About this cottage rental
This charming beach cottage was completely rebuilt ten years ago. Enter the front gate and you are on deck with views of the ocean. Built in benches provide ample seating for outside dining or just relaxing. A beautifully landscaped yard is fenced in for children's safety.
The ground level of this home features a great room with cathedral ceilings, a beautiful kitchen with pantry, and a master suite with a bathroom with a large shower with glass tile accents.
The upstairs is private master suite with ocean views and a bathroom with tub/shower combination.
The basement is ideal for a children or teen age suite. It has new wood floors. There are 2 twin beds and a new queen bed for sleeping. A huge TV , toys games, and books are provided. There is a third bathroom with a shower off this room. A washer and dryer are also located downstairs.
The description says the home sleeps 6 but it is best suited for 2 or 4 adults and up to 2-4 children. The children's suite is on the lower level and has twin beds and a queen size bed. The 2 master suites provide comfortable king size beds.

We have stayed here before and were so happy that it was available to stay there again. The house is great and so lovely. Love to sit on the porch. The host is very responsive. All in all, another great stay! We look forward to staying here again next year!

This house is one block from the beach, allowing multiple trips per day to the water. Boardwalk and downtown are easy access minutes away. This house is perfect for couples or families. It feels like a home. Clean, well appointed with everything you need, and a great, happy vibe!

For the past 8 years we have rented this wonderful beach house at Twin Lakes. Perfect location in the harbor within walking distance to restaurants and Twin Lakes beach with a little longer walk to Seabright beach. If you have kids or grandkids, they will be thrilled with the space downstairs. Our grandkids referred to it as their apartment, complete with bathroom and huge TV. We especially love the deck with built in bench. It’s a wonderful spot to sit in the morning with a cup of coffee and watch the waves breaking on the beach or late afternoon with a glass of wine watching the sailboat regatta. Our grandkids are already planning next year’s trip!

Marie’s place was perfect. Clean and well stocked with all our needs. Comfortable home with plenty of space.
The beach was literally a 2 minute walk and the views of the ocean are amazing. Loved, loved our stay.

I just wanted to say that the property and the host are absolutely amazing!!! They helped make my daughter's birthday one of the best she has ever had! The property is beautiful and the proximity to everything is perfect! The host is so nice and quickly respond to any inquiries you may have. Love this place and would definitely go back!

We had a wonderful 3 day weekend celebrating my birthday and Mother’s Day. The house was exactly how it was described online. The location was absolutely perfect, just a 2 minute walk to the beach with views from the front deck. The house was fully stocked with everything you’d need. There were several restaurants in walking distance and a great coffee place too. I walked my dog at the beach every morning and even did yoga on the beach. There were two parking spots which is always a bonus in a beach community. We loved the house and can’t wait to stay here again. Thank you Marie.

Stayed here during UCSC spring break and it was very convenient. Quick drives to campus, boardwalk, Capitola, downtown. One and a half blocks to beach. Beach break was pretty good for bodyboarding. Marina and restaurants were walkable. Place to rent kayaks nearby. The house had plenty of beach stuff too. WIFI good, no complaints from kids. Kitchen had everything we needed to cook at home if we wanted. Beds were super comfortable. Overall a nice place to stay in the area.

Always have an amazing time at this beach cottage. House is well equipped with everything you'll need for some quality time with your family. Restaurants nearby, steps from a pet friendly beach, and plenty of great biking trails right outside your door. Owner is a pleasure to work with. A true gem in Santa Cruz.

Took a long weekend with friends over Thanksgiving and this was the perfect house for it. Beautiful views of the beach just from the porch but incredibly close so we could stroll down to the beach to walk the dogs and watch the sunset. If you enjoy walking, the house is actually within walking distance of a lot of stuff!

