They probably have a nice golf course, but didn’t try that.
Obsolete in every aspect. The room has been refurbished (new bathroom and new carpets, very intense smell of plastic), but there was NO telephone in the room, no room service (although promised in the description online and room Booklet too), old tv “Sanyo” far too small for such a big room and the quality of furniture is awful, straight out of 1989. Of course no air con and just a sad vertical fan (not more than £30) for the whole family room. Number of towels lower than expected. Spent over £200 for this. Would have been fair to spend maybe £70 or £80.

Beds were too small. More like kids beds.

Rooms are massive in comparison to any chain I have been in before, very clean but the decor is a little dated which isnt really an issue and probably to a lot of peoples taste. Very quiet both times I have stayed. Good breakfast, made to order, coffee was good, staff attentive and really friendly, nice bar area and courtyard for the evening, plenty of parking, didnt eat there in the evening as I was visiting family near by but second time staying and will use again.
It was all good, ill stay again next time im down

Location
No air con in the rooms , called reception for a fan , lady couldn’t leave reception said she would go and have a look when someone covered her but she never came and didn’t call to say they didn’t have any. The rooms were honestly so hot it was unbearable
Noisy guests , banging the door every time they came up the stairs .

Very clean and atmospheric
The noise at night and door squeaks

We where met by a lovely warm welcome at the desk. The pool was lovely and warm and staff. Our second night was a better sleep. Breakfast was good.
The floor in the pool changing room was a bit slippery. It was a noisy night with wedding guests in and slambing doors. The room shower wasn't quite warm enough. Breakfast was more expensive than on the booking site.

I have never know a hotel to lock its doors at 10:25 and then having to stand there for 5+ mins calling to get the night Porter wasn’t a good start and that was only the beginning, when the night Porter opened the doors he then checked me in and shown me to my room which was wrong as I had selected a double room not a twin with single beds anyway I was that exhausted from a long day I just said it’s fine I want to get my head down, upon actually getting into bed the guy in the next rooms snoring was so terrible that’s all I could hear I tossed and turned for about 40 mins befor finally having enough got dressed and booked a different hotel at 23:20, messaged the property asking for a refund due to the noise, wrong room ect and got told we have a no cancellation policy and because the night Porter offered to move me to a room which I declined that there is nothing they could do.

the bed was lovely and large and very comfortable and the shower was brilliant
the noise from other guests bedrooms (thin walls) and the door slamming from closing of doors ..you need to rethink the doors you have . staff didnt seem bothered when we complained - the wifi was rubbish - telephone cable was a trip hazard - it looked like they had stopped renovations after they painted the walls and did up the shower room as the doors were in terrible condition and looked like the original wood stained effect from the early 1990 - there was no beds cabinet on one side of bed with a light and the place looked like a remand centre when we drove up

Good location
Rooms where noisy could hear every one else's conversations. Woken up with noise every day. No toilet roll holder. Light in room was only above the bed and very bright

spa facilities were an added bonus - staff were very efficient, friendly & polite

Beautiful views, huge rooms, staff so friendly and helpful and polite. Quite amazing. Its a huge place.
It's tired. The carpets in the staircases and passages need replacing. But completely serviceable.

Wonderfully helpful and friendly staff, huge room, mahoosive car park, plenty of facilities on site (which I didn't get time to try). Cracking breakfasts.
The only thing I could fault seems to be an affliction many hotels suffer from. What is it with the bathroom toilet roll holder installation industry that they seem to think directly behind the loo seat is acceptable? I realise that the stretching contortions required to turn round and get some paper may help golfers warm up for their backswing, but for the rest of us it would be nice to be able to reach it without all that...

The bar is nice and large. The restaurant does good food. Used several times for work and always pleasant staff.
Rooms are a good size with hot showers and comfy bed.

Nothing. Noise was the biggest problem but aside from this staff were not overly friendly, room wasn’t great or particularly clean (hairs over the pillows and dirty carpet)
Not really one to be bothered by noise but did not sleep at all until about 6:30am. It was new years, we are a young couple in our 20’s and had gone out ourselves. Unfortunately we were not aware of a New Year’s party happening at the hotel until we walked in else we would have stayed somewhere else. Music was blaring and thumping through to our room until gone 2am. Walls were paper thin and it sounded like next door were quite literally in our room. We could hear everything from them unlocking the door and turning the light switches on to other things.. Bar closed at 4am so guests began banging and smashing their way down the hallway. Tiny window onto what we think would be the roof over the kitchen, massive fans started whirring at 6am and didn’t turn off. We wasn’t expecting to hear nothing at all as it is a hotel on New Year’s Eve but this was extremely loud.
