Highly recommended to help you get the best out of your stay in York.

Fabulous location in the centre of York - everything is walking distance with a host of dining choices on your doorstep. The accommodation is great, a lovely combination of olde worlde and modern. We were there on a cold weekend and the place was toasty warm. Great showers with plenty of hot water. It says there's a single bed, but it's actually a small double and the room is a decent size too.

Our visit to York was enhanced by the quality, situation and comfort of this apartment.

Comfortable bedrooms, three toilets and two showers. Well equipped kitchen and lounge. Centrally situated in York, walking distance from most tourist attractions and easy to find from the train station. Quiet street below overnight.

Not something which we didn’t like but feel it should be mentioned - the stairs in the apartment were quite steep and narrow. Would not suit anyone with mobility issues.

Perfect location, great amenities, Have recommended to friends and would stay again.

Fab location, right in the centre of York. Was lively in the evenings but that added to the experience. The children loved sitting in the window and people watching.

The room at the back overlooks the "beer garden" of the pub next door so the chatter at night might not be great for some but didn't bother us.

Lovely apartment in the perfect location

The location was incredible, very central and all the attractions were a short walk away, as well as lots of bars and restaurants. The apartment was beautiful and clean and the gentleman who handed over the keys was lovely and friendly as was the lady who came to clean.

Great weekend and would stay at the Barbican again, everywhere was easy walking distance.

Location was brilliant. Very clean apartment. Was met by Chris who let us in and explain about the apartment which helped make our stay so much better. Lovely clean bedding and towels.

Bed uncomfortable in the largest bedroom on top floor could feel springs through mattress, lock broken on shower room on top floor. otherwise everything else in good order.

Great location, lovely apartment.

Loved the location with a good choice of cafes at the doorstep for breakfast. The apartment was clean and had a small supply of tea and coffee. Towels were soft and the bathrooms were small, but nice.

I called the host when we arrived at the property to be told we had to wait for someone to arrive. I did provide an hour's slot for arrival in advance. After a little waiting, I text them to see what time they would arrive so we could go for a drink while we wait and the female was rude to me. It wasn't long after that, that a gentleman arrived with the keys and he was very helpful and friendly. The double beds were small and two members of the party had to sleep on the floor/sofas. The beds were uncomfortable.

Excellent base for exploring York on foot

Fabulous location, comfortable apartment excellently appointed. Friendly managers. Wonderful selection of cafes and restaurants within steps from the apartment- highly recommend Everest Nepalese!

Some night noise from adjacent cafes/bars, however it was to be expected being in the city centre and didn't disturb us too much. The steep stairs at entry and sloping floors on the second level wouldn't be suitable for anyone with mobility issues, but just added character for us!
