A very nice place with great staff and wonderful guests!
My wife and I enjoyed the private room and air conditioning. It was clean, the bed was comfortable, the staff was receptive to our needs, and we had a pleasant time!
The only thing that could improve was that we didn't have hot water for the first part of our stay, so it was luke warm -- however, due to the heat, it wasn't bad.

Go there if you are lonesome, but not for the accomodation
It was downtown and you can park the car three houses further away in a parkinglot.
The entrance is shabby, the building is old, the pool dirty, the neighborhood is at the edge, the description of everything is far away from reality. Everything is small, little, old, outdated. The path from the entrance on the frontside until the outdated rooms in the back, that stone path is the only spare room on the hole premise. Amsterdam smell because of smokers next to the pool, really nothing good to tell about. We were some other nights in beautiful Merida hotels for half the price. After we had refused the given rooms (Kingsize?) and had left the hostel I complained to the manager; he gave me a voucher for anothervtime. No way Jose!

Really nice Hostel with activities and everything you need:)
I really enjoyed my stay in this Che Hostel! I traveled solo and it was easy meeting new people. If you don’t feel like company, there is enough space also in the shade to relax, wifi was always very good. The pool area is really nice, one day i just stayed in the hammocks:) the Walking Tour with Alexis was amazing, he showed us local markets and local delicious food places. Also the cenotes tour was super, 3 cenotes and lunch together:) The staff is really helpful and nice, thank you Alexis for the wonderful activities, Erick, Wren, Jess Margaux thank you for the delicious breakfast and good Drinks:) Thank you Esther, Maggie, Angie, Erik, Diego, Carlos, Eduard, Alejandro for keeping the hostel clean and well maintained! And finally thanks Katy, Luis, Emma, Mauricio for the good infos and warm welcome at the reception. Hopefully see you soon:)

i had a good visit for 5 nights and while it was more expensive than some other hostels, it was still a good value.
The room was very large, as was the bath. The pool area had a breeze and the trees provided a good shade most of the day. The staff was very energetic and helpful. The guests were a good international mix of interesting people.
i had to remind the staff to turn on the AC every night. A minor annoyance.

Great social base to explore Mérida
Great base for exploring Mérida. A very social vibe without being a hugely party hostel. Cool organized tours by the hostel including cenote day, beach sunset, etc. Lots to eat and do within walking distance. Maybe the most comfortable beds of any hostel I've ever been at. The pool is huge and had great water temperature.
They sell beer, but don't have a proper bar area. The AC hours are pretty stingy (10-8, if I recall correctly) and rooms can be quite hot if you want an afternoon siesta (which you will because Mérida is insanely hot). There's no real indoor common area, and the areas by the pool can be hot and have lots of mosquitos--a fan in the side table area near the pool would be very nice. They booked multiple groups of schoolchildren, which was somewhat bizarre for a hostel chain known as party hostels. The kids could be loud in the mornings when adult guests wanted to relax by the pool.

Che is a Yay
The location was a 5 minute wall from the Plaza Grande and other little parks in the area as well as local restaurants and bars. It's also a close walk to Paseo de Montejo. The building is inconspicuous but once you enter its huge and so pretty! The pool is so necessary for the Merida heat! I stayed in one of the suite rooms and it was beautiful. The room overlooked the trees in the courtyard and it feels very tropical. The room has a screen door as well so you can have your door open and let in fresh air if you're spending time in the room ( I only did this when it poured one day). The room isn't huge but well layed out and it was the exact size you need if you're getting your own room at a hostel without it feeling like you were at a hostel. The bathroom/shower was super clean and had nice products available for use. It was quiet as well which is what I needed because I had a work presentation to do one of the days I was there. The staff was lovely. Very friendly and helpful in answering any questions I had. I was busy most of the time there but the hostel did offer a wide range of daily activities for guests to participate in and had a coordinated whatsapp chat to keep people connected. It wasn't forced but it was nice to know what was going on while staying at Che. It may seem a little pricier than other hostels but if you could plan ahead and make it work I would highly recommend staying here!

Lovely place. Do stay.
Pitch perfect customer service. Friendly, relaxed atmosphere with great music as well as many social activities and day trip options. Beautiful, old colonial architecture with gardens, hammocks, tall, shady trees and a fantastic large pool, Private rooms and dorms available. There is a co-working space and a game room. You can cook in the kitchen if you like. Central location near Av. Montejo museums and posh shops, Sta. Lucia, Santiago Market, museums in the main plaza, the folk art museum etc.&
