The staff went the extra mile from the minute we walked in. We were given a free upgrade to a king suite, offered doggy bags for room service and to keep our bags safe while we went shopping the next day. A stress free experience.
Nothing!

Stayed many times before
Central location
Window didnt seal properly there fore the noise was horrendous from music in local bars, despite being 5 floors up we still couldnt hear our tv over the noise

The location was central and easy walking distance from trains, buses and pubs/ restaurants around wharf
Very noisy as our room faced on Main Street. We weren't overly worried though as everything was close by.

I had told the hotel we were celebrating our anniversary. When we arrived at our room they had decorated it with petals on the bed, balloons, chocolates and mini bottles of gin. Lovely thought that made our anniversary celebrations more special

The buffet breakfast was absolutely lovely and had plenty to choose from. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and had nice complimentary toiletries.

Sehr zentral gelegen. Hilfsbereite Mitarbeiter/innen. Komfortable und saubere Zimmer mit gutem Zimmerservice. Gute Verkehrsanbindung.

Brilliantly situated, beautiful building and great restaurant on site. The room was clean and in great shape, bed was comfy and the air con worked a treat.
I mentioned that it was my partners 30th Birthday and some lovely confetti was laid out on the bed along with balloons a sweet treat and card on the table.
Only thing I would mention is that it isn’t made clear which parking to use at time of booking. One car park gives a discount for Marriott Customers which we weren’t aware of so ended up paying a lot more at another car park.

Location was brilliant, 5 minutes from station, shops, bars and restaurants all on your doorstep
Breakfast was good, but £35 for 2 x breakfasts is a little pricey.

Its location, the staff were friendly and the hotel is nice.
That under the bed was dirt, dusty and bits of rubbish were scattered around under the bed. I had to ask the desk to send up the dressing gowns and slippers that were meant to be their.

The staff are always so professional and welcoming. Plus the location is excellent.
The bed in our room was very uncomfortable and no support, plus we seemed to be next to a generator which kept me awake through the night.

Location-wise, it's perfect. Everything is walkable and it's easy to navigate to and from if you're out shopping and want to head for a break. In terms of sound, we were there for the May Bank Holiday and there were a lot of stags / hen parties etc. You could hear music from outside the window but it was muffled enough that I was able to rest. I do recommend earplugs though if you're a light sleeper because you don't know what your fellow guests are like!
The front desk staff are fab and very welcoming and check-in and out was super easy.
Breakfast is expensive per person if you're staying multiple nights (It's close to 17 euros pp / around 14 pounds). If you're on a budget and don't mind having a small one it's much more cost-effective to go out and get something like porridge pot / fruit and eat it in your room.

Room very clean, comfortable bed. Liked having a mini fridge and large TV.
Liked the Gino Da Campo restaurant - good ambiance, great service and good quality food.
Shower was poor in terms of water power, difficult to adjust shower head as well. Would prefer a walk in shower to having to climb into a bath. Towels had definitely seen better days - would like them to be larger too.
Buffet breakfast okay but a bit chaotic on Sunday morning with items running out, even bread, and slow to get replenished. Better on Monday morning. Staff should make it clear that can order eggs in other styles - thought it was scrambled eggs only (available at the buffet). Or, have a notice on each table letting people know this.

Varied breakfast selection in a lovely restaurant; the hotel has been given a recent facelift and looks great. Comfortable room and right next to the train station, which was great.
Shower screen was not very well designed and shower head lacked adjustable movement so the shower wasn’t the best experience

Staff were amazing, welcoming, friendly and helpful. The hotel is located well for the city centre is clean and comfortable and has a Gino's restaurant. The bedroom was spacious and comfortable with a good sized bed which was comfortable. The room had a safe, wardrobe, iron, fridge and good sized tv. The lounge was nice and comfortable but to small for the number of guests in Executive rooms.
The Executive lounge is too small for the number of guests that have a qualifying room to use it. It was over crowded with no where to sit and relax and as it has been placed in the main reception part of the building there is very little seating elsewhere. I paid for an executive room with lounge access but couldn't use it and had to ferry food and drink to our bedroom as this was the only place we could go - very poor.
The bathroom shower was not good, very weak flow which meant having to stand against the wall to make use of it.

Happy with my stay here - good staff, good facilities, good breakfast
I last stayed here about 10 years ago and it doesn't seem to have changed much - the rooms could do with a refresh

Everything from the time we checked in, the staff in the restaurant and the comfort of the bedroom was first class.
