Great location, lovely room and the hotel as a whole is smart inside and out. It feels very individual, with lots of nice details. I loved the dusky colours and comfortable furnishings, proper dark curtains, lots of hanging space, super comfortable bed and nice Occitane toiletries. Breakfast was the best we’ve had in a hotel in this price range. Lovely little selection of pastries, yogurts, granola etc on a buffet, plus a delicious hot menu far beyond just a standard cooked breakfast, all freshly cooked to order. Staff are friendly and efficient, it was no trouble to change all our bedding as soon as we arrived, as I had forgotten to mention I’m allergic to feathers. Annoying for them, but they managed not to show it!
Nothing.

Breakfast was nice and the hotel is in the best location
We have been to this hotel three years in a row, last two years of our stay was brilliant, this time round was disappointing. We paid £194 for one night and this time our room didn’t have a bath, our bed was extremely small for two people and really hard and uncomfortable, the bed had a massive gap at the top of the bed. The sink was a poor design as the water splashes on the floor and it’s not wide enough so if you lean over to wash your face you actually hit your head on it! This year staying was disappointing as we spent a lot of money.

Location and easy check in
Room too hot, breakfast costly and extra and no option of just tea and toast (other than paying £16!) And no parking!
3.5
Breakfast first class. Helpful staff
Room a bit tatty - poor paintwork and scuffs.
Overpriced at £280 per night

Excellent location, lovely hotel, room and bathroom were both spotlessly clean.
Nothing.

Location
Bar and restaurant ambience
Very small room on first floor with ugly outdoor view (Room 109)
Bathroom shower screen inadequate with unsealed gap between glass panels
Bathroom skirting and basin support feet grubby
3.0
Location and the unusual buildings. The room had an excellent large bathroom with a good shower and roll top bath. The bed was comfortable. The room was quiet.
Property generally a bit tired and needs a refurbishment. Room needed redecoration and new carpets. General property looks a bit neglected and was probably impressive several years ago. Room not particularly clean.

I have stayed before. It’s a great location. Bar is fab. Rooms cosy.
Nothing. All good.

Great location, clean and comfortable
Very small attic window, corridors are a bit confusing
2.0
The room was an incredibly small attic room. It felt very bad value to be honest (£187) My friends checked in before me and were shown the same room and when they complained were moved to a very large double with free standing baths etc

Hotel Du Vin is in the centre of Brighton and the location couldn't be better for a walk along the Beach, wandering through the lanes and eating and drinking in one of the many bars and restaurants.
I'm delighted I discovered this stunning hotel - all equipped with a beautiful room, which i believe we were upgraded too....an unexpected Seaview and bath tub in the room was lovely.
The bed was so comfortable, room facilities outstanding and we will definitely stay again!

lovely staff , lovely food and a gorgeous sunny courtyard in a great position !
4.5
Lovely stylish hotel with great staff, an oasis in the madness the can be Brighton especially at the weekend! Nice rooms with great bar and restaurant. Location is central to all Brighton has to offer.
Street outside can be noisy especially with party goers at the weekend. No free parking, with public parking options expensive.
4.0
Liked the ambience of the hotel, our room was spacious but only after we asked for a change
Breakfast service good
No sofa or armchair in the Room
Very expensive for an average stay
Parking tricky but we were fine because of my wife's disabled status
3.5
The area around West Street is quite "rough" at the weekend, with lots of stag and hen groups so having a private bar to retire to was great.
I expected more of a self-service selection at breakfast given that is the approach but there was something for everyone on the menu. The coffee machine had trouble keeping up!
4.0
lovely spot and a friendly welcome when arrived. bar area was very well decorated and set up.
room was very clean with everything needed
nice glance view of sea and pier
room was in tower not as big and deluxe as we thought. not sure what made it a deluxe room. room overlooked into street and main road. view was obscured by condensation. so noisy from people passing and lots of commotion from about 11 until late early hours meant sleep was disrupted
