Close to city centre and big rooms
Very noisy rooms you can hear everyone from the outside very well, something that looks like mold around the AC and the cleaners threw away some of our stuff what wasn’t meant to be thrown away. Also the pictures make it seem a little bit more modern and less outdated than it really is

Personnel was always paying close attention to my parents needs.
Availability for food / snacks / drinks were of good quality and a reasonable price.
Electricity was always on regardless of the issues for city outages.
Pool and parking always clean and well illuminated.

This photo must have been taken some years ago. Its looking quite dilapidated now and the pool was green for the first days. Appears it get special treatment for weekend visitors
Noisy as the passage outside the downstairs rooms is like an echo chamber and everything happening in reception. The kitchen or pool area is amplified.

it was a good location and we were able to park the car securely.
The room was filthy. There were three beds in the room, all three were stained. the bed linen was stained, as were the blankets and so was the uncovered mattresses on the third bed. The safe was broken and so was the door security latch. there was also a hole punched into the room door. the lighting was awful too, extremely bright and clinical.
We returned one afternoon and all our towels had been taken however none had been replaced and the room hadn’t been cleaned. The wifi was really bad too. It felt like a prison cell.
3.5
On East end of central Merida, but a good location: easy walking distance to sites north, south, and west
WiFi was slow the first 2 days, but was fine for the rest of my stay (maybe just bad luck?)

the staff is very nice and the property is not bad for the price, the pool is clean. there is a microwave and snacks in the lobby.
The main problem was the smell of mold in the the room. it is not a good convienent location for restaurants or shopping.
2.5
The location, the employees
The room not properly clean, out of maintainace, the bed linnen had hairs, the towels did not smell like laundry clean. There was garbage and the chambermaid trolley just in front of the room. We had booked more nights, but finally stayed just one and book another hotel.

On arrival, a massive dog came tearing through reception and jumped all over me. Not one member of staff came to help and just watched as he kept nipping at me. Bit ridiculous as you'd want your guest to be able to check in properly right?
My door room key didn't work one night which meant anyone could come into my room - but the front of house assured me that it wasn't a problem........not acceptable for anyone, regardless if as I was told : "there are security cameras" and "Yucatán is the safest place in mexico ". As I tried to lock the door from the inside for some form of security it then left me trapped inside and wouldn't open. I then had to call front desk to be let out....
Eventually the next day they found another room for me to move to.
This would not have been such an issue if this was offered as an alternative straight away rather than trying to play the issue down.

Pool well maintained nice and clean. location right around the corner from the main market,, room was clean and beds were excellent.
I didn't like that the smoking area was out back in the parking lot with no cover for the rain or a place to sit and relax.

Staff was surly. Wifi not available despite numerous requests. Finally, they switched my room so I could get wifi. Walls not soundproof and I could hear everything that happened in the lobby. One of the staff frequently sang in a deplorable off key voice. Would not stay here again.

Good AC, plenty of parking on site, clean, spacious room, nice pool, easy 15min walk to centre
