Wonderful location, quick walk to everything!! , Clean, comfy and perfect for a family.

Perfect location. Easy to access and great security system. They allowed us to leave a suitcase there for several days.
That I wasn't told I needed to do a walk through check out with an employee. It could have made us very late since we were on the way to the airport. I didn't like that they said you couldn't have guests. It's a private reservation not a hostel.

Location is great. It is located at one of the bussiest and best streets in Cartagena Old Center.
The pictures are way better than what the property really is. The property is super dark. There is only one bathroom for all of the guests. The swiming pool is really small and did not look so clean. There is a very strange method to ring a doorbel to get in the property, but it is strange because you need to ring the doorbel to also get out of the property. If they dont ring you when you want to get out, you are basically trapped.

the location was great
there was no recepction, we ask for a other towel and the answer was that we needed to wait until the next day as they would change all of them (because we were living). The pictures were complete different as the real property

Nothing
1. It is very noisy not only in the evening for all the parties but you are woken up with street loud noises. This should be clarify in the property specifications.
2. The access to the hotel is by a buzzer and many times the service is “busy” so you can go in and out as on the time you wish.
3. There is nobody of staff members to help you. You are on your own. This information should be on the booking.
4. the receptionist arrived 20 min after we arrived, so we had to wait all that time to access our room… while not knowing what was going on with our booking.
5. The 19 % Tax extra should be more clear on the booking to know the real price not when you are there and having the staff of the hotel chasing you by phone to tell you this news when you are working.
6. The property is run down to high the price for what it offers
7. the shower spills all the water out to the bathroom.

family room size is suitable for 4-people family
the walls are so thin that you always think someone is walking or talking in your room

The place has more potential than it is currently realizing. The pool area, though small, is quite nice, especially the mural paintings that have been done. The air conditioning was very comfortable, and in general the room had a comfortable good energy and smelled nice. Given the problems we had, the staff (Susana particularly) tried their best.
There were a number of problems that could be easily resolved if the management/owners were more on top of things and present: ceiling fan was dirty; shower does not have a proper door/barrier and water spills all over the bathroom; drain does not work well in the shower and produced standing water. Such things already noted in prior reviews, and yet unresolved. The duvet on the bed looked old and was ripped in a couple places. The "safe" was not bolted to anything and was in a cabinet that could be locked but was open from behind anyway. TV controls were taped with black utility tape. Room could use more color or art. No glasses were provided for water or any beverage until we asked and were brought from the other property. BIGGEST PROBLEM: intermittency with wifi infrastructure, without wifi for an entire day and the morning of another day. For what they are charging, this was unacceptable and had been noted in previous reviews but not resolved. When complaining to the owner/manager, I was condescendingly told to "Relax, you're in Colombia." Since he is apparently a non-Colombian national making his living off of tourism in Colombia, I found this comment particularly appalling, as if to say, "you can't expect more in this country," which is absolutely false and a denial of his own responsibilities, since Colombia is quite modernized and other hotels and restaurants seem to have no trouble maintaining dependable wifi. It seemed that the staff, who were trying their best (especially Susana) could not always immediately get answers from him during daytime working hours regarding problems, which is also part of the problem. The owners need to hire on-site managers if not willing to do the work well. The owner brought a priest to bless the place the day wifi was out but in addition needs to urgently pay what is necessary to install proper wifi infrastructure and address other problems mentioned.

Great location, lovely small place, quiet, considering it’s location
I need to replace the showerhead and improve the draining of the shower facility

Location could not be better. On a block between 2 plazas everything at your doorstep. Our room was beautiful with historic style. Very comfortable, air conditioning worked great. Lovely balcony overlooking street. Busy location but noise level was perfectly acceptable considering location. They organized a tour to Isla Rosario and a taxi to the airport at the end of our stay and both were excellent. Spiral staircase to 2nd floor bedroom might not be for everyone but we liked it. Stay here.
Touts in the neighborhood are not the hotel's fault but you must deal with them. The intercom system to get into the building is odd. A touch key would be better. Breakfast being included would be better even if it were offered at the parent property. Difficult to get luggage up the spiral staircase to bedroom. Bathroom could use some shelves.

Great location. Was great to watch all the activity from the balcony. Bed was really comfy.
Receptionist was really nice.
Quality price is really good.
The two rooms are following each other. There is a mezzanine where you have the two single beds and then you enter into the main room.

