The only thing we like was that the beach area was very clean and calm

I recently stayed at the Dream Sands Hotel in Cancun, and unfortunately, it was a deeply disappointing experience. The customer service left much to be desired; the staff was far from welcoming, making our stay uncomfortable from the start. Additionally, the food was subpar at best. We had high hopes for enjoying delicious meals during our stay, but we were sorely disappointed with the quality and taste of the food served at the hotel’s restaurant. What bothered us even more was the clear segregation of regular guests from preferred members. This created an unwelcome atmosphere and left us feeling like second-class visitors. Overall, our stay at the Dream Sands Hotel was far from the dreamy vacation we had hoped for. We would strongly advise potential guests to consider other options in Cancun to ensure a more enjoyable and inclusive experience.

Amazing!

I was apprehensive given the amount of negative reviews but honestly, it was worth every cent. The beach stunning, rooms are clean and spacious. the pool temperature was perfect and the staff are amazing. I honestly wish I were still there and return in a heartbeat. if you’re thinking twice, don’t. definitely visit here!

sometimes the evening entertainment was a little loud when I was trying to have an early night however, it ended by 10pm so it wasn’t too annoying.

The staff right from the entrance, to the reception, the waiters, waitresses, room attendants, bar personals and the VIP team...each single staff you ran into was kind and attentive to your irrespective of whether it was a child or an adult. Thank you for being exceptional, you made our vacation so bonding.

The staff were really nice, there was a large variety at breakfast, the beach was beautiful and the location was great.

The food is really awful, everything is americanised which is a shame because I would have wanted more Mexican food. Even the drinks felt really sugary and filled with colorâmes. The hotel is really run down too. I wouldn’t recommend it.

The room in itself wasn’t as posh as you would expect from the rest of the hotel (we had an ocean view room). But the amenities make up for it

Great beach and location with decent food

The staff at the beach and pool are just great! We laid on the beach for hours and they will come pretty often to refill our drinks and even brought us food from the beach restaurant (you are supposed to get it yourself) . The service is A+. The beach also one of the best we have stayed at in Cancun, absolutely calm with no waves, and very little seaweed (which is a huge problem in the Rivera Maya).

The quality of the food is not great, it’s OK, you still find something to eat and won’t starve but it is just average. The same food gets “recycled” from lunch to dinner in the buffet, so you are better off going to any of the other restaurants. Breakfast was great, with a great variety of pastries, and breakfast items.

Very friendly and accommodating staff.

Stupid layout of the building and pools. Very bad plan with the most of important details missing. Air-condition dripping with brown spots. Cocroaches and bed bugs in the room. Non-working stopages of the drain in the bath and sink. Shortage of towels. Very limited menu. Lines to the restaurant, and it is not the peak of the season, and Very poor menu in all restaurants.

Terrible from the point we checked in. the staff tried to help but I think the management didn’t want to help us.

They messed up our booking. We didn’t get the rooms we booked and booked two rooms for only two people instead of four, payed $1200 more. Some restaurants were closed, the entire resort is dated and needed repairs. There was no air conditioning in the common areas of the entire resort. overall just a bad experience! I do blame Booking.com for possibly messing up our booking. Read reviews before going to this place, all the bad reviews complain about the same things.

Everything was amazing. From the food to the view. Everyone was very nice and helpful. The whole place was very clean at all times and the staff were very good at their jobs. We had an amazing time and the property was very close to everything. Would definitely stay here again.

Some of the staff at the buffet were a little rude but still did a good job

Disappointing

The dinner resorts were good. The hotel is located within walking distance to the strip.

The resort is outdated. The tub in the shower did not drain and there was not good lightning. During the day, only the buffet and one restaurant were open. The breakfast buffet was terrible, which made us leave off the resort for food for breakfast and lunch. Dinner restaurants were great! There is also limited limited entertainment.
