes with a spectacular drive to get there. The beds were comfortable, loved having extra pillows and blankets. The house came with a box fan, which was a game changer for my husband. Overall, just delightful.

Linda was great and quickly responded to the few questions we had. The information provided in advance was very helpful as well although this was our 4th visit to St. John. The location is excellent as well the views. Great sunsets every evening. This home worked out great for us and our 3 children in terms of the sleeping arrangements. This is an older home, so keep that in mind in terms of expectations. Everything worked as it should - a few recommendations we'd make are a new microwave as the current one is quite rusted inside. The water temp was difficult to adjust in the master bath shower. The hot tub has limited controls, takes a long time to warm up, and the cover is a challenge to remove and put back. There is a bright light on the AC units, so if you need total darkness to sleep in, you might want to bring a sleep mask. We found the access to the home very easy with multiple parking options (you are not fighting any kind of steep driveway). Overall we had a fantastic trip and would highly recommend this home!

This house has the BEST views you could ever imagine. It's well equipped for cooking, and relaxing. The host is available and responds to questions quickly. She is very knowledgeable about the island too. Clean and relaxing. We all loved it!

We really enjoyed our stay at Cloud 9! The view from the deck was absolutely breathtaking especially the sunsets! The Villa was very clean and had everything we needed available to us. We were close to town and to the beaches. Linda went above and beyond to make our stay there enjoyable even going as far as to give me a ride to meet my friends on the other side of the island. We will definitely be back!

What a great villa on St. John. The view is incredible and feels very private. The property was a very comfortable stay for my family. It is just far enough out of Cruz Bay to feel very private and quiet, but a short drive to town and easy access to anywhere on island (jeep/car required). Everything you will need is provided including nice beach chairs, towels etc. The hosts are very helpful and responsive and live on island. Five-star experience.

Our family of four spent Spring Break at Cloud Nine. We were blown away by the spectacular views when we walked in. The pictures do not do it justice! The layout was great for our family. The house was clean and kitchen was well equipped for cooking meals. We used Landlubber Logistics to have groceries delivered in advance which was convenient after a long day of traveling. All the beaches are a short drive away (15-25 min max) and the we enjoyed the pool in afternoons. We loved Shambles (5 min away) for dinner and ate there a couple of times during our trip. We would not hesitate to stay at Cloud Nine again!

Our family Christmas trip to St John was perfect in every way, and our stay at aptly named Cloud Nine was an ideal place for our family of 8 to enjoy the pleasures of St. John. Linda was so helpful and generous with providing lots of information and answering any question promptly. This was our first family trip since the pandemic began, and Cloud Nine on St John provided a gorgeous, safe environment for our family to come together to visit, snorkel, hike, laugh in the sunshine, and relax. Had an amazing time at this villa. Everything was exactly as advertised plus more. The owners really thought of everything at the villa to make the most of your St. John vacation. Our host Kim made us feel right at home immediately with perfect restaurant recommendations and a friendly helpful attitude. The property was immaculate. The layout was ideal for parents with teenagers- bedroom separate from the kitchen and living room allowed the old man (me) to go to bed and get up early while the rest of crew stayed up late and slept in. Neighborhood restaurants are excellent. Close to everything you want and need in Cruz bay but just far enough away from it all to feel like you had the island to yourself. We’ve been to the island many times over the years staying at the old Maho Bay, Concordia and many different homes and villas- this location is our favorite- clean, convenient, reasonably priced with amazing views. Couldn’t ask for anything more. Thank you so much for your kind hospitality.
