The location is good, walking distance from the station and near everything.
The room was very small, considering we paid over £500 for two nights without breakfast.
7.0
The staff was really nice and helpful. The lobby and the room looked beautiful, I liked the furnishings.
The breakfast was not bad, but it was not a proper hotel breakfast, quite limited. Considering the price of the stay there were a few annoying things: took long time to get warm water, no toilet brush, no liquid hand soap. I was freezing in the night although I changed the temperature to max, didn’t feel like the temperature increased at all. It would also be nice to have slippers and a bathrobe so you don’t freeze after showering.

Nice facilities, staff were friendly and helpful, bed was so comfy.

Lovely hotel! The room was very clean & comfortable. The staff were friendly and efficient. The location was excellent for the facilities and attractions in Oxford.
Prior to travelling to Oxford, the hotel messaged and advised that due no parking facilities and also to some roadworks in Botley Road, the best Park & Ride to use would be Seacourt.
We took the advice and were frustrated!
The bus took us a short way and then told us that due to the roadworks, we would have to get off and walk over the bridge, then wait for another bus!
We did this as we had no choice. But we had quite a bit of luggage. It wasn't great! What's more, by the time we'd got over the bridge, we were really not that far from the hotel, so we decided to just continue walking.
When we left on Sunday, we decided to get a taxi to avoid a similar journey. This proved to be a 20-minute detoured journey that cost us £20!
We also passed another P&R that would have been far closer in the circumstances!
All rather disappointing, waste of money and an inconvenience.
We did mention to the reception staff that they should update the website and messages so as not to recommend Seacourt. Hopefully, they have done it, and others don't have to endure the same inconvenience.

Great location and a nice clean. modern hotel.
I'm not a fan of instant coffee but accept there is trade-off between the cost of the room and the amenities provided,

Location is excellent, its easy to get to and its a very nice looking hotel! The staff are very friendly and helpful.
The bed is fairly uncomfortable and the air con makes a loud noice even if off and with the key still in the power slot by the door.
The housekeepers ignore a do not disturb sign before the check out window was over also.

The location was perfect for my purpose.
My room lock was broken and pillows were not so comfortable.

A modern well appointed hotel in a great location in central Oxford. The staff were friendly and helpful and the room was clean and well maintained. We did not eat there so can't comment on the food. Would definitely stay again if I needed to go to Oxford and would recommend for others
More comfortable seating in the room and a rubber mat for the shower. I am being picky

Here's the thing - page ONE of the booking.com website shows "Parking" - HOWEVER, in the small print it is actually parking off-site, and the charge for 24 hours is 39 GBP. The parking was the ONLY reason I booked this hotel, and the next hour after arrival was going back and forth between booking.com and the hotel itself - pointless. Can I cancel? Speak to Booking.com ... spoke to Booking.com - speak to the hotel!
Marriott (after much pushing) tried their best, but did admit it wasn't the first time and "they had spoken to booking.com to change the website, so they KNOW it's a problem.
The hotel itself is soulless and with no views - but it is clean and worth about half the price they are charging. I am not a first time traveller - I hold top status with a number of groups and travel extensively for business so the mistake of not reading the small print is hardly a rookie error.

The staff were very friendly upon my arrival. The hotel is based in a great location, as it is next to lots of restaurants and bars that are within walking distance. Checking in and out was very quick and easy.
I found the cleanliness of the room to be very poor. In my bathroom bin, there was rubbish leftover from the last guest that stayed in the room. The guest that stayed in the room before also left two books in there. Also, the carpet had hair and stains in it. I don't think my room was thoroughly cleaned before I arrived.

I enjoyed my entire stay! This will be my go-to for Oxford from now. It was clean, staff were lovely, shower was nice, towels soft, bed super comfy. Even enough room for me to do a workout in my room!

I used booking.com filter for on-site parking which gave me this hotel but they dont have on-site parking.
carpark was quite close but cost extra £40 for the night.

It was a good experience overall. Staff, facilities, services all good. Location excellent. A bit expensive in my opinion, but may be because we made a late booking.
Do not like the concept of rooms with inside toilets. Prefer them separate.
7.0
Very well located. Clean, tidy, nice room, helpful and professional staff.
Very expensive for what is basically a ‘Premier Inn’ quality hotel. View from the room was an inner courtyard so not very picturesque and not much natural light.
10.0
Close to city centre. Very friendly staff and good breakfast.
Drop off only - plan to park elsewhere. Redbridge Park and Ride out side of city worked well for us via short bus ride. Or short hoof from train station.

Room was clean and easy to control the temperature.
The description of the hotel included amenities such as free bike hire, which turned out not to be the case when we arrived, which feels like we were mis-sold.
8.0
Excellent location minutes away from city centre.
Good facilities on site.
Hotel team helpful and friendly.
No on-site parking had to use nearby shopping centre incurring additional costs for parking.
This was not made very clear in the advert as the initial advertisement title which said car parking available. It was made clear in the email from the hotel where to park once the booking was made, with details where to park.
The duty manager was very professional when I gave her my feedback on the parking matter. She said it had been raised to booking.com and if you scroll down in the advert it apparently details about no on site parking. She did provide complimentary coffees.

Breakfast sausages were cheap and nasty and the scrambled egg was mass produced using egg powder
The bed cover was still a summer cover and we were cold at night

Location was fantastic, very central for a stay in Oxford, The roof terrace is a lovely addition and a great way to wind down at the end of a day too.
The staff were very friendly, however, unable to answer even some basic questions about the location or the stay.

From a walking perspective, the position of the hotel was excellent. The facilities and staff were all of a high standard.
The lack of on-site parking is going to always be a problem if arriving by car. This was made worse because one of the main access roads (Botley Rd) was blocked for vehicles by major road works.

The location was excellent and we chose to pay for a view of the castle which was worth it. The location in the city yet in a very quiet side rode is excellent. The staff were all very helpful and the breakfast staff were especially helpful and friendly.
The main dislike was in the room. There were no draws to put clothes in. Just one cupboard with no shelves so you had to pile them all on top of each other. I would have preferred the room to be slightly bigger.

a lovely hotel and great location for me - walking distance from the train station and the city center (it's actually located opposite the oxford castle) - my room was really nice and clean and cleaned very efficiently. the window wouldn't open but had a nice view to the stream. the bed was super comfortable and the shower set up was so nice i need to remember it for my place. the breakfast was good and had varied options but was the same everyday (this didn't bother me i just mention it in case you need to know). i would have loved more info about the city but also i didn't really ask. also they have a nice rooftop garden with lovely views.
my room was connect to another room with a locked door. as a single female traveler it took a while to feel relaxed, in addition to that the actual door to my room would not close properly unless pushed and i found myself not closing it properly while in a rush to go in at least twice.
