My family and I loved everything about the place. The location was excellent, we had a fantastic villa 15 steps from the beach with beautiful Ocean views and the sound of waves to put you to sleep. The chef is brilliant with a great menu and fantastic specials every night. The staff were friendly and attentive to every detail. The pictures and website do not do this place justice, it far exceeds what you see online.

Csak maximálisan tudok nyilatkozni a szállásról, minden igényét kielégíti annak, aki kikapcsolódásra vágyik!
Gyönyörű, minden nap gondozott, ápolt kert, pazar kilátás az Indiai óceánra és a medencére!
Szobák tiszták a takarító személyzet profi!
Nincs ilyen!

Our stay at Zanziblue was a dream realized. The hospitality was exceptional; we felt at home from the start. Every return to the resort was met with warm welcomes from the team. Requests were promptly handled via WhatsApp, making us feel truly cared for.
The culinary journey was a seafood lover's fantasy. The freshest catches prepared to perfection made every meal a delight. Hazel, Jeanne, and the team went above and beyond, creating a cherished experience. Special kudos to waiter Hasan for his impeccable service.
In conclusion, Zanziblue is a hidden gem that deserves all the accolades it receives. It's more than a resort; it's a haven of heartfelt hospitality, a paradise for food enthusiasts, and a place where you'll find yourself embraced by a warm, welcoming family. Our time at Zanziblue will forever hold a special place in our hearts, and we eagerly anticipate the day we can return to this slice of paradise.
Everything was perfect.

The beach was clean and very safe. We took our morning walk and enjoyed the water too. Food was excellent, we loved the breakfast French toast with coconut ice cream and sourdough bread with egg and avocadoes. For lunch we had ordered pumpkin ravioli which was really special and extraordinary. The view from the room was excellent and gave a serene feel with the beach, pool, hammocks, resting chairs and greenery around. The rooms were also tastefully furnished with spacious private patios. Hassel at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. We also enjoyed a good snorkeling trip with Osman.
Rooms could be provided with a cloth hanger to dry beach clothes.

Everything, everyone was amazing and made us feel like part of a family, Hazel, Dorris, Bakari, Mudathar the whole staff, the drivers everyone. It was an amazing experience great secluded location right on the ocean, will definitely recommend. We were sad to leave
Nothing to fault about our stay

Both breakfast and dinner was excellent, way better than elsewhere in the island. The staff was super helpful and friendly!

Lovely staff, fantastic food, and great hotel overall. Plenty of room in the attic for a family of four. The sand on the beach is the finest I've ever seen. The staff was very attentive and accomodating, and even brought me a surprise birthday cake. The restaurant is excellent, we were there for four nights and tried different dishes each day. Not sure I'd get full board again as three courses at each meal is a bit too much for me. The tuna tataki was extraordinary, the seafood delicious, even the steak was amazing. The hotel grounds are really nice, and the pool is great for kids.
It's not the hotel's fault but the pollution on the beach was really quite sad. So much rubbish coming from the ocean with the tide. The plastic pollution across the island is really bad actually. Perhaps the hotel could employ people to clean the beach everyday of all the random bags, diapers, and pieces of clothing coming with the tide. The only recommendation I have for the hotel itself is installing ceiling fans in the restaurant. The dessert options were not fantastic.

Zanziblue it’s a paradise on earth ! i was in a lot of this type of hotel on whole world but Zanziblue … it’s state of mind. I have never felt like in this hotel before. If you come to Zabzibar you must check this place … people, food, hotel, garden, view, beach, massage, joga, salsa class… Wow . Thank you Zanziblue team, you are the best people in the world! thank you for everything ! I don’t have world to show how we spend this amazing time with U <3 Sabina and Doris … you girls are angels.

All the stuff were very friendly. Our attic accommodation was excellent - plenty of room for parents and kids, air condition, free drinking water, access to shared kitchen in the villa, nice balcony with sea view. Nic pool (not too deep) was great for kids. Hotel stuff also cleared the beach every day. We also tried the kayaks.
Both managers, Sabina and Hazel, also helped us when our daughter had allergic reaction - provided us with free transportation to doctor and arranged everything for us. Thank you, we highly recommended this accommodation!
4.7
Supernice place run by Doris, Hazel and friends. We were upgraded to a topfloor big room which was nice. Excellent location especially for trips to Mnemba. The hotell helped us with all we needed. Breakfast was really good and dinner was super. The restaurant is run by a swedish chef and the food was great. Beach was beautiful but as in all beaches on the east side you have the tide. It did not bother us much. You can rent bikes, kajaks and further. The surrounding was flowery and colourful and really beautiful. Spa massage was great.
The bed in the addict did not have moequito net, but I think the other rooms have. If it's mosquito time it i snice to have. The pool was quite small but seemed good enough for those who used it.
The hotell only have sunbeds on the "gated" area (only gated by nice hedges), no beds directly on the beach which would have improved the feeling. When it's really hot you wish for the extra breeze from the beach and ocean. How ever, over all great and none of the above would make us not recommend the hotel!
4.7
The staff was wonderful (helpful and friendly and can organise all kinds of activities), the location is great, not crowded. The food was also amazing and there was a great choice of it. It can be served in the restaurant, on the beach or in your room. Right in front of the hotel is a great beach, which is almost uninhabited. You can go in the sea during low tide and see all kinds of marine life. The rooms are comfortable and can get cleaned as often as you wish. So… 10 points for Gryffindor!

