It was clean tidy and the room was very comfortable
The dinner wasn’t great in the Restaurant
3.5
The location was great room was large and clean. We stayed in the ships library room .
Dislikes a loud moaning sound constantly going all night . Sounds like a boiler. Reception closed at 5 .
Bar and restaurant closed at 8 not great as nothing else close to go to .unless you drive or get a cab .
4.5
setting, size of rooms, relaxed atmosphere
no aircon, but fan in room.

Lovely location, nice pub next door, nice area for a night time walk
was very happy when I walked into the room, until I noticed in the corner of the room was loads of little flies in the corner, the bathroom door did not lock when the door was shut, the bathroom door handle inside the bathroom was hanging off the door and also chair that was in the room looked like it’s been there for 100 years as was very very warn.

Breakfast was excellent. Staff were all super friendly and helpful: Hayley at swimming, Sue and Lisa on reception and Marianne our waitress.
Broken toilet sit - which was later fixed and horrible noise when you flushed the toilet.

Fabulous friendly staff
2.5
The room was good and clean. Staff were ok.
It just did not have the added value of a (hotel) like having papers delivered. Ordering food or drinks to the room. There was no telephone in the rooms and no one to help get internet.
There was no lounge to relax in.
Receptionist did not explain things, no information pack in room of facilities or services.
Food was limited and no roast dinner available on Easter sunday.

Room was excellent and the breakfast was first class
3.5
Room, breakfast, staff helpfulness, swimming pool
The restaurant and bar were not open, except for breakfast in the mornings and I felt that this should have been conveyed to us before booking and some money off should have been offered.

Very spacious, comfortable beds and staff are very welcoming. Thank you so much to the kitchen staff who were very kind to us
Everything
5.0
Everything was amazing! Check in was easy and the lovely lady on reception had put the heating on for us in our room so we were warm. They were all so accomodating to book us in for swimming. The room was amazing, very spacious large bed lots of pillows, the bathroom was also very big lovely waterfall shower and lots of soft fluffy towels.
The restaurant attached was also fantastic, good prices and all home made food and generous portions. Breakfast was also included in our stay, best bacon I've ever had! Lovely young chap in the restaurant so polite and attentive. Best stay ever I'm not sure why this place isn't rated higher. We can't wait to come back again. Thank you for giving us the relaxing getaway we were hoping for.
There was not one thing we didn't like.
3.0
The location
One of the big windows would not close properly so the room was very drafty.
Also, an extremely noisy toilet masserator in one of the others rooms woke us everytime they used their toilet throughout the night
2.5
Breakfast was fine but a poor interaction between hotel and “restaurant”
Reception closes at around 5pm and cooperation between hotel and pub was poor
4.0
Very good breakfast. Waiting staff very welcoming.

lovely spacious family room.
good location if want to be out on the river
a fair way from anywhere, limited facilities
3.5
Friendliness of the staff
Unfortunately there was a staff shortage that affected breakfast on the 1st day, and prevented any lunches or evening meals being served. The young lad on the 1st day and young lass on the 2nd day coped very well and were very pleasant and only too willing to help[.
We did find our room rather hot and strange that the bottom window opened right next to one of the beds, with background noise coming from machinery.
5.0
The room was nicely decorated, very clean and well furnished. The origami elephant towels were a novel touch. The food provisions in the restaurant was good value and of a good quality. I am likely to return in the future.
The room was a little bit warm overnight even though the radiator was not on. That is my only negative observation of what was otherwise very nice accommodation.
4.0
Excellent breakfast, good room size and temperature
Poor choice on dinner menu (& the soup option was gone on our 2nd night) No Merlot available either night.
3.5
The staff was excellent, especially the two barmen who couldn't have been more helpful.
The swimming pool was lovely, the room was pristine; clean, set out well and nicely decorated. The surroundings are gorgeous and tranquil.
Info when booking about the winter/off peak methods of booking the facilities would have been very useful. For example, we didn't know the pool had to be booked in advance in slots, and we didn't know the pub wouldn't be open all day or that you had to book for dinner.
Although the rooms were lovely, the noise was awful. I could hear the conversation of the people next door, and even heard one of them faffing around getting the shower to work. This meant I had terrible sleep for both nights as they were loud, but also the people frequenting the pub were loud too. Soundproofing of some sort would be hugely beneficial.

nothing

Room, " ships library" was brilliant.
Staff helpful
Views over boats and marshes.
