About this house rental
Amazing location and views, this house captures the very essence of Santa Cruz. Walk to boardwalk, Seabright beach, the wharf, the yacht harbor, downtown Seabright and its variety of restaurants,......there are so many choices, you may choose not to drive during your entire stay.....And with our open floor plan, large windows, huge deck, and amazing views, you may choose not to even leave the house. This house is perfect for a family retreat. The 35 foot long deck offers amazing views, a BBQ, and tables and chairs for outdoor dining. The dining room/great room has a large table with seating for 8 but can easily hold 10. A large supply of games and puzzles offers more family fun time around the table. Walk downstairs to a huge 'hangout' room that boasts a large flat screen TV with satellite and DVD. There is a love seat, easy chair, sofa/sleeper, and papazan chair for comfortable seating. There are also extra sleeping mats and bean bag chairs in the closets. The master bedroom offers a queen bed, large flat screen with Dish TV and DVR, and a magnificent view. Bedroom 2 offers a queen bed, and bedroom 3 has a king bed and Dish TV. This house is ideally set up to be shared by two families. With 3 bedrooms and baths, each couple can have their own bedroom, while the kids can pull out the sofa sleeper, throw down some of the provided floor mats, and have a sleep-over in the family room. For your enjoyment we also provide 2 beach cruisers, a beach umbrella, beach chairs, boogie boards, and an ice chest. For added convenience and comfort we supply all towels and linens, toilet paper and paper towels. Come fall in love with our house as so many others have done. Our overall stay was really nice. Would most likely book again.

Overall, we really enjoyed our stay here! The Location was fantastic as it was close to everything (seriously, like a 10 minute bike ride or 5 minute drive to anything). The deck had a great view of the river and the space itself was good for our group! The stroller and sand toys were also very helpful for us as our kids loved the beach!
The issues:
there a few ants in the kitchen, the main level bathroom, and a large number of them in the garage. They were likely being driven in by the rain, but we recommend the pest issues get resolved by the owner.
The beds and pillows were not of great quality (at least for our liking). They were way to soft and seemed very old and worn out. Some of this is opinion but in general they seemed of low quality.
Overall, the stay was great and this place did provide what we wanted for our stay, albeit with a couple minor issues.

We enjoyed our short stay at this lovely house. It is located within walking distance to the beach. The house is spacious with 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, 2 living areas, and a huge dining table. Lauren was really thoughtful and a pleasure to work with. We will definitely come back!

We had 6 adults and a child of 11years old. However, our car had a malfunction on Sunday mornings, so my son and I weren't able to go to the places that we planned to get to! Fortunately, we brought our own bikes, so were able to take a short ride. Then we did get the car looked at and fixed on Monday, but it took some time. We rode the bus with the rest of the family to Natural Bridges with our bikes. They took the bus back, while we, with my granddaughter, rode back to the house. My son went to pick up the car! A limited visit, but thankfully still had a good time!

The house was just right for a girlfriends’ visit to Santa Cruz. The size, space and number of bedrooms and bathrooms were just what we were looking for. We loved sitting on the deck enjoying the view in the mornings and afternoons and were happy to be able to walk to good restaurants.
Lauren was a responsive host when we had a question about the heating and the house was clean with everything we needed for our vacation.
We would definitely rent this house again!

The house was well equipped and had plenty of room for our group. The location was good as it seemed we were never far away from where we wanted to go in the area. Also a great view from the big deck!

We absolutely loved this place. The owner was very responsive and we enjoyed our long weekend here. VERY close to the boardwalk (we could hear the happy screams from the roller coaster in the afternoon - it was a joyful sound) but also within walking distance to the beach. It was perfect for 4 long time friends to have a getaway and reconnect. I'm hoping to stay again in the future.

the house is very nice and was perfect for our group. we enjoyed the large living/dining room. the kitchen needs updating, but we we supplied with everything we needed. the sunsets were beautiful.

Perfect house in the perfect area! Close to sooooo much that’s within walking distance. House is very well equipped from the kitchen to the beach equipment. Owner is quick to respond to any questions! Beautiful breeze in the evenings to keep the house cool although there is a portable AC unit upstairs. The basement stays cool all day. Beds are comfortable. Area is quiet. Definitely on our list to stay again when visiting the area.

Once again we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Buena Vista beach house. It is perfect whether you want to be super busy or just relax. Drinking coffee out on the deck was a lively morning routine, plus the bike ride up to the lighthouse and down to Capitola was amazing-thanks for the bikes!
Easy walk to beach and the boardwalk-the kids loved it! I’m ready to book again for next year!

Our family trip to Santa Cruz was amazing! The home is a very close walk to the boardwalk which our grandsons loved! They, also, used the lower level of the home as their space. The deck off the upper level was amazing and had a great view of fireworks! It was , also, a short walk to the beach.
The home was very clean and the checkin and checkout process was very easy. We would definitely rent this home again.

Several family members gathered here from out of State for a week before going to Ben Lomond for a wedding. There was plenty of room. The location is great and the large deck with a view of the river is wonderful. It’s easy to get around from this location. The owner was easy to communicate with, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

This is our second visit to this property. Walk it out.
Walk to the local mini market, bar, salt float, 2 beaches, park, river walk, breakfast spots, burgers, pizza place, resturaunt, coffee spot and much more. The streets are narrow and parking can be tricky in some spots. If your reasonalbly healthy it's good short excursions. Walking from the house to the end of the Peir on the otherside of the boardwalk takes about 26 minutes at a leisurly pace. Most the stores and eats I mentioned are only 5-8 min away walking. Dark at night so walk carfully.

We wanted a weekend where we could stay and relax and enjoy a view. Even though it rained we still had a great time and spotted seals, a dolphin and a bald eagle from the deck. We made good use of the many games available to help pass the time. We'd love to come back when we could use the boogie boards and bikes! Lauren is a great host and answered all our questions promptly.

This house has just about everything you could ask for. Extremely well stocked kitchen, tons of board games, garage full of beach toys, stroller, ice chest, two cruiser bikes, etc. Large deck with loungers, table, chairs, and grill. Lower patio area with more chairs and fire pit. Short walk to shops, restaurants, beach and boardwalk. It’s simply a great place for a family vacation!

This was an ideal rental unit. It is super clean and spacious. Both the upper deck and back patio are user friendly. Lots of TV's if you have people with opposite schedules (or kids who would want their own space). The neighborhood feels really safe and the walk to the boardwalk is a dream. I went for a high school reunion of my gang of girls. We are now 60 and everyone loved it.

We had a great time in Lauren's property! The location was very convenient; we were easily able to walk to the boardwalk during the day and restaurants at night. The house was clean and comfortable and exactly as described and pictured. Lauren was easy to communicate with. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay in Santa Cruz and look forward to staying here again in the future!.