My room was next door to a home power plant and that made it impossible for me to sleep at night or even to stay during the day. When the power plant motor was on, the noise was absurd and the furniture and cabinet doors in my room began to shake...
Either I had an absurd noise on my room or the whole hotel had no power ar all (Cartagena had a 2 power outages during my period of stay and that seems not so rare, than every shop and hotel there has a small motor power plant).
I had to complain seriously with the staff otherwise they would not help me. At some point my room had no power and no water, Apparently the water needed power to run. The staff told me that it would be a "great exception and benefit" to move me to another room. After I complained again and had asked for my money back, the staff managed to move me to another room less noisy. This second room was located on another hotel from the same owner: Casa Cordoba Estrella. This hotel was bigger and better and also had a power plant. Hooray! I could not hear anything when it was turned on again by the next power outage.

Excellent service and location. Beyond my expectations!

The room had two floors.
The security had to open the door every time we came in and out. Several times they refused to open the door thinking my girlfriend was a prostitute, so we were trapped inside or outside like a prison. The staff woke us up by banging loudly at 9am trying to say that my girlfriend could not spend the night and that it was against the rules despite my reserving two people. The air conditioning was broken and the spiral stairs nearly broke every time we tried to go to the second floor. Furthermore, just to flush out all the issues of my worst Booking.com experience, the hotel started construction next to our room at 8AM on Saturday morning while workers passed through our private balcony area. An unpleasant experience all around.

Was traveling with 12 family members, this property was ideal for us as were were able to rent the entire space. Very spacious. Right in the heart of the historic area, the location was ideal.
Only 1 bathroom in the 3 bedroom unit…but not a game changer, as the location, size, decor of the whole place was so perfect for our group

- Absolutely gorgeous building that takes you back in time and into another time&space. If walls could talk…
- Excellent attention from Maria Celeste and Luz
- Top-notch location in the heart of everything
- Tasteful interior design with beautiful details, impeccably clean and comfortable
- Balcony with lush plants, with views straight into the gorgeous, colourful part of the historic centre
- Drinking water available for guests with no additional charge 🙏
- Silent a/c and fan
- Weak light in the bathroom, will do for a romantic atmosphere shower but not to get ready in front of the mirror
- No washing up liquid, sponge, salt, cooking oil. I don’t mind buying these, however, for short stays I would appreciate the basics to be available
- Despite the central location, it was not noisy in the apartment. However, there doesn’t seem to be any kind of sound isolation between the apartments inside the building. So one can hear their neighbors just like they were in one’s own apartment.
- It’s a little bit of a hassle to get in and out of the building. Guests don’t receive a key (only for the apartment but not for the main entrance of the building) and are supposed to ring a bell to have someone remotely open the door for them every time they need to get in/out. For me personally this one was the greatest inconvenience. This surely serves as a precaution and is understandable but it does impede the freedom of movement of the guest.

location is great
The doors don’t lock. the staff promised to fix it the next day but never came, so we couldn’t leave the place.
The front door i off the building is activated remotely by the staff and we had to wait up to 15 minutes a couple of times for someone to open the door.
There was not hot water and the wifi is quite weak.

Fab location in the old time
Perfect size for 4 people with lovely shared living space
Work was ongoing at the pool but we were still able to use it

Room itself, including bath, was very nice and quite comfortable. Though no windows in the room, the door is glass and so you do get second-hand natural light.
This is more of a room in a house than a hotel. It is managed by another hotel blocks away. This was a bit of an inconvenience in checking in, checking out, and getting information. Pool was a disappointment -- not clean, extraordinarily small, and absolutely no shade at all. We complained about the pool, and (after some time), management allowed us to use the much nicer (but still small) pool in the "main" hotel.
3.0
We were not given a key to access the building and always had to wait for the main door to be open.
The flat itself does not feel very secure and we only had one key for 5 guests. The door to the balcony does not have a lock and the doors to the flat are not very secure.
Also, their access policy is very restrictive. We had two friends staying in a different hotel and wanted them to join us for a couple of hours in the swimming pool to play cards together on the night of the elections curfew but were not allowed. They kept treating us like school children and controlled our access all the time.
The pictures in the website are not a good reflection of the place which is rather run down.

very clean, comfy, great location and loved the balcony. staff was wonderful and helpful. market downstairs and next door was very convenient for water and food.

The property was in the perfect location, right in the middle of everything going on in old town. It was very clean and comfortable with a beautiful balcony that looked onto the bustling street. It was spacious and nicely decorated as well.
The only two things to note is that you are not provided with a key to get in the front door so you need have it opened for you but the receptionist and the bathroom was on the first floor but all the beds were on the second floor which was a pain if you needed to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night.