The location was perfect, the attractions many and the owners very accommodating. The home was the perfect venue for what became for us, a very pleasurable stay. Another amazing experience at this wonderful beach home. Just steps from dog-friendly Twin Lakes beach, Crows Nest restaurant, and a small neighborhood Japanese store which has the best take out sushi.
We loved enjoying a cocktail on the deck, grabbing soft serve ice cream at Crows Nest beach market, and listening to the ocean waves from our bedroom. The owner is very responsive to any inquiry, and truly makes you feel welcome. Can't wait to return!

We loved our stay in this charming home away from home beach house! Well appointed kitchen amenities, bath towels are wonderful, and all the comforts of home are at your fingertips in this home.
We loved sipping coffee in the morning on the deck with views of the beach, happy hour on the beach...then back to the deck. With just a quick walk on the beach, we found ourselves at the Crows Nest a few times, and the kids loved their beach time, shopping at the Crows Nest Market, and of course the Beach Boardwalk!
This home was perfect for our dog with a fenced yard and a sunny deck to watch all the birds and beach goers.
We found so many places and things to do, we are excited to return sometime soon! We will share this home connection with friends who also love visiting beautiful Santa Cruz!

The home was clean and well stocked. There were no ant or bug issues. The location is 5 homes away from the beach, and easy walking distance to the beach, restaurants, coffee shop, and market. There are 3 floors each with ocean views and a TV. It is very private since, at the time of this writing, there are no neighbors next to or behind the property. There is a small backyard and a great front porch with a view of the beach and ocean. It is well stocked with kitchen items, games, books, ocean toys and boogyboards, and towels. This was our second visit and we will go again many times.

This house was perfect for us- two families with elementary aged kids. The house is set up perfectly with the adult bedrooms upstairs and a kid bunk room downstairs. The location was AMAZING! 3 minute walk to the beach and less than 10 minute walk to the marina that has a coffee shop, a few restaurants and a a market that sells soft serve ice cream for the kids and drinks for the adults. Overall wonderful stay!

My family was visiting and we needed an « extension » to our house during their stay. The house is perfectly located for a very relaxing time by the beach. There’s nothing like waking up in the morning and walking to the beach with your first cup of coffee.
There are two bedrooms that give you the full ocean sound experience. The third bedroom doesn’t have windows and is more utilitarian.
The house is very well equipped. My family was very comfortable during their stay.
Marie was very helpful and quick with all questions during the reservation process.
I would definitely stay there again!

We love staying here! The house is comfortable and fits our needs perfectly. The front deck is our favorite spot to sit offering a view of the beach and the neighborhood. The house is ideally located with Twin Lakes Beach just a block away, the harbor a few blocks and Seabright Beach just under a mile away—an easy, beautiful walk along the harbor.

We loved our stay in Santa Cruz. The house was very accommodating for 4 adults and 6,5, and two 2 yr olds. Walking to the beach was a breeze and the close proximity was super helpful whenever we forgot something. The kitchen was well supplied and had plenty of seating. Overall, we had an awesome time and Marie was wonderful to work with.

Perfect for a short stay in Santa Cruz. Home is clean with a great front deck, steps from the beach, and stocked full of everything you'll need for a vacation...full kitchen, BBQ, and boogie boards for the kids. Owner is always happy to answer any questions. Can't wait to return.

We had a great time the place was a short distance from the beach and allowed for short walks between BIG meals. We were 4 adults. 1 couple, 2 singles and 2 small dogs.
There were plenty of bath rooms. For sure we wil be back.

The house is conveniently located, close to Twin Lakes Beach and easy to get around town. There was adequate parking. The house had plenty of room for two couples and our kiddos to relax, play, dine, etc. We enjoyed sitting on the front balcony and back patio, walking to the beach and gathering in the living area. The beds were comfortable and included high quality linens. The kitchen and bathrooms were newly remodled and well appointed. I would love to stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay in this adorable beach house. It was plenty big for 2 adults and 4 teens. It was so nice to have three bathrooms and the kitchen was stocked very well. We enjoyed walks to the beach and lighthouse. The host always responded quickly to any questions we had and there was a beautiful boutique of flowers when we checked in. We would love to visit again during warmer months.