one of the most amazing vacations we’ve ever had, the location and the rooms are just perfect for a summer retreat, the reception (specifically Sabina) was so welcoming and helped us alot during our stay and made is so comfortable for us, the food is extremely delicious as well! I highly recommend Zanziblue for your stay in Zanzibar
some ants, bugs and bees were annoying during the stay but that is out of the control of the hotel

The premises is beautiful and the staff top notch. Restaurant is rich and tasty. Close to the beach and great offers for getaways.
The negative with our experience was maybe a rather unfortunate one; during our stay there was a large family with four kids occupying the “main” villa (the one more exposed and overlooking the pool). The kids were loud in the pool and around the pool ground for most of the day. Apparently they visit on ‘school vacations’ which I (unless you have children yourself and/or don’t mind the commotion) personally would avoid. For someone who came to relax it got extremely annoying and uncomfortable (especially when the parents reacted negatively to being asked if they could kindly tell their children to lower their voices). This is a place where you are sort of “forced” (in a good way) to spend most time on the hotel’s property as there is little to none other places worth going to nearby (highly recommend doing half day-/day trips during the stay). Anyways, if you’re here for a relaxing time I would check with the hotel that there aren’t any large families with children occupying the villa in front of the pool during your stay. The hotel should avoid allowing single big families occupy the “main” villa, as they end up treating the area as their own. Would like to come back, hopefully next time without the screaming.
- Reply to property response: after 3 days of constant noise by the pool a certain threshold was breached (and we were not the only ones annoyed). Medical doctors or not, they did not seem to respect other guests at this rather small resort. I don't mind families with children (there were other families with kids there also who were very nice and interactive), however placing a large family in the villa in front of the pool where they can treat the common area as their own is not very tactical when it comes to other guests feeling welcome - families should be placed in one of the villas on the side, where there is more privacy and prevents the pool area from being occupied solely by a single family.

The 2 female managers were outstanding. Excellent food. Dreamstaff. Very nice layout of the villa's on the domain.
The wifi was sometimes not performing...

Everything about Zanziblue was wonderful. The entire staff was kind and accommodating. No desire was unanswered and all with such friendliness and care.
I want to express my deep gratitude and appreciation for all that was done to make my birthday so special.
Special thanks to Hazel, Sabina, and Tuma for their incredible care and knowledge. Each of them deserves five stars for their service.
The property is gorgeous and feels like a secret garden. Food delicious, spa charming and wonderful, housekeeping staff so kind and friendly.
I can’t wait to return someday! The next time I’m in Zanzi this will be where I stay.
Nothing to note

It is a secluded location with nothing much around which adds to the serenity and tranquility of the place. If you are looking for a quiet getaway, this is the place to be.The hotel is beautiful and the staff are even better.
They try and help you with all your requests. Special mention to manager Sabina and the excursion specialist Othman.
I wished the restaurant menu could have a little more options and the beach was not really swim worthy. It had a lot of seaweed and during low tide, the shoreline was too far away and we saw a few urchins as well

What wasn't there to like? The staff, location, communication, professionalism, and the premises were beyond breathtaking! So many useful services were available and it really felt like my friends and I were in a dream over there during our stay. Food was organic and wonderful, staff showed great hospitality, the property and villa overall was very clean, and the manager's were very responsive. I would recommend staying here 10/10 and go back to stay for my next visit!
There is not one thing I can mention.

They always tried to do more than was expected -made a chicken soup even it was not on the menu, got stamps for postcards etc. Wide range of activites available, we enjoyed massages and visit to spice farm. Ultimate place where to relax and celebrate your life.

nice cozy quaint and calm property with a superb restaurant serving food by an award-winning chef.
we highly recommend going for the generous half-board or full board stays to enjoy the superb food.
super friendly and helpful staff. perfect place to wind down and chill.
pool is quite small and during low-tide (which covered our entire 3-day stay) it’s near impossible to swim at the beach meaning if you don’t plan for excursions outside of the hotel, enjoying a nice swim can be tricky.
we learned a bit late that the East coast’s low tide (where this hotel is located) is overwhelmingly bad compared to those of Kendwa and the north/north-west coasts which are much much milder.
This isn’t the hotel’s fault of course- but maybe an improvement point could be to purchase a simple small boat with regular day trips to a deeper point in the ocean (off the shore) - for visitors to be able to enjoy the ocean during low tide- even if for a fee. Just a suggestion…
