MY TV didn’t work, but I never watch TV anyway so I didn’t ask them to check it out, my mistake.

A really wonderful Riad - certainly the best stay of our entire Morocco trip and perhaps one of the nicest places we've ever stayed on any trip. The property is beautiful and spacious, quiet, well maintained and comfortable - really a wonderful place to just relax and enjoy the surroundings. The rooms have quality and character and have been decorated with a great deal of attention to detail. Service was absolutely first-rate throughout - attentive, respectful and professional. All of the staff were great, and especially exceptional was Abdul, who worked tirelessly in the evenings to ensure that everyone was well taken care of. We had two dinners here and both were excellent - easily the best meals we had while in Morocco.
Air conditioning unit in our room was a little loud and was unfortunately placed directly above the bed. Of note, we were assigned a different room than the one that we thought we have reserved based on pictures shown - not sure if this was an issue with the property or with Booking.com - but it didn't matter in our case as the room we ended up with was equally beautiful.

Room was great, food excellent. The hosts were very welcoming - will recommend to friends and family.
Wish there was a hot water arrangement in room - felt guilty asking for hot water for coffee at 6 AM but were served with a smile - Thanks

Stunning, very nice, and wonderful all around!

Apart from delicious breakfast, what we liked was exceptional hosting as the staff there Mr. Abdullatif , Mr. Mohammed and Mr. Yassine were very much at your service to make your stay as much comfortable as possible. Abdullatif and Mohammed went above and beyond in providing any sort of help or answering queries which you have. The manager Miss Elodie is always greeting and checking up with guests during breakfast time.
If you are visiting in cold months be sure to ask for extra blankets as the rooms are big so the heating wasn't adequate.

We absolutely loved the 3 nights we spent at Ryad Salama, from the 20/12 till 23/12/23. We are a family of 3 and our daughter could stay in the same room but in her isolated space. We were on the top floor with our private terrace overlooking the beautiful garden. Very calm and also great to be able to catch some light in the afternoon during the months of winter. In December, nights get cold (around 10c) so the reverse cycle air con was quite handy and we turned it on in the evening and turned it off when we went to bed. We all slept so well as this place is so calm.
We also loved our breakfast, which always came with fresh fruits, and so well presented.
The staff, from manager to cleaning team were extremely friendly and helpful.
The first day we arrived we asked the Ryad to organise a guided tour for the 3 of us in the afternoon. For 35 Euros, the very friendly and knowledgeable guide, Ahmed, took us all around the old city for over 5 hours. I think it is a great way to discover a city especially as this was our first day in Morocco.
We did not go to Meknes, as we were told a lot of works are going on at the moment, but rather walked from the ryad to the 'newer'city around the Jewish quarter and roal palace, through the gardens.

Ryad Salama is a surprisingly beautiful property inside Madina. Rooms are individually curated. Staff made us feel at home. Breakfast is just awesome and very welcoming.
Rooms are every well designed to provide great experience inside Madina.

nice garden, feeling comfy
the driver supposed to show up in the morning did not come, could make us impossible to catch train; the city guide is French speaking and very pool English and the price is changing all the time; all these two are arranged by hotel.

The ryad is fantastic, very nice. The staff was very helpful.

Arriving at Ryad Salama was like walking into a magical oasis! We stayed for four nights and had a delightful stay. The room was beautiful and very comfortable. Breakfasts in the courtyard were a lovely way to start the day and we also had dinner one evening which was excellent. All of the staff were kind and attentive. Particular thanks to Elodie, the Manager, who was warm, welcoming and very helpful. She assisted us with our airport transfer prior to arrival and then also with other bookings and transportation during our visit. We felt very well looked after.
Nothing.

the property was Ian a good location of the Medina.
the staff was not helpful when it came to recommendations and getting us a tour guide. our bath wouldn’t drain and there were spider webs.

Incredible Ryad in Fes. In the heart of the medina, with an amazing courtyard that allows you to get away from the hectic crowds of the medina.
The staff is amazing and the breakfast are the best we've had in Morrocco!

The pool and facilities are at your disposal at all times, staff was helpful and professional, and mostly the holiday feeling you get when stepping foot into this beautiful riad.

A beautiful oasis inside the buzy medina. An amazing room, with great food and service, and a helpfull and friendly staff that took care with our arrival and departure to the airport. Definitely recommended.
Only the regret for not having booked more days at Fez and at the ryad. But we are looking to come back soon.

I had a wonderful stay at Ryad Sylama, thanks to.the attentiveness, friendliness and kindness of Iolanda, Mohamed and Yunus, and the other staff.
My suite was beautiful and so comfortable with a nice bathroom and wonderful aircon. The courtyard with pool is amazing and the birdsong there is incredible. The breakfasts were wonderful too. I would.definitely return there. I had a great massage there too.
Nothing. It was wonderful. I would just have loved some hard soap in the bathroom, but that's a personal preference.

Everything about this Ryad was beautiful! From the courtyard, to the room, to the staff it really felt like an oasis paradise in the middle of the medina madness.
Nothing to fault in our eyes

I would like to say firstly the owner of the ryad and the staffs were amazing. They are all very friendly, helpful, hospitality and always smile on their face. The hotel is very quite, comfortable, nice and clean. Big rooms. Definitely recommended.

We really enjoyed our peaceful stay in Ryad Salama. You wake up to the sound of the birds in the trees. The breakfast was delicious. Iolanda gave us lots of useful tips. We would highly recommend Iolanda’s place to anyone looking for an authentic and comfortable stay in Fes.

The riad courtyard was beautifully landscaped in the center of the medina. The rooms were perfectly designed with comfortable beds, indoor and outdoor seating, storage, spacious, good lighting, very traditional. Food was tasty and well-prepared. Iolande and Mohammed were the perfect hosts for our stay, catering to all our needs. It was very quiet at night and the temperature in the rooms was perfect. Location was great for exploring the medina.
4.8
In short, I would highly recommend the Ryad Salama.
Besides the fact that the medina of Fes is loud and busy, the Ryad creates the opportunity to relax. We absolutely loved to sit in the garden or on the balcony of the room and drink tea.
Moreover, the staff was not only polite and friendly but also fulfilled all our wishes. Starting with the first contact via mail, the interaction was open and direct. Questions were also answered with pleasure.
In conclusion, we would highly recommend the Ryad Salama and it’s staff.

The service was excellent: Lolanda (the General Manager) with arrival familiarization, arranging of private cars for our day trip to Chefchaouen, excursion to Volubilis, Moulay Idris and Meknes, airport transfer back to Casablanca, at a reasonable tariff. She was so thoughtful about our early(7AM) departure to the airport , she had packed breakfast for us and our driver, amazing. The other staff Khaleef, Younes, Mohamed and the housekeeping made our stay memorable. The location inside the Medina Fez el bali , between Talaa L'kebira and Talaa Sghira is excellent to walk through different shops and experiences.
The mosaic and stained glass in the Riad is excellent and going up to the terrace both in the morning and late night gives you views of Fez. The advent of spring while we were visiting and the various plants in the Riad portico wakes you in the morning with the chirps of birds , before the call to prayer from the mosque...which is an experience in itself.
The location of the Riad is smack-dab in the Medina, but the alleys leading you there (out of control of the Riad) are something you need to be ready for, especially the smells. It is a part of the experience , reader be aware. It is not a negative, just be aware.
