quiet and peaceful hotel with a nice view of mt fuji. Staff were super hospitable during checkout and kudos to them for providing a complimentary transport to the kawaguchiko station!.
It was quite pricey and out of the way a little.
4.1
The private onsen was great - we were allowed to reserve it even before the check-in time! The staff was very kind and polite
All good

The staff was very helpful and also kind to us. We liked the welcoming reception with cookies and drinks. The public bath was very good, and the room was very big and comfortable.

Great view of Mt. Fuji. The staffs are friendly.
Too expansive for what you get. The unit needs renovation for what they charged,

some of the staff is inflexible and unhelpful. don’t feel welcome as a foreigner

I liked the whole experience of staying in a typical Japanese house, the bathroom was the cutest, the Onsen experience and the culinary at dinner time!
I like everything but the mattress and pillows could be a bit more comfy
4.1
Location is close to Mt. Fuji. Staff were very helpful fixing my bed.
They should not sell this room at this price. Whilst much of the hotel has been renovated, the 'budget' room is very old and stuck down the end of an unlit part of the hallway. Further to this I had to request a new mattress and extra pillows in the middle of the night or I would not have slept. Don't be fooled by the impressive lobby interior pictures and the onsen - I stayed at hostels nicer than this room for a quarter of the price.

Beautiful hotel! the view of Mount Fuji from our room was unforgettable!

Huge room
Surprised to find a private Onsen bath in the room - a great bonus.
Two comfy double beds as well as futons - not big enough for us to share so we had our own beds.
Factilites were nice - two traditional onsens - gender split, one outdoor the other inside with a great view of Fuji.
The public areas of the hotel feel a little corporate/standard.
It's located close to the lake, but the area itself is a little empty feeling.

Room size was very good. Shower was great and futons were exceptionally comfortable.
We booked a large corner room but unfortunately it wasn't as romantic as was planned as it was equipped throughout with wheelchair equipment. I think we should have been given a discount as we were not advised of this.
View of Fuji from window was unfortunately interrupted by power lines. Hotel quite dated.

The Oike Hotel is a traditional style Onsen hotel with spacious and clean rooms that can include their own onsen style baths, futons, eating area, and free snacks and drinks. It also has both indoor and outdoor public onsens, and a great lounge area where you can relax in the evenings. All of these can include great views of Mount Fuji. The staff are polite and helpful, and very patient even when one's Japanese might be less than fluent. The breakfast is pretty good, and includes a range of options, including traditional Japanese food.
You can walk to the hotel from the station within about 15-20 minutes, but they do also provide a free shuttle bus service.
The safe in the room broke at one point, but the staff fixed this problem very promptly after I told them about it. It is expensive, and possibly better done as part of a group.

was a really enjoyable stay and had a beautiful view of Fuji. Staff was friendly and helpful in assisting us in our need and inquiries on places to go and transportation.

Very helpful and friendly staff

totally disappointed, the room like a storage room, extremely small and dark, totally different from other rooms shown in website. Everything are smelly and old.

lovely environment and close to the lake and market. Futon and clothing was very comfortable. Onsen experience was great and had a beautiful view of Mt Fuji.

clean, cozy and the staffs are very nice
4.1
lovely property and beautiful baths
gorgeous if you’re lucky with view.
For the price, slightly expensive. Everything is an add on (not included) be warned e.g. onsen, food, beverages etc.
Only because the sky cleared for Fuji was it worth it. When booking know that Fuji is temperamental and you may not see it, consider in to the price of hotel

- I love the outdoor and indoor onsen baths there. They are soo good even i coudnt see Mt.Fuji
( this is my 6th time staying here with different people; all my friends love it)
- the room is small as the average of the business hotel here
- you need to get off from the redline bus at station no.7 and have a short walk here

the location and proximity to Mt Fuji was great. had a view of Fuji San from our room. breakfast was excellent. view from the upstairs onsen was lovely.
the futon beds were a little uncomfortable compared to others we used throughout our extended stay in Japan. we had some difficulty finding places to eat for dinner during our off-season stay. would be helpful if the hotel’s restaurant were available to booking.com guests for dinner.

We loved it.
The Onsen were really pretty and with a great view of the Fuji. The Hotel staff was really courteous and friendly.
There was this really beautiful selfservice winebar. The wine was amazing.
The only thing is the size.
20ml and 75ml are to small.
100ml and 200ml would make more sense to me.
Otherwise it was great.
4.1
nice view of Fujiyama on the living room.
kids friendly - with a playroom
I cannot book the dinner while I arrived the hotel and there are only a few options nearby.
the view of Fujiyama at my in-room onsen is blacked by grills due to privacy
